Weren't some folk on here saying how lovely and stylish they were?

Had day out by river yesterday and another mum had a pair but only for going in river with, she said would not be seen dead out and about in them.

oh ok

its normal then?

I lurve them already and have only had them on 5 mins

I am currently wearing them with soft woolly grey marl socks for extra old fogeyish-ness

bliss

Enid · 13/09/2006 11:51

i bought them expressly for walk to school

they will be superb (except if it is raining as they have holes in them)

longwaytogo · 13/09/2006 12:20

mmm thats my worry that in winter wet feet are going to be the norm. Have ordered some via a friend in America without the holes in the top, apparantly so she tells me you can get them without holes in top and side - now there's a thought.

Enid · 13/09/2006 12:21

yes you can

but not in silver

silver essential IMO

bundle · 13/09/2006 12:22

I got dd1 some, but they're Skechers ones from John Lewis and cost £15, a bit less than the crocos**t ones. they're very very light.

LieselVonTrapp · 13/09/2006 13:20

You get cracking ones in Lomond Shores for a fiver and Lomon Shores is normally dead expensive. I personally didnt.

coderoo · 13/09/2006 13:20

enid
t hey are fugly

Fimbo · 13/09/2006 13:30

Cod You Really Really Want These - Admit It!

Jimjams2 · 13/09/2006 13:32

You can get them without holes in the top from fimbo's link as well.

We all have a pair in our house, even dh. I persuaded ds2 not to get a pink pair by letting him have a red pair.

Fimbo · 13/09/2006 13:33

Oh Gawd You Can Send A Pic In Wearing The Fugly Things!

JackieNo · 13/09/2006 13:46

Oh no Fimbo - I liked crocs until I saw that pic. YOu may have spoiled them for me

coderoo · 13/09/2006 13:46

Fimbo · 13/09/2006 13:52

Enid · 13/09/2006 16:16

longwaytogo · 13/09/2006 19:17

JackieNo · 13/09/2006 20:17

Colleague of mine bought the multipla and his family called it the Fiat Alien - they love it.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 13/09/2006 21:12

i saw a two ladies and her kids wearing these on a boat trip we went on the other week.she was telling everyone how comfy there were and that she sold them

I just thought they looked like something disabled kids wore in the 70's

MamaG · 13/09/2006 21:20

hmmm...fugly...I thought I'd made that word up.

In my vocab it means Fuck Ugly - does it in yours?!

curlew · 14/09/2006 07:22

I have crocs and a Mazda Bongo and a Humber Keel. I am the queen of fugly!

eidsvold · 14/09/2006 07:57

i am getting a pair for my birthday - thing they will be very very comfy summer shoes.

Enid · 14/09/2006 10:58

yes fucking ugly

my NZ friends use it all the time

ghosty · 14/09/2006 11:02

Surely they make your feet stink?

They have been around in NZ for a couple of years now - I don't like them - FUGLY - top kiwi word

marz · 14/09/2006 11:06

My 2 dd's have them and I have 3 pairs....and they do not make feet smell.Oh...and DH has a black flip flip pair...could not convince him to do pink like me!! They are dishwasher safe, although we do not have dishwasher...
but are completely washable and your feet breathe anyway with them on. I have a pair of non-holey ones and even with them they do not smell, or even sweat. I am completely converted...and, I hasten to add....we all look and feel great in them!!!

quokka · 14/09/2006 12:03

I remember when fugly was the cool new word to use in high school (australia) .

shhhh · 15/09/2006 15:43

I have a few pairs and I find them fab. They are so comfy and being 20 weeks pregnant aftre a days shopping they are a dream..! I have also had loads of nice comments on them. I have a pink & white/grey pair.

BTW theres an american site that does them for around £20. Bargain.!!

The size is not very accurate though..btw if anyone is interested I bought my mum 2 pairs but they are to small (size 6 but more of a 5) in a baby blue...lovely colour..can't remember other colour...anyone..? £20 plus p&p. Go on..you know you want to....
