I bought this skirt from Anthropologie in my lunch break today and now feel guilty about the cost (especially as...yeah, I also bought this hat ) . I have no occasion to wear it! But loved it so Xmas Blush

Glad you're getting on well with the hat, Bee, when are you planning on wearing your skirt?

EvilRingahBitch · 05/12/2013 14:02

They've sold out of the bloody hat now.

Go to GAP and get yourself a cut price jumper to wear with skirt IMMEDIATELY OP. And some knee length boots with heels from the Jones sale - can't decide the colour though.

Thread has inspired me to raid wardrobe for "saving for best" clothes and get the buggers out and wear them,

Hmm, skirt remains a tricky one. I want so badly to chuck it on with my boots with the toe caps Grin but I really will have to wear it with heels I think, due to my aforementioned height.
Yes, GAP jumper a good idea! I do want to dress it down, but think it might have to wait for the Spring. Or at least until it stops snowing, as it currently is here. You? Encourage me.

Ooh I'm def planning on thick tights, ankle boots and a chunky jumper. In fact I picked up a soft dirty pink one in M&S yesterday in the hope it'll go! Either black or fusty brown tights, and either black biker style ankle boots (eons old Gap ones) or my new current faves tan Horrigan by H for Hudson. I do have a couple of old Gap cashmere v neck jumpers in the loft I will have to hunt down and a long cream jumper from Tescos which might work too. And then spring will bring another realm of possibilities Grin
I am completely opposite to you tho - 5'9 size 12 so who knows if the skirt will look any good!!

LalaDipsey · 05/12/2013 14:57

Ooh I forgot I have some DMs which might contrast really well with it esp if I could find some pink or purple tights!! (Not usually my sort of thing but this skirt is inspiring me!!£

Beeyump · 05/12/2013 21:00

Love the idea of it paired with DMs, and am Envy of you being 5'9 - will look better in the skirt I believe.

Awful on me. Skirt and cloche both terrible - 2 of the worst things for me I've tried on in ages and the felt hat looked like a beanie with sequins on for £48 :(
Don't get me wrong - the skirt is gorgeous and so is the cloche but on me the skirt resembled badly fitted curtains and the cloche just looked.... Terrible :( gutted :( still, at least my credit card will thank me.
Beeyump pls update when you wear yours so I can love vicariously through you as it is gorgeous - just not on me! X

OP if you play it right you can get a lot of wear out of the skirt for years I think it's a modern classic.

I'd dress up and down cream/white sequin top or angora sweater and also biker jacket. Would do twinkle steins links too. Also maybe broiderie anglaise top for summer maybe semi fitted shirt tied at waist? You could also do gorge ballet pumps (French sole).

However much as I'd love for everyday I'd rustle a few outfits maybe Instagram or get ideas (because it can be for girls lunch, Xmas party/lunch etc, potential summer party) then I'd leave them maybe in folder so you can wear skirt but not so much everyone knows it as its unique.

I would be kicking myself if it were in sale. SIL loves Anthro for home stuff I've got gorge floral silk skirt (pale and pastels sort of oriental with black fronds) from them in New York. I wear in spring/summer tho. Was same price as yours but when 2USD to £1 so I saved! Have another striped skirt from there but spring/summer too.

Not seen hat as not hat girl. Enjoy your lunchtime splurges! Smile
