WWW's All New Ten Year Younger Plan WEEK THREE (sorry, weeks 1 and 2 were together)

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:28

Sorry for being lax. OK, we're on week 3 now, the rules are:

Sunscreen
lots of water
eat well, lots of fruit and veg
some exercise
be happy
sleep enough
cut back/off on alcohol

I was a bit rubbish yesterday:
toast x 2, Marmite
a packet of Minstrels
a packet of Quavers
fishfingers and peas
chicken and roast veg
3 bean salad
2 glasses of wine
no exercise except going to park, doesn't count
no sunscreen
Oh well, today is another day!

Welcome all. Anyone can join and you don't have to do all the rules if they don't suit you, the idea is to feel happier and better about yourself, this isn't a diet. Hence it's in style, not weight loss.

I think we have a few die-hards who are trying hard in the face of adversity and a new role model in sobernow

Moony - spent 30 minutes on my new rebounder tonight (after prising DD off it). War count: 3 pelvic floors, 1 twisted ankle and and a deeply irritating snorting with mirth 'you won't be doing this tomorrow' DP

Healthwise I had the most revolting carrot, apple, celery, ginger and beetroot juice for breakfast.

It was truly revolting. Actually worse than the wheatgrass

I Clarins-potioned my backside, exfoliated the rest and put holiday-tan on my legs.

Had salad for lunch and vege soup for dinner. Am close to booking my flights to the UK and am trying VERY hard.

Arfishy - oh yes, previous pelvic strengthening exercises essential, methinks (although it is supposed to improve yor co-ordination). Also a v good bra.

As predicted I overdosed on pizza and alcohol last night and even my 'fat' jeans are tight now . I've also had too much coffee (oh no and have just remembered my huge breakfast)

iota · 19/08/2006 14:42

Arfishy, thankyou kindly for the badge, but I do feel it is undeserved.

I have been severly lacking on the exercise and goping to be early fronts, and a couple of times I haven't bothered to take my make-up off at night (always when the postman arrives nice and early with a parcel and I have to get it, standing there in my dressing gown, hair awry and mascara halfway down my cheeks)

Hi everyone, I've been on holiday and used sunscreen, got some exercise, eaten lots of fruit and veg, taken my makeup off, drank lots of water and actually had some relaxation and felt happy However, drank too much alcohol and ate lots of lovely freshly baked bread, saffron buns, pasties & icecream! MMmmm
I have gained 1lb.
However, now I am back and will throw myself back into it. Holiday snaps prove what I knew already: it will take much mre than six weeks to make me look ten years younger

Callmemadam · 20/08/2006 22:18

I am wearing the badge of shame pinned to my head . I was doing so so well, but in the last 3 days I have craved and eaten hummus, bacon butties, biscuits, carrot cake, far far more wine than is good for me AND been out for a big Sunday lunch where I couldn't turn down the pudding without appearing rude! I have had b**r all sleep, and my water intake has just been enough to keep the hangover away, and I feel truly miserable and awful tonight. It seems like such a mountain to start all over again tomorrow - good encouragement sadly needed.............

Think WWW is actually UNDER the table?

iota · 20/08/2006 22:21

Does Apple crumble and custard count as a sin? I made it for ds1, but felt compelled to have some

moonshine · 21/08/2006 10:34

Callmemadam - don't beat yourself up so much, although I know how you feel, I have been there many a time. Just think of it as a blip, even if you feel it was a big one, and move on. I've been ultra crap myself the past few weeks, but am trying to just grit my teeth and carry on. Let's face it, there are a lot of, ahem, strugglers on this thread.

Sobernow - I salute you for taking on Moondog's mantle .

And Winnie well done for only gaining 1lb - I think that is brilliant considering you were holiday.

Have had porridge this morning to try and rid myself of a bad toast habit. And I shall eat an apple when I can tear myself away from the computer and get showered and dressed. Oh and stop neglecting the kids, I suppose....

arfishymeau · 21/08/2006 11:14

PMSL Sobernow.

Callmemadam - don't worry about the last few days. Think of it as a technique to keep your metabolism nice and fast

More veg juice for me over the weekend, no wine or meat, exposure of legs to real sun and lots of sunscreen. Veg and salad all day with wholemeal rolls. Am so packed full of nutrients I'm surprised Franny hasn't snared me and served me up on a bed of tofu .

Those jeans will be MINE (am of course only thinking of the health benefits of this plan).

winnie · 21/08/2006 12:10

Yesterday I had a fab day in every department
Ate:
banana & low fat yogurt
goats cheese & lots salad on seeded wholemeal
2x peaches
apple
bean 'burger', new potatoes, piles of green beans
peach

exercised (yoga); drank water & rosehip tea by the litre; had me time ; took of makeup

I am feeling very motivated today... Fingers crossed it will last

moonshine · 21/08/2006 12:48

Arfishy - you too are a contender for the Moondog crown. And thought of you and your rebounding when I read this on Saturday trampolines

iota · 21/08/2006 20:02

grim day today

compulsive eating

CaligulaCorday · 21/08/2006 23:50

Are we on week 4 yet?

WideWebWitch · 21/08/2006 23:53
