After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Ta Da List
Morning Cleanse tone moisturize (face and body), body buff - minimal make up - outfit planned ahead ( timed my new morning routine around 20 mins if everything organised - but not hair - not bad!)

Hoovered front room and general tidy up downstairs - friend round this morning for Croissants and coffee - she had come all the way from Sweden - that's my excuse anyway

Taken down all decs apart from tree which am leaving up and lit for tonight

To Do List - Over the next 28 hours
45 mins of mad dancing - have been reading up on the history of Northern Soul - shall attempt such like dancing v soon

Make food plans/shopping list for next week - healthy , healthy, healthy

Box up Christmas decs

Cull some scarfs ..still the fact have not done this yet prevent me buying more in town today

Make beds up

Clean windowsills

Manicure with Sherlock on Sunday night

Waterproof my new Longchamp bag.

Drink water, then drink some more

Buy a kettlebell from Aldi and research some moves ( have a couple of kettlebell experts at work anyway - they are really good value in aldi at the moment!)

Jemima Ref the cardigan - it was meant to be!!

CatAndFiddle · 04/01/2014 18:47

Must clean fridge out before shopping delivery tommorow afternoon
Meal plan with some of the new recipes

ControlGeek · 04/01/2014 20:05

thinkofa that's a definite case of putting yourself at the bottom of your priority list. How about setting aside an hour or so just to do stuff for yourself, no housework allowed?

updating my ta da list:
Shredded
Princessed the garden - trimmed back the fuchsia, weeded a bit, planted a load of bulbs
Fasting day has been a success
Spent some time in my craft room getting all crafty (this counts as princessing to me, because I don't normally spend time doing this)
changed the bedding
put the bedding on to wash. Am about to go hang it up to dry as soon as I post this.
Full bikini wax (did this yesterday but forgot to put it on my earlier ta da list)

to do (tomorrow)
hall, stairs and landing
salt in the dishwasher
Shower
Hair
Defuzz
Ironing
Nails
Sort clothes out for work on Monday
Shred
Non-fasting day

lucysmam · 04/01/2014 20:32

MadBusLady happy birthday!

Jemima that cardigan was meant to be for you Wink

Helga So far the only thing I've managed off the "chore" list is topping up cleaners on my online shop. Have shifted the poinsettia to the front window though to brighten it up for the moment.

Control I've still been slapping on the same amount of shampoo, will try less tomorrow and see!

Well, we had a chilled afternoon apart from a random moany message from my dad about a case we used to move. We borrowed four, he reckons my sister's (one out of four) smells of fag smoke and had broken glass in.

Anyone who smokes, smokes outside the back door both here and at the old house. & the only broken glass was the washer door and a glass that was in one of the kitchen boxes. I checked all the cases we'd borrowed from people (ten ish in total) as we emptied them the day of moving & garaged them and there was nothing in any of them. To say I'm Confused is an understatement! We have a strained relationship at the best of times but placing the blame for one of them on me for this one's really niggling me!

Anyways, I got myself a coat while we were out and a fake Gautiler perfume for three quid. Just had a long, peaceful, soak in the bath. Going to chill with my book for an hour then bed & lie in in the morning without having to elbow dp out of bed first to watch the kids!

It is safe to say the two alcohol free days a week thing is currently not going well Blush

chocolatiere · 05/01/2014 12:33

Talking of alcohol, I would like to cut down but find it's become quite an ingrained daily habit. 6pm and out comes a wine glass or 3 Blush

Not sure quite how to approach it - a bit less every day? None for a day?

ControlGeek · 05/01/2014 16:17

Ooh thinkofa can we make that an official thing? Grin mind you, I'm rubbish at doing my housework so any excuse... How did your day of no housework go?

rusmum til xmas????? The weight loss sounds doable though - there are 15 weeks until Easter so averaging 2-2.5lb/week will see you there.

chocolatiere that sounds like me and dp. Cutting down doesn't work for us, we need to have complete nights off it otherwise once that bottle is open... well, you know the rest Wink DP likes his tea so will make a pot to last the evening, and I'll just chain-coffee-drink (decaf) until bedtime.

JemimaMuddledUp · 05/01/2014 19:43

OK am really starting to get nervous about starting my new job tomorrow. Am worrying about what to wear as a distraction to stop me having to worry about the actual job!

Have decided on an outfit: teal cardigan, navy jersey top, navy wide leg trousers, nude heels, subtle gold jewellery, tan/beige zebra print scarf, navy coat, tan tote bag.

Going to have a bath, defuzz, wash my hair etc tonight so that I have more time in the morning. I have to leave the house at 7:45.

My nails are done (shellac) and my hair has been recently cut and coloured.

Need to take lunch with me but I have bought a new lunchbox for that purpose. Tomorrow am going to take a sandwich and some fruit, but I'm hoping they've got a microwave so that I can take soup in future.

I am so nervous. I'd been in my last job for 9 years and this is a totally different sector too. I need your positive vibes!

ControlGeek · 05/01/2014 20:11

Oooh good luck jemima! Your outfit sounds lovely. What sector have you moved into (be as vague as you like, I'm just nosey!)? The sandwiches sound like a good plan. My work don't have any form of staff-accessible kitchen so sandwiches is a good safe bet.

ControlGeek · 05/01/2014 20:22

updated ta das (in addition to previous)
showered & makeup removed
hair washed and intensively conditioned
full body scrub
defuzzed
nail varnish removed
full body moisturised
Mary Cohr depil soin used on bikini area to reduce hair regrowth (ouchie!)
Scholl pumice foot scrub used
Anew face wash, eye serum, night cream and lacura wrinkle stop all used
Teeth brushed with Blanx
Teeth flossed
Good2Be heat protection spray used
Hair dried
Hair straightened
Hair oiled
Dressed smart casual
Dirty laundry in basket
Shirts ironed for the coming week

to do
Finish cooking and eat tea
Put clear nail varnish on
Semi-early night

lucysmam · 05/01/2014 20:47

ooh, Jemima good luck!! Your outfit sounds fab & the tan tote like it'll go perfectly.

Sunday pamper all done, I have no idea which random box my epistick is in though so will have to rummage that out tomorrow and do my top lip tomorrow after the afternoon school run. Nails are clear varnished, eyebrows checked for strays & mud masked after my shower. Hair serumed, dried and oiled but not straightened since it's behaving itself nicely for a change!

Had a make up free day today & pinched some more of dd's cetraben for my dry patch on my cheek.

Back to school tomorrow so clothes are laid out for me and dd1. Dd2 doesn't start back until Weds so she can stay here with dp who has an unexpected day off.

Hopefully tomorrow is new washing machine day (dp can't remember what day delivery is meant to be Hmm ) so I can crack on with the gazillion loads there are to do.

JemimaMuddledUp · 05/01/2014 20:52

Complete change of outfit plan. Have decided to wear an orange sweater, grey trousers and black ankle boots. The orange jumper always makes me feel really positive. I'll wear the teal cardi on Tuesday, unless of course I change my mind again during the night.

I have worked in Early Years Education for the past 9 years as the deputy manager of a nursery school. The new job is in the Finance office of a Business Consultancy firm. I is the kind of thing I used to do before the DC, I have a degree in Business, but that feels like a very long time ago!

smellylittleorange · 05/01/2014 21:15

Good luck Jemima - I am sure you will be fab !

Tada -
boxed and put away Christmas decs & Tree
Prepared all school uniform for DD
Manicure
wash and blow dry hair
Wndowsills

Bought a kettlebell and healthy foods

I am feeling quite down at the moment - must be post christmas blues - I wanted to book a new year jan early feb break but seems this is impossible as the few weekends DH has off are centreing around football matches Im just fed up !!

Dilidali · 06/01/2014 06:15

Morning!
Just wanted to wish the ladies who start new jobs today Good Luck!!!
And a fab week ahead for every one :). My thought of the week is gratitude for a job that I love, pays the bills and allows me to spend a decent time with my family :)

vvviola · 06/01/2014 06:17

Good luck Jemima!

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 06/01/2014 08:28

controlgeek No housework Sunday was an absolute triumph, though this evening might have to be 'frantically cleaning the pigsty Monday'! I felt faintly guilty every now and again, but managed to overcome it.

Ta dahs so far:
Up, treadmill at the gym, showered, hair wash and dry, body butter, makeup, healthy breakfast, coordinated office clothes (minor miracle). Made an Asian noodle salad to have for lunch and a spinach soup for dinner. I'll have had about 20 of my 5 a day today! (Smug!)
