WWW's All New Ten Year Younger Plan WEEK THREE (sorry, weeks 1 and 2 were together)

WideWebWitch · 08/08/2006 08:28

Sorry for being lax. OK, we're on week 3 now, the rules are:

Sunscreen
lots of water
eat well, lots of fruit and veg
some exercise
be happy
sleep enough
cut back/off on alcohol

I was a bit rubbish yesterday:
toast x 2, Marmite
a packet of Minstrels
a packet of Quavers
fishfingers and peas
chicken and roast veg
3 bean salad
2 glasses of wine
no exercise except going to park, doesn't count
no sunscreen
Oh well, today is another day!

Welcome all. Anyone can join and you don't have to do all the rules if they don't suit you, the idea is to feel happier and better about yourself, this isn't a diet. Hence it's in style, not weight loss.

www, the marshmallow toffee things sound divine though . I am trying hard this week cause next week I go on holiday to my mum and dad's house where I will eat like a pig and do bog all exercise. Can't wait

moonshine · 13/08/2006 20:24

Do I detect a certain amount of guilty tiptoeing around this thread at weekends? I have failed on wine and food and so, to assuage some guilt, bought a whitening toothpaste and new brush cos have noticed my teeth are not so white these days and that tis very ageing. And, after all, tomorrow is another day .

Beetle73 · 13/08/2006 22:19

Complete disaster. All gone tits up since Wednesday, with DD off nursery ill, so routine up the spout. Today have had, besides roast pork, Kelloggs Variety Packs of Frosties, Coco Pops (x2), Honey Nut Loops and those Rice Krispies shapes.
No exercise.
Holiday 13 days away.
Back on the wagon tomorrow.

oxocube · 14/08/2006 06:23

Didn't post becasuse I was so completely crap. Have eaten chips, Chinese take-away, done no exercise other than walking dog, drunk far too much wine (and suffered for it) and hardly any water. I had no excuse. On Saturday, I was even at the pool and had the perfect opportunity to do some lengths but no, I spent the 3 hours gossiping with a girlfriend, flicking through mags and eating chips . Am going to try really hard this week. Have just had breakfast of toast and marmite and that is IT until lunch, bar a piece of fruit.

tortoiseshell · 14/08/2006 09:43

Have been away this last week, but haven't been TOO bad - eaten pretty healthily each evening, but have had wine each day (surely wine on holiday doesn't count!). Also did loads of walking - probably averaged 3 miles a day, carrying 1 or more children! Sadly no need for sunscreen , but drank some water and fruit juice - but probably too much tea when out!

CaligulaCorday · 14/08/2006 09:54

The weekend is a blur of wine, all day breakfasts, coffee, chocolate, late nights, no water, no make up removal.

Absolute rubbish. Today I will reform.

arfishymeau · 14/08/2006 12:00

OK. Today is the start of a new improved effort, complete with my super-duper new scales.

I weighed myself for the first time since arriving in Oz a year ago and had to face the truth.

Freshly shocked into action I had my signature wheatgrass shot for breakfast and a carrot, ginger and watermelon juice.

For lunch I had a wellbeing ham on brown with fruit salad and lots of water.

For dinner I've just had 2 mini corn cobettes with a wholemeal roll, lettuce, boiled egg & tomato with light salad cream. Couple of glasses of water and a WW pudding.

Did lots of walking while carrying my ridiculously heavy laptop.

No problem going to bed before 11pm. Am already catatonically bored and sulking due to lack of wine & chocolate.

arfishymeau · 15/08/2006 12:57

Am I the only one here?

I've probably bored everybody to death with my day of virtue yesterday. I'm practically comatose myself after managing two days.

Have stuck to the plan, so but doesn't look smug yet.

Am off to bed at 9.50 to sulk some more. And not drink wine/eat chocolate/be happy.

iota · 15/08/2006 17:31

I'm back from week's holiday. Can't bear to write down all the infractions, but they mainly involved wine and junk food - also have a tan.

but I did get lots of sleep must be that sea air - and slogging up and down cliffs carrying beach essentials and BBQs seems to have done wonders in the exercise dept.

Weighed myself today, have definitely lost a few punds since we started

now to keep up the good work

Caribbeanqueen · 15/08/2006 22:21

Just back from few days away.

Ate loads of yummy crap, drank too much, but did some exercise and realised how disgustingly unfit I am and have resolved to do something about it.

arfishymeau · 17/08/2006 04:49

Ah. A few of us left.

I've been utterly worthy since Monday. Not a single aberration, not even a glass of wine.

Loads of water, salads and wholemeal rolls. No meat or processed food.

I'm going to buy a rebounder at the weekend to push start my aerobic exercise, and DD will love it. Whether I actually get on it remains to be seen, but I've decided to reward myself with a v.expensive pair of jeans if I get back to my UK weight. So I'm feeling incentivised or whatever the word is.

iota · 17/08/2006 15:32

I sooooooo wanted a glass of wine last night, but didn't.

iota · 17/08/2006 15:34

and where's WWW?

I bet she's up to no good or she'd be posting

moonshine · 17/08/2006 15:47

I am here, veering from angelic to one day to more than undoing my goodness the next. Atm the kids are driving my to a big glass of wine (and more) by 7pm.

Arfishymeau - I love my rebounder but sadly only get the opportunity to go on it when the kids are in bed, by which time I am usually too tired (and starting to get mellow from the wine) to do it often enough.

Note to self - must try harder.

As for WWW - come on, fess up on the wine and Quavers sinning!

iota · 17/08/2006 22:26

WWW- heellllllllllloooooooooooooooo

where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?

arfishymeau · 17/08/2006 22:56

Hi Moony & Iota. Glad to see some of us are still trying .

I "work from home" two days a week while DD is in nursery. I plan to use that time constructively to er, not work, and rebound while watching progammes on sextuplets or something.

I have continued to be worthy and have lost 2kg (4.4lb). Those jeans are in my reach

Tonight I'm going to do my l'oreal micro-dermabrasion for my complexion and today I WILL drink gallons of water. I'm also tempted to nip to the beach today to try and get a little colour on my pasty legs (are just coming out of winter here)

iota · 17/08/2006 22:58

good for you Arfishy.

I went for a bike ride with my 2 boys today, no need for suncream though.

Callmemadam · 17/08/2006 23:58

I'm here, honestly, just struggling with kids, school holidays and a smidge of the old depression which means I want to eat biscuits not salad! No wine today, though

Blackduck · 18/08/2006 11:35

My week has been hit and miss - ds at parents and been decorating his room, so haven't eaten much, but have drunk....
went out to lunch yesterday and drinks (in a wine bar!) in the evening as was sans child...woke up today vowing to give up the demon drink........

moonshine · 18/08/2006 11:40

Sympathies Callmemadam - when do yours go back to school? But well done Iota and Arfishy for getting physical. Tonight my SIL is coming and her + my dh + weekend = excess in all departments, so I am bracing myself because I am a weak vessel at the moment.

Whoever bloody well stole my willpower, give it back now .

Am off to drink some water at least to try and salvage something of the declining day already.

Has WWW drowned in a vat of champagne or something??

CaligulaCorday · 18/08/2006 11:42

Loads of lard and wine, mainly due to influx of mad relatives.

This week will be better.

iota · 18/08/2006 12:06

well it's Friday today, my dh is away and has been since Monday, so tonight I will be rewarding myself with wine.

Why is it that all my friends (bar one) seem to be away on holiday this week? I have 2 boys to entertain solo
