Blair I think the pulled pork needs roasting in an oven. There is a fire pit thingy inside the summer house with a proper chimney obv so you can BBQ on it ( also came with lots of pots but I have yet to do a casserole on it) a local but butcher does a fantastic butterflied shoulder of lamb which, 15 mins each side, is divine.....I'll be doing that with some other bits.

Ok now drooling again but over your food not shoes! Grin

RubyLovesShopping · 31/01/2014 22:15

I should not be left alone on a fri eve have done one last shopping order for Jan before next month starts- ordered 6 different navy tops as I 'need' one for a lunch next week. Links on way, only one can be kept.

RubyLovesShopping · 31/01/2014 22:16

this silk shirt

RubyLovesShopping · 31/01/2014 22:23

And it won't link to the rest as they're all sale items but they were phase eight tallie top in navy, Armani navy jersey top and an odd brand hallhuber silk top with jersey sleeves.
A variety of sizes ordered. I'm like a dieter who has one last binge before starting a big diet GrinGrin

Decameron · 31/01/2014 22:28

Carrie, I had an Anna bag which was very good quality.

I like that shirt Ruby, I tried it on a few months ago, should have bought it!

Sleepwhenidie · 31/01/2014 22:48

Santa aren't those the Marant f* me sandals on Julianne Moore's feet , on Graham Norton? Envy

Blair, yes ours are Everyman ones too, great aren't they!

Sleepwhenidie · 31/01/2014 22:50

No, they aren't actually, v nice Louboutins tho!

Drywhiteplease · 31/01/2014 22:51

this is my latest favourite nail colour. Blue/grey/denimy colour. Very impressed with the shine.love the fat (like Dior) brush which means you can do a nail in 2 swipes. Really rate No7 stuff at the moment.

Blair food and fashion are my specialist subjects Smile.....wish I knew a bit more about current affairs, European monetary system, world peace etc.......

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 31/01/2014 23:00

Yes but those subjects aren't as interesting Dry and you can't eat them...! Wink

That nail colour is v cool, I can never resist getting a No7 varnish for £2 when I have one of those Boots vouchers.

Sleep yes they are fab! Wine holder next to the sofa, I love it. If only you could take your own. I have seen the wolf of wall st (not in the cinema Blush) and it's really good but also really really really long.

Ruby that is dedication to the perfect navy top cause! Silk shirt is lovely and bargainous.

OneLittleLady · 31/01/2014 23:27

Major panic tonight, turning the flat upside down etc looking for my folder with my certificates in it to add my qualifications on to my UCAS form. Finally found it on my bookcase where all my music books are, the one and only place that hadn't been looked in before! Just a reference to go and then my application will be ready to send off! Got butterflies thinking about waiting for the verdict to come in and whether I get a place or not Confused

Annianni · 01/02/2014 00:26

I love that varnish Dry, and Ruby's silk shirt.

Good luck with the application One.

My smaller J Brands are still at Heathrow
Which means they won't be here till Tuesday
So I now need to try my Hudson Mays and Gias with the fabulous new shoes and re-think my outfit so stressful

MarshaBrady · 01/02/2014 08:22

I haven't been to the cinema for years. Think I need a nice one. Sounds fab.

Great shirt Ruby.

BrandyAlexander · 01/02/2014 08:36

Morning all! Sunny start to the day isn't it? I slept in the house by myself with the dcs for the first time last night. I know many of you do it a lot but it always makes me so nervous. .

About to start Saturday morning mad rush. Think I will wear Hackwick cashmere jumper, gap skinnies and black uggs. My cleaner rediscovered a Links bracelet that dmil bought me for my birthday that I had lost forgotten all about so will wear that and accessorise around it. Till I started posting on here I hadn't realised how much dmil gets me and the fact that I forget about it all. I would be so BlushBlushBlush if she found out as she is so lovely.

Fedupnagging · 01/02/2014 08:36

Today I wil be wearing lots of layers-no central heating until possibly Monday- and I won't care how I lookGrin.

This is rather lovely. Also like this but for that price, I would like real leather.

Well done Dry on your no spend January. Your dinner tonight is a great idea.

Shop sorry swimming is such a chore. I think others are right, your DS maybe needs a break and just go swimming for pleasure-can you go with friends and their dc's - safety in numbers and all that?

BrandyAlexander · 01/02/2014 08:37

Oh no Fed up, poor you! Wishing you warmth!!!Shock

RubyLovesShopping · 01/02/2014 08:39

Was inspired by Linus' navy equipment shirt. Was looking for a silk jersey ruched top and bitterly regretting returning the me+em cowl neck navy top which I returned because it was too big and now all sold out.
Day 1 of no spend February, I bet I suddenly see loads of things I think i must have.

RubyLovesShopping · 01/02/2014 08:41

Novice I hate it too, is better since we had the dog. Lovely day here too, snow up on the hills but none here, not enough to take the dc sledging yet though.
Fed up nothing worse than being cold, can you go to someone else's house for the weekend??

shopafrolic · 01/02/2014 09:37

Morning all - toddler parties a go go this weekend. One of DS' friend's parties today and then his 2nd party tomorrow.
DH has gone shooting! Hmm

shopafrolic · 01/02/2014 09:53

Anni!!! All that planning - rubbish! :(

Mignonette · 01/02/2014 09:54

Good Morning everybody - Rough nights sleep because during the gales last night our bedroom ceiling sprang a leak and I did have the old dripping water torture. No matter where we placed the container (with tea towel inside to stop the clang), the water tracked elsewhere and it was 'drip drip drip' all night long. It seems to be tracking along a beam. We need to get on the roof as a slate must have left the building.

My son (and last child) is moving out in March Smile Sad.

He is moving into the house I used to own w/ my ex (who still owns it) with is girlfriend and another couple.

So I will wait a few months to see how he settles then it is time to make some major decisions about where we will live for the next part of our lives. My detested ex-stepmother has recently decided (inexplicably) to move to my town with her next husband and this town ain't big enough for the both of us. I live in dread of the day that I bump into her on the street after what she has done and cannot go on like this.

So where to move? Confused

My daughter has a patisserie stage in NYC then Switzerland this Summer during the break in her course and she plans to move away afterwards. She is coveting the Pastry Chef jobs currently available at Scotts in Mayfair although not experienced enough yet but had she been employed there and seen her beloved Nigella attacked she'd have lamped Saatchi with a cream puff Smile.

I have made a fashion decision. The all white/cream look is not for me. I tried on a winter white skirt and sweater combination then a dress and I looked like and orderly in a 50's style American asylum. I always used to do the black tights with white skirt thing when younger and it looked edgy. Now I just look odd. I am going pastel and acid yellow this Spring with a dash of baby blue and smoke blue I think. Wearing tonal shades of the same colour appeals to me.

What colour combinations are you all looking to experiment with?

And lastly - just how beautiful is the BBC Breakfast female presenter today? I'm sorry I don't know her name but she is so pretty.

Drywhiteplease · 01/02/2014 10:09

Would that be the Nurse Ratchett look Mig ?Wink
Shop wishing you luck and wine for this weekend.
Fedup do you have hot water? No heating is bad. Poor you.
Anni is it date night tonight? No jeans? You MUST have another pair you could work (how many do you have ) hope you have a lovely evening....work those shoes girl!!Grin
Novice I'm a scary cat too when DH is away....but now that DS is 6ft (size 13 feet.......wrong baby at the hospital I'm convinced) I feel a bit safer Smile

Ok....the sun is shining ignores impending rain/snow forecast it's BBQ weather!Grin
DH is using his turbo trainer.....gets up early and goes in the garage and watches shows n his iPad . I was making coffee when he walked into the kitchen wearing his slippers, socks, a disgusting t shirt and his swimming trunks Shock . He said he didn't want to wake me Hmm.... Style guru he isn't , my GOD, thank goodness no neighbours were up! That is why he has a tailor for work and why he will NEVER come to the gym with me Grin

Have a good day all Smile

Mignonette · 01/02/2014 10:29

Yes very Ratchett Dry.

Am laughing at the look your DH is working. A snorkel would've finished it off nicely.

Mine is snoring in bed after coming home pissed as a newt. I actually shouted at him when he loomed over me beery breathed rambling some drunken protestation of love. That was after he'd knocked a photo frame off a wall, thrown my copy of Vogue off the bed (Heresy) and slammed the loo lid so hard it sounded like somebody had been shot.

I watched 'Wanderlust' with a friend last night. Such a funny funny film with Paul Rudd, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston. Perfectly pitched comic performances with a lot on full frontal commune style nudity. Have never seen so many penises in a comedy film!

Annianni · 01/02/2014 11:12

Welcome to my world Fedup... I've had no heating all winter :o

This is why I live in woolly socks and cashmere.
Without my old lady style gas fire and the electric blankets (every bed has one) I would have moved out lost the will to live!

Date night is Monday Dry.
I have 2 paired of jeans to choose from at the moment, the other... erm... 14 or so pairs are too small at the moment Blush

Good luck this weekend Shop.

Annianni · 01/02/2014 11:13
