Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

Another one here who loves Bretons - and not ashamed to admit it Grin.

One, well done on the weight loss. Hope you are proud of your achievement so far.

Anni sorry you are feeling so rotten. Am going thought the menopause and that's no picnic either. Good job we have clothes to cheer us up!

Am on the hunt for jeans today-wish me luck as really struggle with trousers as am a shorty with a tummy!

shopafrolic · 22/01/2014 08:51

One well done - that's an amazing achievement
Novice I think you're in the midst of your move so hope stress levels are low
Blair Yup - I'm an Autumn. I didn't do HoC so I'm described as Warm Deep.
Anni Rubbish - feel better soon I sympathise
Awful night's sleep without DH. Roll on Friday but then I'm into two weekends worth of birthday parties for DS. Never ending!

MarshaBrady · 22/01/2014 09:08

That's great One well done!

Fedup check out Donna Ida online. 70% off now.

RubyLovesShopping · 22/01/2014 09:23

AnniThanks it's a horrible feeling, takes about 3 days before the bloating and pain goes for me.
One good news all round
Novice hope all goes well, I think I want a dressing room!
I must have missed all the Breton talk, used to dip in and out if the thread for ages. out of curiosity what did turn out to be the definitive one??

RubyLovesShopping · 22/01/2014 09:24

Ps shop looking forward to the continuing dress hunt- I can't wear black either but it is still my going out dress colour of choice.

Annianni · 22/01/2014 09:34

Thanks... I'm just feeling sorry for myself now.
On sunday, I would have happily killed someone and/or divorced dh!

Nothing at Donna Ida for me, some bargains though.

I used to wear a lot of black when I was younger.
But I was usually tanned, so it looked ok.

With my pasty natural pale skin colour, it looks a bit too harsh especially now my hair is long.

I remember the breton hunt, I think Shop bought 2 in the end?

shopafrolic · 22/01/2014 09:54

I did - but bear in mind they are to suit Autumn colouring so cream based. RL breton
Massimo top (not a true breton)

Stokey · 22/01/2014 11:29

Hello all

Hope you're feeling better Anni - am considering getting an implant to help with periods as they have got so much heavier after children. Friend got one last year & says it's much better.

I don't know anything about colours but they seem to come up a lot on here. Am dark haired with brown eyes and olive-ish skin but freckly too. My mother is Asian so I go brown everywhere except my face where I seem to have inherited my Irish father's skin. Red definitely suits me, guess I'm something warm.

Have booked a denim clinic appointment at Selfridges tomorrow evening. Will tell you what they come up with Fedup as am also short with a bit of tummy.

What did you all think about Channel with trainers? Definitely covet the silver glittery ones but don't feel ready to ditch the heels with evening wear.

OneLittleLady · 22/01/2014 12:03

Thanks everyone, I'm really chuffed Smile

No fashion news here, in my pjs getting to grips with violin tuning!

MarshaBrady · 22/01/2014 12:16

Stokey warm sounds lovely for you.

Anni hope you feel better.

My pettys arrived and for about 5 minutes I had no clue what they were or what I had ordered. That's a first!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/01/2014 12:55

Afternoon all!

Just quickly dropping by to link these.

Ignore the rest of the site - generally pretty frumpy, but for basic cashmere, decent quality (I hear) and a reasonable range of colours at a bargain price, not too bad.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 22/01/2014 13:23

Just wondering if anyone has seen anything that looks like this, but not for $5,500 (or anything close)?

Drywhiteplease · 22/01/2014 14:11

Good luck Novice
Anni hot water bottle, trackies flame me and paracetamol.....don't kill DH he sound lovely Smile
Stokey what I'd give for your colouring.....I'd love naturally brown legs Sad
I haven't drunk or spent money on clothes for 3 weeks Shock anfpd I'm surviving! Grin
Well done One on the incredible weight loss.

Back to bathroom brochures boring....could someone choose me two bathroom suites, I'm baffled and hoovering.

LinusDKD · 22/01/2014 14:41

grumpy I went to the Longchamp shop in town and they had 1 red year of the horse pliage and were going to get more in stock tomorrow. They were selling it for 310 chf (not sure what that is in gbp)

MarshaBrady · 22/01/2014 14:49

Shop have your other dresses arrived?

Annianni · 22/01/2014 14:50

Ha ha... Dry... I've spent the day in wide leg navy sweaty betty yoga pants, a navy vest, plum cashmere slouchy sweater, woolly socks and slippers and I don't care

Just had mammoth trying on session...

NaP bargain J Brands are lovely, they fit, nice colour, but I remembered why I didn't want the 100% cotton ones.

They're already on the dhl van, winging their way back to London.

The Great Plains Roisin cardigan is nice, super cheap at £22 but I don't think it does anything for me.
There's a lot of fabric round my middle which makes me look bigger than I am.
So back it's going.

Now I did a sneaky me+em order at the weekend PMS shopping is the best and I'm keeping the boyfriend tee in navy and white.

Also tried the forest, but the colour makes me look a bit ill. And it makes my hair look red, when it's an a dark ash brown Hmm so that's going back.

And finally...
Got a couple of sports bra/crop top style things from Gap.
They seem very comfy and I needed them, honest! :o

Still debating the jeans situation.

shopafrolic · 22/01/2014 14:54

No dresses here today but Hudsons have arrived. Flannels say 5-7 day delivery for the dresses. Not sure what the returns policy is for the Outnet as ideally want to keep until they are all here for comparison. Need to try boots on.

Stokey · 22/01/2014 15:36

Anni haven't ordered anything from me+em yet (am I the only person on MN?), was thinking forest colour looked nice

ooh new boots, exciting shop

Am proud of self for wandering into Zara at lunch & not buying one of the many jumpers reduced to £10. They were Ok but wouldn't have considered if they weren't a tenner so stopped myself. Sales are still crazy round here, massive reductions everywhere.

shopafrolic · 22/01/2014 16:26

The boots are good - slimmer than my old ones (which may well have stretched). I love my old beaten up pair but need to be strict so will chuck them away to make room......

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/01/2014 16:28

Hi all

shop I need cream based bretons too, will have to keep an eye out from now on. Would love a cream/navy one.

The outnet returns policy is horrible, they refund your postage but charge you more to return items so you end up paying a few £ for the privilege (but I suppose the collection is free, so...)

one well done on the weight loss!

Grumpy that ring is amazing, so sparkly.

My clarks monk shoes arrived and they are lovely, fit perfectly and look a lot nicer than you'd expect for £40. Now just need to figure out what to wear them with in this chilly weather.

Fedupnagging · 22/01/2014 16:33

Stokey I've not ordered from me & em either. Don't know why as I liked what I saw.

Am feeling rather pleased as found these today. Apart from being too long, they are a great fit and really flattering.

Also found a jumper (tunic length on me) from Sandwich. It's a lovely petrol colour. Can't find a picture to link though. Think I will be rebuilding my wardrobe very slowly!

Had my colours done years ago and am a summer. I do wear a lot of black esp for work but tend to brighten it up with scarves.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now Anni

Fedupnagging · 22/01/2014 16:39

Didn't see this in the store - it's got little zips on the cuffs. I love it!

They did however, have some Hudsons but I resisted. They were £145 but am sure I've seen them a bit cheaper somewhere.

Stokey · 22/01/2014 16:40

They look great Fedup very wearable.

Am thinking may take my Mum & do both our colours in the summer when she comes over, sort of thing she would really like. Another money spending idea courtesy of MN.

shopafrolic · 22/01/2014 16:49

Do you mean Hudson boots or jeans Fedup - if boots, their sale is still on here

Fedupnagging · 22/01/2014 16:56

Boots - thanks shop am heading over there now.

What are their sizings like? Am a 4-41/2 usually.
