Do you...

  • love fashion (high and low end), style, beauty?
  • spend way more time than is healthy for anyone thinking about the contents of your wardrobe?
  • wish you had the nerve to apply for Mastermind with your specialist subject being the history of H&M collaborations?

If so come and chat! Hugs and kisses allowed

Shop great news about the flats!!! U
Nothing to report fashion wise, bit of a wilderness out there isn't it? Loving the pastel blues, chuffed I bought the blue Nancy last year. Parents/teachers tonight ....will wear cel coat (again) and heels , need to be tall to face dd teachers Grin

Drywhiteplease · 21/01/2014 17:02

Bloody phone.... Always write nonsense !

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 17:05

Yeah dry! Blame it on the phone! Wink

RubyLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 17:08

Nice shirt Linus, I like the dark green one too.
Dry I am in a clothes wilderness too, just done a Boden order consisting if stripy Bretons (age 15-16 is a perfect for size 8) and navy velvet slipper boots. I really am the height of chic aren't i? Grin

Decameron · 21/01/2014 17:43

Thanks for the sizing info, my car battery was flat and by the time I got it sorted out, the Frames I was thinking about getting were sold out. So ordered Current/Elliot (which fit me well usually) instead.

Hope you are feeling better, Liberty. Is the bag a keeper?

Great about the shoes, Shop. I have similar shoes.

I love those pastel colours too, Dry.

Pretty colour top, Blair.

Decided to finally get HOC done at the weekend so I can organise my wardrobe a bit better.

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 18:20

Evening!

Quick question: DH has taken tomorrow off to spend some time just the two of us when the DC are at nursery. (In lieu of the traveling he's done on weekends)

We are going out to lunch and I want to wear my new DvF dress but with black opaques. On the Matches website the model had bare legs but I can't do that because I would freeze and my legs are as white a a ghost.

Do you think I can wear opaques with them?

decam shame you returned the dress but I think I know which one you kept and that one is stunning. but no size 8 left in stock anymore

Decameron · 21/01/2014 18:35

I have a similar colourway to the one we both bought, Linus (another reason why I returned it), I wear it with black oqaques. This is the one I kept, I think pinks is better on me than black (will find out on Sat though!). Enjoy lunch out.

Decameron · 21/01/2014 18:35

*opaques!

Decameron · 21/01/2014 18:35

*pink not pinks
I haven't been at the wine yet!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 18:50

I think you can linus because it has black in the print. Lunch and a day with your DH sounds lovely.

decam any idea what season you will be/hope you will be? I wanted Winter...

I think this time of year is definitely clothes wilderness, that sort of inbetween seasons time.

Decameron · 21/01/2014 19:00

I think I am probably spring or summer (green eyes, brown hair, fairly pale and freckly - very Irish!). Are you a spring? Not planning on throwing away the black but I"ll keep it in mind going forward! !

Decameron · 21/01/2014 19:02

I like summer colours a lot also winter but resigned to the fact black is not my best colour, I can see it in old photos.

MarshaBrady · 21/01/2014 19:05

I think spring or summer for you too Decam. Will be interesting to see. Nearly everyone has been autumn or winter for ages!

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 19:10

decam that's the one! I think that kind of pink would suit me as well so maybe it's a good thing it's not in my size anymore.

I think I'm a winter but no HoC here and the Colour me Beautiful in the nearby town seems to have closed.

ruby I have my eye on some Boden basics as well but not quite in the mood yet for S/S stuff. and waiting for a discount code

Will try the dress with opaques tomorrow.

MarshaBrady · 21/01/2014 19:11

Linus I think it would be fine, but I must admit I'm losing track of who owns which DvF!

RubyLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 19:28

Linus it was all dregs of sale stuff- spent £35 total in 2 Bretons and 2 pairs slippers.

RubyLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 19:29

Not actually sure am allowed to admit to wearing Bretons on MNV but am outed now!

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 19:32

Awful bath and bedtime with DS. Need wine. Roll on DH getting home - I'll be a wreck by Friday (or bankrupt!)

Sleepwhenidie · 21/01/2014 19:34

No Bretons Shock - quite the opposite Ruby, I think I am the only one around here without at least one suspects there may be a world shortage of Bretons as a result of MNV trying to find the perfect one Grin

shopafrolic · 21/01/2014 19:38

Decam I had assumed you'd done your colours way back - let us know what you come out as. And I'll form an orderly queue for any cast offs Grin

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 19:39

I LOVE Bretons! My favourite is a MiH yellow and white one I bought last summer.

I am always on the lookout for more and have pinned some Boden ones from the new collection.

shop Wine

I had to do Bed and Bathtime on my own as well as DH is out to dinner this evening. Hmm

LinusDKD · 21/01/2014 19:43

Oh shop please read the chapter on Descriptive Praise in that book someone recommended.

I've only read that chapter and thought I'd give it a go with DS as he's been very whiney, clingy, tantrummy, happy, active, lethargic etc the last two weeks. (Seriously, he's like a rollecoaster at the moment)

DH immediately noticed I was talking to DS differently and I think DS did as well. It's only the first step but I can see some small improvement already!

BrandyAlexander · 21/01/2014 19:52

Sleep makes me all nostalgic for the great Breton search. I swear it was all I could think about for weeks!

The dcs have been right horrors tonight. Now camped out in ds' room.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/01/2014 19:55

Yes decam I've been a "Blue" Spring since late 2012 Wink - would be good to have another on the thread (think I am the only disagnosed one?)
But maybe if you like Summer colours you'll find you are a summer?

I have pretty much given up black clothes, but still wear black tights and shoes and a couple of things I had before HoC. This past winter I have lived in navy!

After saying earlier about the clothes wilderness, I looked at whistles new season stuff and have to say I want most of it - some lovely colours here.

Decameron · 21/01/2014 20:17

I like Bretons too.

DH is never here for bath and bed, I bet he pretends to be stuck at work but is having a pint or at the gym.Hmm

I have a pretty good idea of what doesn't suit me but never that sure about neutrals. Also have never worn this jacket perhaps there is a reason!
