I've just ordered the Paige skinnies, Shop you are naughty but I bloody love you!!!!!! Hope Cavan are ok....anyone bought from them before? Kind of fashion karma don't you think? No me + em jumper but then shop links the jeans Grin

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 22:15

And my ass looks amazing in it Grin, but I find them a bit large,so go down a size.

MarshaBrady · 27/12/2013 22:17

Good one Santa Grin

Good one Dry and Shop for linking

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 22:17

Its fate dry , the gods of fashion work in mysterious ways Grin

LinusDKD · 27/12/2013 22:25

Evening!

Quickly checking in to say that I have bought half of Boots and Space NK but on the fashion front I only bought some TS Leigh skinnies.

I tried on the DvF Zarita dress in Selfridges (I can fit in a size 10 , yay !) and whilst it was nice, it wasn 't wow.
Maybe at a big discount , but not fp.

Oh and I finally saw the Pashli in the flesh and the mini is even tinier than my Nano. No cobalt though, even in the medium.

libertychick · 27/12/2013 22:25

Well done Dry your first foray into premium denim!
I am keen to try out Paige, Rag and Bone and the photoshop J Brands.

libertychick · 27/12/2013 22:26

Linus are you in London today? Hope you are having fun! Shopping sounds good.

OneLittleLady · 27/12/2013 22:29

I have decided that I am going to start saving money for every pound I lose from now on to go towards a VW dress. I've been eyeing them up for a long time but because of my weight, I haven't bought one. i think that saving for one will be a good incentive to carry on with what I am doing and when I reach a size I am comfortable with, I will have something I've been coveting for ages to swish around in Grin

LinusDKD · 27/12/2013 22:34

Yup in London.

Every time I'm back it just feels so strange to see these familiar sights. Places I used to see on a daily or weekly basis and now I am just another tourist.

Our lives have changed so much since we left 5 years ago!

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 22:34

That's a good ideaone,a VW dress would look great on you.

Drywhiteplease · 27/12/2013 22:35

liberty I ordered a load of premium jeans at the beginning of the year but got a bit phased. To be honest what I need to do is go to H Nics and have a massive try on of loads of brands. But hopefully these will be lovely and I won't need to.

OneLittleLady · 27/12/2013 22:35

I've pinned a pic, you know where, of the specific style of dress I'm looking at. Also, thank you santa Smile

libertychick · 27/12/2013 22:38

Great idea one

Shop Thanks for pm!

Dry I keep meaning to do a Selfridges day and try on loads. But need a day with (a) plenty of time and (b) feeling reasonably body confident!!

Drywhiteplease · 27/12/2013 22:47

Ditto liberty. The problem is I hate trying on jeans and after a few pairs can't see the wood for the trees, and my bum seems to get bigger and bigger...in the end they all look terrible and I end up jean less in a cafe (are you all crying yet?!!!)

libertychick · 27/12/2013 22:51

Yes shopping for jeans has made me cry! I like the idea of going somewhere like the Dressing Room or Donna Ida and having someone knowledgeable help me and spare my blushes by not bringing in jeans that won't come up over my thighs

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 22:52

dryand liberty I did that earlier this year, went to selfridges, and tried on CE,j brand, and I roughly got an idea of the cut and fit of each one,I then ordered from revolveclothing and shopbop, saved a lot.
linus enjoy it, London is an amazing city,I love everything about it! some places take awhile to adjust to,but i felt instantly comfortable here and the people are just fab, really friendly and nice. since I first came hete,I've been treated with nothing but love and kindness!

London you are awesome !

MarshaBrady · 27/12/2013 22:55

London is fab I agree. How long have you been here Santa?

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 23:02

About 12 years, marsha came to study, then got offered a job,and the year I was supposed to move to Canada, met my man again!
Sorry for all the spelling mistakes, still feel shaky after our epic journey home.

MarshaBrady · 27/12/2013 23:04

I got here at the end of 1998 I think. Can't believe it has been so long!

MarshaBrady · 27/12/2013 23:06

And I agree on jeans shopping, it only takes a couple before it becomes a drag.

Good idea One.

OneLittleLady · 27/12/2013 23:16

Grin Grin I bought a dress today, in a size 14 and it looked tiny so i got it to slim into ( i know i know, usually a bad idea) however, I just tried it on and it fits perfectly [grin Grin a total change from my usual style of dress as it's a shift style one but I felt great in it, it showed off my waist and there were no rolls of back fat showing, no odd lumps or bumps anywhere and I wasn't even wearing any control undies!

bloomingheather · 27/12/2013 23:20

I love that Sonia Rykiel bag liberty. Also love the gilet you linked for Foxy. I agree about jeans shopping - it's the only kind of clothes shopping that I procrastinate about. I bought a pair of J Brands from Start on a trip to London a few years ago and I remember them being really helpful.
Is anyone watching 'Queer as Pop' on Channel 4 about the growth of the gay house music scene and it's influence on mainstream music? It's fab.

bloomingheather · 27/12/2013 23:21

That sounds lovely OneLittleLady.

santamarianovella · 27/12/2013 23:22

Its really strange marsha I never thought I would actually live and get married here,Me and a couple of people i work with were offered positions in a firm in Canada. about 4 months prior to moving there I met dh for the second time ,. everything moved really quickly, and I made the decision to remain in my current job,and the year after it I got married!

And I can't think of anything worse than a jeans trying session,I cried too!
