Dh is not rocking the grey look. Hair dye needed - what are good products for men?

Personal grooming is not is thing so its down to me to sort. Where do I start? What's good? I don't dye my own hair (not grey yet) so am a bit of a novice

Does he want to dye his hair?

Oh please don't. Let him grow into his grey hair. I knew someone who once did this and they looked ridiculous. Men can suit grey hair and I'm sure your DH is no different, it's probably at that in between stage and wil look better in time.

My DP always says that he has missed the Just For Men window of opportunity - by the time he realised he was grey enough to need it, he was too grey to get away with it without looking like a vain tool. Which is a rampantly sexist observation, but true.

Oh no - dyed hair on men is an abomination. Is he worried about going grey? Perhaps a better haircut would help?

My DP is going grey at the temples. I love it. I think it's really sexy (is that weird). Don't dye it!

Yet another who thinks it would be a real mistake to get him to dye. Much better to leave it grey. I know this might be double standards but have yet to see a successful dye job on a man.

Does he want to change it? Does he tell you how to wear your hair?

It was suggested on another thread about dyeing grey hair that the reason men often seem to age better than women is because they don't dye their hair. I think there is some truth to this. Greying hair suits our changing skin tones.

Rather than getting men to start dyeing their hair, women should be ditching their own hair dye IMO.

I love the silver fox look - never used to rate Martin Kemp but he now looks hot.

Think George Clooney, Paul Hollywood and Matt le Blanc...

Ooh yes, much prefer Martin Kemp as a silver fox. So unfair when I need to do my grey roots every few weeks, but I must admit that I like a man with a bit of grey.

DP has been plucking the odd one out but since he met me in the last couple of years he's got quite a few more and although he's not happy about it I find it really sexy.

Please don't make your DP dye his hair and fgs I plead with all women to leave their man's eyebrows alone too! Nothing worse than a man with obviously plucked brows. Yuck.

Ok, I'll go against the grain here. My dh was going a very harsh and ageing salt and pepper colour.

His hairdresser tinted his temples with this. Obviously the stylist knew the right shade - very subtle and some grey still shows through but it is much less harsh and ageing. He now buys it from eBay and I do it for him. Nobody has ever noticed but he feels much better in himself and he does look younger.

He got the wrong shade once and went too dark which was a disaster however .

But trim the brows. And the ears
