Happy birthday Just Thanks Wine hope you had a fabulous day

Barbie1 · 02/01/2014 23:25

queen I hope you don't have a hangover in the morning after your antics Grin I would never left dh do the 'lift' on me Shock I'd probably fly right over his head and face plant the floor That's if he can even left me that high in the first place

Envy at all the jean links. I so desperately need decent jeans but as mentioned before jean shopping fills me with dread. At 5'3 and hourglass I had no idea I was such an awkward shape Confused

We are being screwed over with the shipping and taxes from NAP and outnet. It will be an expensive way to try jeans on.

Dh has found an outlet mall on the mainland. Looks like some good brands so I think a trip in the future is on the cards.

onelittlelady I'm sorry to hear about your daily struggles. I was also tested for the very same thing a few months back. The pain was incredible so you have my up most sympathies. For me it was a trapped pectoralis minor muscle which required daily physico therapy for three months.

silversixpence love the coat. Definitely a right investment. Where about are you, we are getting charged such huge rates for shipping and taxes that suddenly things become not such good buys Sad
My only concern with the coat would be the sleeves. I just can't get on with that sleeve length. After living for so long in the M.E i really can't cope with the cold Blush
My cape is the same. I would wear it to death but I don't like seeing sleeves poking out of the bottom!

thank you Barbie it is tough but I just have to keep going, I refuse to be defeated by it and I agree, the pain is incredible but the easy option of sitting at home and doing nothing is not the one I want so I will keep fighting Smile

MarshaBrady · 02/01/2014 23:31

Thanks Barbie!

Drywhiteplease · 02/01/2014 23:35

just and onelittlelady if you like flower bomb you should look out for the Prada candy (dark pink) and Vera wang princess. Both in the same family of fragrances.

Barbie1 · 03/01/2014 00:02

OneLittleLady · 03/01/2014 00:08

Ladies I have a few questions about cashmere.

I really do not trust the dry cleaners here, not because of their skills but more the language barrier of something were to go wrong.

So my questions are:

Can you hand wash?

If so do I use normal detergent?

How often to you wash your cashmere? For example if it's not soiled and you have layered over something do you were a few times?

What's the best way to store it?

Sorry for all the silly questions. I think after a few bad dry cleaning instances I'm not completely comfortable.

SilverSixpence · 03/01/2014 05:02

Barbie1 I always wash mine on the hand wash setting in the machine and it comes out fine - if it's especially delicate then I hand wash in the sink with a bit of shampoo. I only wash if its dirty or stained though so after a few wears usually.

Where are you in ME? We are on holiday in UAE/Oman but DH is having interviews for jobs out here..he's saying most of the jobs in his field are in Saudi Arabia though which I'm not too enthusiastic about.

Barbie1 · 03/01/2014 06:11

I'm not in the ME any more. Left 18 months ago Sad living in Dubai was the best four years of my life. I know mn noramlly frowns about Dubai but it was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Dh has registered that I'm unhappy out here in Korea so we are looking to go back within the next few years, if not there then Abu D.
Saudi isn't the easiest of places to live, especially as a female. I have had friends out there who found it very restrictive and not a friendly place to live. Sorry!!

Where abouts are you staying?

Barbie1 · 03/01/2014 06:13

Oh and thanks about the cashmere tip.

My machine is all in Korean, apart from a few settings that the agent kindly wrote the translation for. There doesn't seem to be a handwash option, or if there is I definitely can't read it Grin

shopafrolic · 03/01/2014 07:36

Morning. I handwash all my cashmere in laundry bags on the machine setting. Use a wool specific detergent. I only wash after multiple wears as I always wear something underneath.
Marsha taught me the roll trick. To dry, lay flat on a thick towel and then roll the towel up and gently squeeze to remove excess moisture. Then dry flat on an airer, or another dry towel.......

MarshaBrady · 03/01/2014 08:00

That's 6 years of boarding school right there Shop Wink that and knowing how to change a duvet cover. Or maybe dh feigns his inability Hmm

Lovely to have an international element, hope you go back to the ME soon Barbie.

MarshaBrady · 03/01/2014 08:53

Justa lovely, lovely gifts!
