Linus, those are real Saturday Night Fever jeans! I would look ridiculous in them needless to say. Like the blue top the model is wearing though in the smaller picture. Would look good with white skinnies.

shop when DH and I met more than 11 years ago I told him I hated Valentine's day and he agreed so we have never celebrated it.

Shop, some years we celebrate valentines day and buy gifts others not. We have been together nearly 30yrs so it doesn't mean that much really. I do get very miffed if we don't celebrate our wedding anniversary though.

However, last year, I got dh some retro sweets packaged in red heart box. I got nothing! As dh is passing through duty free tomorrow evening, am hoping I'll get something rather nice.

Shop, dh normally makes a huge fuss of me on V-day (for reason I told you the other day) and I haven't really bothered since the dcs. However as I did a 3am to 5am stint with ds last night I did a moonpig card for him and this year I have got him a present. I am a bit chuffed. It is super geeky and techy. Right up his street!

I agree with mig regarding admiring Hadley Freeman's fashion journalism. Another writer I enjoy reading for similar reasons is Vanessa Friedman, fashion editor of the FT. She somehow manages to put a fashion spin on topics such as how politicians and business leaders dress without ever coming across as trivial.

Have just been reading the 'vulgar bling' thread with great interest. I don't agree that a large stone is automatically vulgar/ostentatious. My style in general is very classic and pared back, I do have a huge e ring but a single stone with very simple setting which to me is pared back elegance and not bling at all. Love novice's boodles sapphire too, their team is so creative, have my eye on a deep-blue tanzanite - a massive rock too! For me wearing large pieces of jewellery appeals in the same way as I like to wear a mans watch, not to show off but because the scale better suits my frame and style than more delicate 'ladies' versions.

Can I also ask about access to your mnv pin or is it private? Completely understand if so.
