Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

Lovely new Whistles stuff. I like this in pink.

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 20:26

Ooh that colour really wouldn't do me any favours. Earthy, beigey, camel colours don't suit me even though I love them on others.

DH travels a lot but when he doesn't he really tries to be home in time for dinner and we share bed and bathtime. Then he works a bit more when the DC are in bed.

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 20:28

Loved the breton search. You lot were amazing! I still wear it, and the green one MrsR gave me. Fab. The great MNV black dress hunt may be the next one to go down in Vogue history! :)

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 20:29

Linus perhaps I need an early night so I can read up

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 20:35

There are a few dresses pinned for you, mine a not black though.

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 20:50

They're great linus and I'm very tempted by the green mini one but I have decided that a crew neck suits me if I'm going to wear a shorter skirt length, and I need to stick to black. That was what I was looking for. Must..... Not.......be.......sidetracked......
But Thanks

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 20:58

But but but but (aping DS) ..... aren't you not supposed to wear black?

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 21:01

Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but marsha, Liberty and MrsR said I can still do black. And even the woman who did my colours said it's ok. Plus - what tights do you wear with a green dress? Oh bloody hell, I don't know what to do! Stamps foot.

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 21:07

Oh ok then, if they say it's ok then I gues it is. Wink

Black tights!!!

Or have a look at Falke or Wolford, they do great coloured tights.

BrandyAlexander · 21/01/2014 21:46

Oh Linus has just asked what I was about to ask! I thought you were avoiding black!

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 21:52

Daytime yes Novice but not for nights out

BrandyAlexander · 21/01/2014 22:01

Have just been over to the house. God the carpets are in a right state.Sad I pinned pics of dressing room but couldn't take a good piccie?

One, are you okay lovey? Haven't seen you on the thread. Pinned a piccie of my garnet ring for you. Hope you're okay x

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 22:02

I always wonder how much "your colours" can matter in the evening, when you're in the dark or artificial light, given that you get them done in natural light in order to see them properly. Is it autumn you are shop?

The woman who did my colours was adamant I should not wear black and I was very resentful for ages after Grin so go for it if you have "permission"!

Decameron · 21/01/2014 22:10

I'm still going to wear black for nights out, good with red lipstick and blow dried hair. But can look harsh head to toe by day!

MarshaBrady · 21/01/2014 22:17

I'm the same. I have a black cocktail dress, which I wear with nearly black 30 denier tights and black heels.

But I dug out an old black See by Chloe coat for swimming - I'm too precious to stuff the Marant in the locker Grin - and I can't get on with it at all. It's only a walk to the local gym. Which, given our chat the other day, is not bad at all! Nice newish and clean.

Also wear old Edelmans. Feel like I have a shadow wardrobe!

So I generally avoid black in the day too.

OneLittleLady · 21/01/2014 22:25

I'm fine *Novice, just sorting out various lessons, short courses and other bits and bobs to start getting me into shape for uni Grin it'll be September before I know so I need to get my butt moving and sort myself out because time waits for no one (that said, i could do with an extra six months and a massive cheque being delivered to pay for it all!)

Swishing about in my new dirt cheap size fourteen skirts and dresses, dropped to 15 stone 1 now so it's slowly but surely coming off. other people are noticing now which is a bigger boost than I expected!

BrandyAlexander · 21/01/2014 22:34

Oh that's fab One! How much have you lost now?

Drywhiteplease · 21/01/2014 22:34

I LOVE-BRETONS!!! Think it's ok to say that here Ruby Grin
Shop hang in there with DS ....I may need to buy some marine animals for petulant 15yr old DS , argumentative, opinionated, know all Sad still love him though Smile

Yes, the GReat Breton search
Then Anni's great boot search
My camel coat search
Shop's black dress search.......there have been many on here.

Ahem linus I never make typos! it IS the phone's fault Hmm

And don't you hate it when DH invites friend round without warning and the house is a tip and washing everywhere I know you're shocked, but tomorrow's my cleaning window

OneLittleLady · 21/01/2014 22:38

Novice lost 1 stone 8 pounds so far. Doesn't sound like a lot but it really makes a huge difference. i don't feel like i'm 'dieting' either so it's been easy so far. if it keeps dropping off like it has so far, I'll be happy. Grin

Decameron · 21/01/2014 23:15

One that is a big weight loss, very well done and good luck with university.

BrandyAlexander · 21/01/2014 23:19

That's fantastic, One. CongratsSmile

OneLittleLady · 21/01/2014 23:34

thanks Decam & Novice it all seems to be coming together so far just got to concentrate on what i need to get done and keep going, no time for being lazy and putting things off til the ever stretched tomorrow!

Annianni · 22/01/2014 08:05

That's brilliant One, well done.

I'm a horrible bloated mess, I hate periods!!! Angry

NaP bargain J Brands are due today, along with some Gap sports bras.
Not sure I'm in the mood for trying on... may have to force myself... :o

Good luck for Saturday Decam.
I think I'd like my colours done this year.

Annianni · 22/01/2014 08:07

When's moving day Novice?

PLEASE don't forget your jewellery!!!!

Turquoiseblue · 22/01/2014 08:08

Morning Smile
Quiet here - not shopping - most exciting purchase was this inspired by WIT and scarf
And this in mint - super silky soft and lovely! Anyone looking for gorgeous hats defiantly check out echo site - their stuff is just fabulous.

Fingers x d you get your LBD shop.
Was hoping to get some premium denim over the sales period but not inspired by any I ve seen.
I ve tried frame straight leg and could just about squeeze into my normal size and size up was a bit gappy. Nice soft denim though I d imagine a bit of give in it !
