£250 to spend on a bag... What would you buy?

I need a new main handbag as my old faithful lovely brown leather one I use for work has started to break after almost 10 years.

My budget is £250ish but I can't seem to find anything between Topshop and Mulberry that I like.

Do your worst, bag ladies.

Michael Kors or DKNY

I do like a lot of the coach bags. However, this close to Christmas, I'd wait for the sales and be sat on the Anya Hindmarch website on Boxing day to snag a bargain....

Or if you really do fancy a bench, this one is £25 - you can then still get the P&M Lucia at £199 and have £26 left over.

Have a glance at Grandala London ( formerly Blondie Mania). I love their Morellino bag.

I had the peony and moore, lucia in black, wasn't sure about it but left it too late to return (their return policy is 14 days, I emailed to ask and they wouldn't refund), never used it, am going to give it to my sister.
It just seem midway between smart and casual and didn't seem to have the right occasion to use it.
I also didn't think it looked like a £200 bag.

The Bristol shopper from R&B is bloody lovely. Let's hope it goes in the sale...

I know! Even if the Bristol doesn't go in the sale, try and go for it - it's such nice quality and perfect size. It's only a bag - but I'm delighted with it.

madammecholet · 28/11/2013 22:11

Isn't the Bristol shopper by Russell & Bromley just a Mulberry Baywater Tote rip off?

nice though...

polyhymnia · 28/11/2013 23:36

Maybe, but it's cheaper and good quality.

Just to say, was in a London (Knightsbridge) R and B today and they already had some of their bags marked down by £100 - £150 from £250 - though didn't have 'sale' stickers up. Not their best-sellers, of course, but saw some very nice and tempting ones none the less.

Just to say, if you were thinking of a Peony and Moore bag, there's 15% off today with the code SANTA13
