WWW's All New Ten Year Younger Plan WEEK THREE (sorry, weeks 1 and 2 were together)

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:28

Sorry for being lax. OK, we're on week 3 now, the rules are:

Sunscreen
lots of water
eat well, lots of fruit and veg
some exercise
be happy
sleep enough
cut back/off on alcohol

I was a bit rubbish yesterday:
toast x 2, Marmite
a packet of Minstrels
a packet of Quavers
fishfingers and peas
chicken and roast veg
3 bean salad
2 glasses of wine
no exercise except going to park, doesn't count
no sunscreen
Oh well, today is another day!

Welcome all. Anyone can join and you don't have to do all the rules if they don't suit you, the idea is to feel happier and better about yourself, this isn't a diet. Hence it's in style, not weight loss.

Hi WWW - just checking in...crap weekend (too much booze - told you I'd fall off the wagon...), but doing better on food front...will try harder this week

moonshine · 08/08/2006 09:42

WWW - have you dropped your apple habit?

Good start for me yesterday although am not making up the usual 2 miles I walk doing the school pick-up. But did 30 mins rebounding, kept out of the sun and threw away the yummy cake I made on Sunday for everyone's sake! Am making the most of the 'post-AF' high I always get.

melrose · 08/08/2006 09:55

Oh can I join in, want to start ttc this month and feel I should get healthier first. so far:

2 cups of tea (one redbush, one early grey)
fresh juice made with 3 apples
1 piece toast with butter and marmite

but drove DS to nursery (v bad as only a 10 min walk)

was just considering raiding a bar of choc I know is in cupboard downstairs and you have stopped me

oxocube · 08/08/2006 20:03

Have followed this for ages and would like to join please. Not particularly good 1st day though!

No sunscreen but sun didn't shine!
banana and cup of green tea (b/fast)
4 mini falafel and salad (lunch)
packet of crisps
Thai green chicken curry (but homemade and no rice or noodles)
bite of meringue to test and don't even like meringue. same with mouthfull of pasta, though do like pasta
3/4 bottle wine
not enough water
About 3 kms walking with dog

Blackduck · 08/08/2006 20:06

Now as I have had the day from HELL I am really proud of the fact I didn't pour a LARGE glass of wine as soon as I came in

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 20:14

I am on 3rd large glass
you don't want to know about the Pick n mix
or the butter
or the salmon, FRIED!

I have completely descended into tea, lack of water, no sunscreen, chocolate mousse, kids' goody bag sweets, no exercise and a glass of wine three nights running plus bedtime at midnight.

Will rectify tomorrow.

Anniemac you're right. We should all do as you say and give up booze. One last glass tonight...

Callmemadam · 08/08/2006 23:36

Hve Not given up booze, Not gone to bed early, Not had much exercise and am back in court tomorrow for 3rd day imprisoned with tin of biscuits (only 2 today, though . Am going to REALLY try for the rest of the week.........

Any suggestions for the feeling happy bit?

Today I have had... muesli, tea, mint tea, 2 litres water, no make up, no sunscreen, no booze, will get to bed by 1030pm

oxocube · 10/08/2006 06:24

Did badly for only my 2nd day
slice of toast and cream cheese
half a croissant and quarter slice of eggy bread
some feta cheese, 2oz olives and tomatoes
few strawberries
2 big slices of pizza
hardly any water and no vegetables
lots of wine
2 chocolates and don't even like chocolate very much

On + side, didn't wear make-up, did remember to moisturise, bed by 9.30 (wine?), did 70 sit ups, walked 5 kms and did 15 mins of Davina dvd (desperately tries to justify self)

Will try really hard today. Would love to love 10 years younger.

oxocube · 10/08/2006 06:25

look that is!

ZippiZapata · 10/08/2006 06:32

please bear in mind you may not be able to post freely here in future

arfishymeau · 10/08/2006 06:41

Not only did I go to bed at midnight, I took 2 croissants with mayo and cheese in.

As part of my new regime (which starts NEXT monday) I have now added a super-duper new set of scales to my body-beautiful arsenal.

This measures your weight, body fat AND hydration. How can I possibly go wrong with so much information about my improving health at my fingertips?

So, I'm enjoying myself this week and will be "back on track" as my oh-so-chirpy WW leader of the 5-stone-weight-loss-of-2003 would say.

I'm usually great at diets. Being away from friends at home is making me lazy. No peer pressure at all.

If I were brave enough I'd post a photo of my arse for some motivational abuse, but I'm not. And you should all be grateful.

WWWLutherKing · 10/08/2006 06:50

Hmm, we're all a bit crap so far this week aren't we? Me too yesterday

toast
piece white bread, cheese, redcurrant jelly
lentil feta salad
crisps
some halal biscuits with nuts on but at least ingredients list wasn't too bad
more lentil salad
fish fingers
bread and butter
2 glasses wine
no sunscreen
brief walking to the park exercise
lots of driving

Today I WILL DO better. I don't think I could shrink a picture of my arse small enough to post tbh!

mummydear · 10/08/2006 07:42

have lost 4lbs in two weeks. Still not having early nights.

Eat crap yesterday as it was DS birthday party and ending up drinking alot whilst kids rampaged through garden !!

Hopefully back on track today

winnie · 10/08/2006 08:21

I am not doing well.
Not enough water yesterday. Not enough fruit & veg yesterday. A beer. No sunscreen. No exercise. 2 hours sleep. NOt feeling happy.
Will try harder...

Caribbeanqueen · 10/08/2006 09:02

Another crap contribution here. Friends staying so ate out lunch and dinner yesterday.

Only one glass of wine though
No sunscreen
Nowhere near enough water
Half a slice of cake

moonshine · 10/08/2006 14:49

Sommeone needs to be the smug one who has done well this week....but it ain't going to be me. Had 3 glasses of wine yesterday and a sack of peanuts and crisps on our picnic - oops. But interesting point about peer pressure. I am definitely more slack in all departments atm as am sitting around at home more and not integrating into 'society', what with school hols 'n all - not good. My task for today is to do 30 mins of exercise and not drink as much coffee....

mummydear · 10/08/2006 15:17

How many weeks have we got to make ourselves look younger ????

Tickle · 10/08/2006 22:12

Good day yesterday - cycled home and got to bed by 10.15!!

Relapse today - still up past 11pm here. Also no proper lunch and lots of licking spoons (occupational hazard - bake cakes for living) So hard to resist at that lack of willpower.

Am drinking lots of water tho, thanks to this thread

Callmemadam · 11/08/2006 00:04

How about we start 10 weeks again next Mon, WWW? I have wine EVERY day since god knows when despite the path to my scales being smothered with Good Intentions: my weight is back up 2lb from last week, I ate 2 cheesy scones my proud 15 yr old DS1 made today, and I am still up despite being wrinkly and saggy and irritable from lack of sleep. Just brill to know I'm not the only slacker

oxocube · 11/08/2006 06:32

Didn't do too badly yesterday.
Ate pretty healthily except for the one slice of pizza lurking in fridge from day before but on the whole, salads, fruit, prawns, lentils, chicken, bit of bread but wholemeal, walked couple of km, played cricket for half an hour with kids, drank loads of water - couldn't stop peeing all day.

Down side, still had lots of wine but felt fine this morning cos drank lots of water. Don't look any younger though! How long is it supposed to take until you notice a difference?

CaligulaCorday · 11/08/2006 06:39

Chinese takeaway, wine, no water or suncream, sitting around all day, generally Waynetta Slob yesterday.

But I did go to bed before 11pm
Today I will exert myself...

WideWebWitch · 11/08/2006 07:03

yesterday
toast x 2
raspberries
2 ham rolls, mustard, no butter
packet Quavers
kit kat
and then made marshmallow toffee rice crispy cakes with the children in the pm and ate 2 of them
pizza
garlic bread dipped in olive oil
2 glasses wine

crap innit? Oh well, I am on holiday this week, tis hard.
