Ha good enabling. I think they'd have to be very much in a sale for me. Wonder if they do sales.

But I can imagine once you've got the real deal it's hard to go anywhere else.

Decameron · 20/10/2013 09:10

Glad to hear that, TheWeek, they are the best scarves imo!

I haven't bought from Stella & Dot before but my friend said her S&D jewellery has not lasted well, what do you think? I am going to a S&D party soon though so have to buy something.

foxysocks · 20/10/2013 09:44

oh no decam - I had thought S&D was good quality, but only from reading blogs etc. anyone else have some and can confirm?

Drywhiteplease · 20/10/2013 09:49

Decameron I think it's over priced tbh. I bought a couple of friendship style bracelets to wear all layered and have worn them a lot and they're fine.

Feel a bit sheepish this morning.......I meant "are" not "ate"...... Then got the giggles those proper tear inducing hearty unstoppable chortle ones about eating my friends when DH was trying his luck Grin poor Mrdry!

Off to swing some kettle bells around. Santa and Novice absolutely fantastic shoes.

Theweek · 20/10/2013 09:56

Thanks all,
Marsha, can only shop Liberty via website as in NW.
Do they stock Jimmy Choo, not on the brand list on web site?
Worth a phone call later though, I have a loyalty card already!
20% discount would be super although will eat my knickers if it happens Grin.
Thanks!

shopafrolic · 20/10/2013 09:56

In a hope that some of Novice's house selling luck might rub off I am wearing the J Crew tee from NYC, Goldsigns, and tan Spirals. Feel nervous. Weird.

OP posts:
Theweek · 20/10/2013 10:02

Good Luck with the viewing Shop
I think my Atterley road compulsion is down to you Smile

Drywhiteplease · 20/10/2013 10:08

You'll be fine Shop.... I love this board for the simple fact that we can discuss outfits for any occasion without RL non fashion friend Hmm..... Your outfit for selling house sound perfect

shopafrolic · 20/10/2013 10:08

I'm pleased to hear it Theweek - stick around. We're a nice bunch

OP posts:
QueenCadbury · 20/10/2013 10:13

theweek you must stay now. Are you on pin? I'd love to see your wardrobe.

That's disappointing about the s&d stuff if it's not great quality as it's not cheap. I've asked the salon to contact the stylist to bring those 2 bracelets so I'll try them.

MarshaBrady · 20/10/2013 10:22

Ah can't quite remember if they do Choo Theweek. Worth a call I think.

Annianni · 20/10/2013 10:24

to Theweek we follow each other on pin I think...

Good luck Shop, when we sold dh's house, I did the viewing for the people who bought it, and I had a laugh with them.
I apologised for the dodgy tiles in the kitchen, saying dh's ex wife chose them... things like that.

Obviously not applicable to your gorgeous house, but I mean try to relax and not take it too seriously.
I got so stressed last year with it all, my hair started falling out (sob)

If they don't want it, somebody else will.

Decameron · 20/10/2013 10:24

Don't want to put you all off Stella & Dot, that's just what one friend has said but I don't know other than that. I was thinking of getting a friendship bracelet too, Dry.

Good luck with the viewing, Shop.

Also like your new boots, Novice. I have those Gold Dryxk boots too, wear them a lot in winter.

Annianni · 20/10/2013 10:26

I love your typos Dry :o

Annianni · 20/10/2013 10:29

I've never seen Stella & Dot, but have always liked the renegade bracelet.

And Mrscb has a lovely longish necklace that I like too.

LinusDKD · 20/10/2013 10:35

So I washed and styled (blowdry + BBH) my hair for the first time today and it looked lovely.

Came downstairs with glossy swishy hair wearing my Jimmies and a plaid Gant shirt I bought last year when I was still bf DD, put some make-up on and looked great. Wink

Then DH suggests we go for a walk in the pouring rain. Hmm

So we're back and I no longer have swishy glossy hair and have wet boobs and shoulders as the pac a mac (bought recently so testing it for the first time) is not
waterproof.

Not impressed!

Annianni · 20/10/2013 10:49

Oh no Linus!

I'm sat here with hairdye on my head

Dh had said I can have a couple of child free hours at my local enormous shopping centre today.
But he was checking his bank account this morning when I came downstairs, so it might now be vetoed! :o

BrandyAlexander · 20/10/2013 11:08

Good luck Shop! Fingers and toes crossed for you!

TheWeek, love those bikers. I fell out of love with Choos a few years ago when they went through their phase of charging same price but using lesser quality materials. They are over that now but my trust has gone.Hmm Having said that Choo Able shiny courts speak to me...!

We are on way to dpils for lunch. Am wearing helmut lang kinetic cowl neck top, j crew matchstick jeans and boots. Solid gold watch (it's a bangle), tanzanite and sapphire gold ring (present from dpils last Xmas) and a delicate gold bracelet that inter links 6 precious colourful gemstones.

Poor you Linus, I would be fuming!

OneLittleLady · 20/10/2013 11:34

Fingers crossed for you shop

novice your bling sounds amazing! I used to wear a ring on every finger but got out of the habit and now I am unadorned almost all the time. I must get the bracelet that my mum gave me fixed. It's a silver gate bracelet but the safety chain has come undone on one side so needs to be fixed back on. Mum was given it in the 70's so it's older than me!

mignonette · 20/10/2013 11:54

Good Morning everybody- am home in the most foul and disgusting weather. We had the lights on in the house until just fifteen minutes ago. Unbelievable!

Santa and Novice Serious shoe porn. My MNV lovelies- you have done this board proud!

Theweek Jimmy Choo Bikers whether to get? Hmm. Are Bears Catholic is what I would say. Yes, go buy with or without discount as age will not wither them nor custom stale their infinite variety.

I bought this from Loewe and got a good discount because the display case had a minute scratch inside the flap which doesn't bother me because after a week at the bottom of my bag it'll look like the old cow that it is made from Smile. I love the Diana Vreeland orange/pink is the navy blue of India vibe. I had to be dragged away sobbing wildly from this. I want, want, want like a tantruming child. And she is a cutie too.

When you have these Loewe bags in your hands, in a store that reeks of good leather and decades of Spanish craftsmanship you swoon, you really do. And the staff in the Plaza Nueva branch in Seville are lovely. They let you sniff and cuddle....I sound like a bloody pervert don't I?

I am going to have that pale yellow bag. I have to.

I bought two of these Bershka devore T's in grey and the dusty blue. They feel lovely. Bershka is this preppy style store in Seville that is a little young for me generally but has great inexpensive separates.

This is what I bought my daughter for Christmas.

mignonette · 20/10/2013 12:26

RE book suggestions can I direct you to my pinterest book pages? They contain pretty much all the books I have read lately. I am going to buy Donna Tartts latest 'The Goldfinch'. I love her and you should read 'The Little Friend' if you haven't already.

Also-

Barbara Kingsolver's novels- 'The Bean Trees', 'Pigs In heaven', 'Prodigal Summer', 'Flight Behaviour', 'The Lacuna', 'The Poisonwood Bible', 'Animal Dreams'.

Bailey White - 'A Good Year For Plums' and her short story/essay collections - 'Sleeping at the Starlite Motel' and 'Mama Makes up her Mind'.

Pat Conroy - 'Prince of Tides', 'South Of Broad'

Lori Lansens - 'Rush Home Road', 'The Wives Tale'

Tom Perotta - 'The Leftovers' (what happens after the Rapture to those left behind on earth-brilliant idea)

Michael Lee West - 'Consuming Passions' and 'Mermaids in the Basement' In fact any of her books.

Tan Twan Eng - 'Garden of Evening Mists'

Karen Russell - 'Swamplandia' One of my favourite ever books set in Florida and full of magical realism.

Janice Owens - 'American ghosts'

Paul La Farge - 'Luminous Airplanes'

Kathleen Jamie - 'Sightlines'. Essays on nature, life and love. Just beautiful

Hector Tobas - 'The Barbarian Nurseries'

T C Boyle - 'The Tortilla Curtain. Magical descriptions of the south western USA desert.

Drywhiteplease · 20/10/2013 12:31

For Decameron the two top friendship bracelets are S and D still looking ok after a lot of wear

QueenCadbury · 20/10/2013 13:14

How did it go shop?

You can all disown me now. I'm wering sweatpants and a north face fleece.

OneLittleLady · 20/10/2013 13:36

Oh queenC why a fleece?!?! Wink

QueenCadbury · 20/10/2013 14:27
