Three cheers for Mr Crem! Grin

CointreauVersial · 10/02/2014 22:00

Brilliant news, Crem, what a weight off your mind.

QueenQueenie · 10/02/2014 22:02

Yes, Fantastic News Crem!

bigTillyMint · 11/02/2014 07:00

Cremo, hope you both have hangovers this morningWink

Rudy, glad you had a good weekend.

Went to see A Taste of Honey - first bit of culcha this year! It's like walking into another world in the National - there is definitely a certain demographic there!

herbaceous · 11/02/2014 10:05

I'm ashamed to admit I can't remember the full story of Cremo's DH and his work trials. It's my age, you know.

motherinferior · 11/02/2014 11:01

I would like it on record I Ladyjogged again today after doing so yesterday as well.

Blackduck · 11/02/2014 11:17

MI :)

Snow, hail, rain here..... It's a bit grim

CointreauVersial · 11/02/2014 12:36

Me too, MI. I was very fortunate to complete my ladyjog in a brief rain-free window at sparrow-fart this morning.

herbaceous · 11/02/2014 12:40

Oh God. I'm going to have to ladyjog this afternoon, as tomorrow it's wall-to-wall torrential downpour. Again.

bigTillyMint · 11/02/2014 13:07

The gym is much drier Wink

motherinferior · 11/02/2014 13:46

I love the way DD1's expression Ladyjog has caught on Grin

Talking of DD1, what's wrong with the word gig? She went to a Taylor Swift gig with her friends last night (they had spare ticket, I coughed up as part of her birthday present). She appears to be mortified when I use the word gig. Why? Why??

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/02/2014 20:02

Did you ask her if the gig was well peng, MI? Grin

I have a cold and temperature still, and am fed up with not feeling well.

Guy's Hospital have sent me a reminder for a hospital appointment I didn't know I had. It bossily says that all of the information is in the original letter. Bit nervous - it's to assess my risk of malignant melanoma, which is wiping out my family.

motherinferior · 11/02/2014 20:04

When is it?

motherinferior · 11/02/2014 20:05

And just ring them and say house move, blame cat, say you've had one of your funny turns, or suchlike.

MrsSchadenfreude · 11/02/2014 20:27

Next week. What - in a "the cat ate my homework" sort of way? Grin

DH has a habit of putting unopened mail away - will have to have a look and see if he has hidden this too (have just found last month's GH and a letter from the Inland Revenue giving me my tax code.

Am also having very odd period - flooding, lots of watery blood and no clots (TMI, sorry). No period pain either. Think it is a week or so late as well.

bigTillyMint · 11/02/2014 20:46

Yes, MrsS (been there, done thatBlush) and get it sorted!

Blackduck · 12/02/2014 08:52

Dp does this - I end up opening piles of unopened mail (usually his) and threatening him with death.......

MrsS - phone as MI says and use all the excuses under the sun, although it could be there was no original letter - my GP (old one) sent me a letter re a blood test, I phoned and asked what it was about and was told it was the follow up from the previous bloody test where I had been prescribed statins. I pointed out I had not heard back from the previous blood test (which was actually checking for gout - yes seriously) and had not had an appointment or a prescription. She actually stated I had - I think I would remember! I declined to take the statins.....

herbaceous · 12/02/2014 09:11

I did my ladyjog in the evening. In the cold. Rather than staying in and cracking open the wine. And, what's more, the last two bursts of 'running' were surprisingly easy. Though that may have been due to the slight downward incline.

Laura told me to help my body recover by having some water, and maybe a piece of fruit. So I had half a bottle of red, and a Thai takeaway.

motherinferior · 12/02/2014 09:20

Laura is an actress, and not a very good one, IMO. And I bet she lives on fags and takeaways.

I am writing a short story that sort of Goes With my book. Is quite upsetting but productive.

herbaceous · 12/02/2014 09:47

Based upon my pithy Facebook posts, and occasional real-life bon mots, various people have told me I should write a book. Or blog. But I can seem to quite gather the confidence. Or work out what to write about. And in what form. So I continue to do nothing, and wonder why I have yet to be 'discovered'.

Blackduck · 12/02/2014 09:58

Am loving the substitution of wine and thai takeaway for water and fruit......

Here it was choir, in a bl**dy freezing church......... and singing Monday Monday which I HATE almost as much as California Dreamin'

lalsy · 12/02/2014 10:00

I find to write something you don't have to - a blog or whatever, something for fun or interest or practice - it is easiest to go somewhere else and stare at a blank page and make yourself write something down. There are always socks to be sorted at home.

herbaceous · 12/02/2014 10:02

Trouble is, I find the harder I try at being amusing, the less amusing I am. It kind of has to come to me from an angle - if I look at it full on, it disappears. Anyone know what I mean?

Stropperella · 12/02/2014 10:07

Ah BD, it was being forced to sing California Dreamin' that caused me to give up going to the first choir I joined. Well, that and "the rose".

I used to write a lot. But about 15 years ago, I decided it was best that I didn't and I had an enormous bonfire and have never written anything "creative" since. I am just stuck twizzling around with other people's ideas these days.

Stropperella · 12/02/2014 10:08

(rogue comma after "ago". Sorry)
