I'm no fashionista, but they ming to high heaven. Clumpy and rubber, need i say more ?

Alipiggie · 06/08/2006 17:14

Aaah haa here we go again, Expat where are you. Love em, sorry ladies, not clumpy, and most certainly not made of rubber it's a special composite material. Never said they were stylish just very practical and comfy. But hey when in Colorado does as the Coloradans do . Go on you now you really what to buck the trend and try a pair

LIZS · 06/08/2006 17:17

I know, they were all over Bluewater as were Floam and those expensive trainers with castors on the heel! Just don't get it.

Gobbledigook · 06/08/2006 17:18

They look OK for gardening and washing the car (but I do neither of those myself )

suejonez · 06/08/2006 17:18

Never mind style (I have none and don;t aspir to any) are they really comfy - am very tempted if they are as I have achilles heel problems and need comfy shoes.

Also how accurate is their sizing?

puff · 06/08/2006 17:20

I just know my feet would stink in them after 20 mins so its a no no for me

NomDePlume · 06/08/2006 17:21

There is a precocious little sod (about 10 or 11) who has those shoes and spends his time skating at high speed through the aisles at tesco, knocking into little kids and people's trolleys etc. His parents just leave him to it or look on with that horrible smug 'isn't he a hoot' look plastered to their faces. Grrrrrrrrrr

gigglinggoblin · 06/08/2006 17:21

i have some and i love them! they are so comfortable and thats all i really care about most days! prob wouldnt wear them to go clubbing although i dont think they look that bad. mine are red

NomDePlume · 06/08/2006 17:22

(my post was referring to those trainers with wheels)

Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:23

Wtf are trainers with wheels? Have not seen those.

Honestly though these crocs are hideous and I would not be seen dead washing the car in a pair.

expatinscotland · 06/08/2006 17:26

Well, I wore mine out and about yesterday and I had no less than THREE ladies asking me where I'd gotten them b/c they wanted some, too.

Soooo boo you!

I had tendonitis in my Achilles, sue, and they're SO nice and comfy and elevate the heel just enough to keep the pressure off.

Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:26

God, on the testimonial page someone kitted out a whole wedding party with them. Men in black bridesmaids in red.

OP posts:
LIZS · 06/08/2006 17:27

Northerner , this sort of thing

Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:27

But what do you wear with them?

Expatkat I had you down as a style queen too.

OP posts:
Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:28

Expatkat? where did that come from? Expatinscotland I mean.

OP posts:
Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:28

Lol at trainers with heels. Are they not dangeropus?

OP posts:
suejonez · 06/08/2006 17:28

how did they treat it Expat am getting a bit frustrated with mine?

What is the sizing like - should you really get them loose like they suggest?

Northerner · 06/08/2006 17:29

wheels i mean. What is wrong with my typing?

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 06/08/2006 17:34

i wore mine w/stonewash jeans and a 'baby tee', fitted top. looked fab w/my fake tan - thanks, Blossomhill, you were SO right about the L'Oreal tanning gel.

they're trendy and people were asking.

i just got my usual size, sue, and they fit just fine. i have a pair for the house that i wear w/cotton socks b/c i like to put moisuriser on my feet and let it soak in so my skin never gets all dry.

it was great b/c it rained briefly, but heavily, and my feet were fine.

expatinscotland · 06/08/2006 17:35

russel & bromley has them in the childrens' section, but in adult sizes.

millett's also carries them.

if you can try them on, do! you may prefer a tighter fit.

suejonez · 06/08/2006 17:40

OOh i may rush down to Millets next weekend (never thought I ever say that

Alipiggie · 06/08/2006 17:51

Yeah another convert. Knew you'd convince them Expat . Don't forget to buy the Jibbitz too.

expatinscotland · 06/08/2006 17:53

dd1 has some w/jibbitz, ali. she also has a lovely ribbon in hers as well.

hers are red, and she looks so lovely in them.

Alipiggie · 06/08/2006 17:54

My ds's have sunflowers and rainbow fish. So cool. I'm going to get some too for my navy blue ones. The Crocs flipflops are super cool too. Do you get those over the UK as well. Going to buy some of those for the winter for indoors

expatinscotland · 06/08/2006 17:59

i haven't seen the flip flops in the UK, ali, but you can bet the Boulderites will be doing the fleece socks + Croc's combo when the weather turns.
