I love Marant. But I feel a bit pouty at the thought of how close that H&M stuff is, in terms of looking like her mainline stuff.

It really is very similar, but perhaps yes quality reduced.

I much prefer it when the collabs don't rip the mainline off so much.

Am worn out, have been on the go all day. I was only home for 15 mins at lunchtime but managed to catch the DHL man with my MJ bag

The colour is more of a dark forest green, not unpleasant but different to the picture. Also the gold hardware is a lot brighter and obvious than I thought it would be. It is a good size though. Will give it some further thought, am wondering whether a Coach would be better or AH Maxi cross body. Anyone have any other suggestions. I like the larger version of the Too Hot to Handle Marsha linked to but I am trying to get a smaller bag as my poor shoulders are worn out with the amount of crap I cart around.
Must go and do some tidying up now as house is a tip and I have only just eaten!
Oooh btw Annianni if you are there, have you noticed any bobbling on your Cos coat? I have only worn mine 3-4times and I noticed some bobbling under the arms today. I might try and waer it a bit more to see what happends.

Having said that I haven't actually bought any of the H&M / designer stuff. Not even the Marni.

mig i agree, marc jacobs lost it a long time ago! and that yellow TOP SHOP coat is a good copy of the famous yellow coat worn by the queen of belgium ,cant remember the designer!

So we've just had our annual financial review. I tried to convince our advisor that I'd be better off investing in handbags rather than ISAs .

Thnks for all the comments on pin. I'm going to go to bristol tomorrow and see if HN or HOF have anything and then will make a decision about the MJ. It would be good if i could see the lining irl. Now that amber has cast her expert winter eye over the longchamps I'm in agreement that no matter how hard I try to convince myself, they do not match my mole swatch!

Whoever mentioned the whistles bag, i've already seen that and discounted it as it has gold hardware which I don't like.

I'm pleased with the Cos dress - thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking wedge heels, opaques and a statement necklace with it for work and then with leggings or skinnies, bikers and a big scarf for a weekend look.

I like your Cos dress Liberty in fact I have a couple of v similar looking ones from there. I really like Cos all my most worn clothes are from there.

DH and I have just agreed a weekend away without the DC's later this month...so I'll be keeping that slip ...although I may have to wear it sooner than that to win the argument over where we should go

My DD loves owls. But I do not like fur. That looks like a weird lab cloning between a Gonk and an Owl and Denis Healey's eyebrows.

Liberty i really enjoyed Lanzarote. We stayed at Costa Teguise and visited Papagayo beach which is beautiful. Fab weather too (we went in Late Dec).

Dry I got them in M&S a couple of months ago but they have never been on the website to link - very like these ones but mine have a plain rather than patterned wedge. Very comfortable!

Sleep the slip is a must for a weekend away .

Wearing A&W silk shirt, Goldsign lures, faithful Floretes. YSL Arty ring and Kenneth JL gold necklace under shirt collar.
For the foodies (sorry to those on diets) we ate a sharing platter of olives, breads, mozzarella, chorizo, capers etc. I had steak frites with a peppercorn butter and tomato and onion salad, vanilla panna cotta with stewed apple. I am stuffed and cannot move.
Lots of great chat with DH, one of those nights when it reaffirms to you that you married the right man IYSWIM. He's been lovely. I've been spoilt. Night all. X
