Good Morning everybody - Rough nights sleep because during the gales last night our bedroom ceiling sprang a leak and I did have the old dripping water torture. No matter where we placed the container (with tea towel inside to stop the clang), the water tracked elsewhere and it was 'drip drip drip' all night long. It seems to be tracking along a beam. We need to get on the roof as a slate must have left the building.
My son (and last child) is moving out in March
.
He is moving into the house I used to own w/ my ex (who still owns it) with is girlfriend and another couple.
So I will wait a few months to see how he settles then it is time to make some major decisions about where we will live for the next part of our lives. My detested ex-stepmother has recently decided (inexplicably) to move to my town with her next husband and this town ain't big enough for the both of us. I live in dread of the day that I bump into her on the street after what she has done and cannot go on like this.
So where to move?
My daughter has a patisserie stage in NYC then Switzerland this Summer during the break in her course and she plans to move away afterwards. She is coveting the Pastry Chef jobs currently available at Scotts in Mayfair although not experienced enough yet but had she been employed there and seen her beloved Nigella attacked she'd have lamped Saatchi with a cream puff
.
I have made a fashion decision. The all white/cream look is not for me. I tried on a winter white skirt and sweater combination then a dress and I looked like and orderly in a 50's style American asylum. I always used to do the black tights with white skirt thing when younger and it looked edgy. Now I just look odd. I am going pastel and acid yellow this Spring with a dash of baby blue and smoke blue I think. Wearing tonal shades of the same colour appeals to me.
What colour combinations are you all looking to experiment with?
And lastly - just how beautiful is the BBC Breakfast female presenter today? I'm sorry I don't know her name but she is so pretty.
