Lol Anni!

Annianni · 15/10/2013 10:37

Mig Envy

Annianni · 15/10/2013 10:43

I've just sent you a Pin Marsha, mine are calf length grey metallic shearling ones.
They are huge, but so cosy.

Dh bought them for me when I was pg with Ds2 and on crutches.
They're a bit big for me now I was a big bloated whale of a mess when pregnant so I wear them with thick socks for extra warmth.

Annianni · 15/10/2013 10:44

They do appear on the outnet occasionally.

MarshaBrady · 15/10/2013 10:45

Thanks Anni they look good. I have pinned some on mnv. But same thing they are 1 size too big. And long. But I think they look like the warmest things. I really want some, I can't bear cold feet!

MarshaBrady · 15/10/2013 10:47

Not sure whether to buy them! Yay or nay appreciated Grin

Annianni · 15/10/2013 10:50

I first heard about them on Gwyneth's blog.
She had some of the hairy ones for her and the dc's.
This will be the 3rd Winter for mine and they're still in great condition.

Annianni · 15/10/2013 10:56

I'd need a darker colour Marsha.
Have you had a Google?
EBay?

MarshaBrady · 15/10/2013 10:59

Not yet, will have a look. The prices! I imagine they are lovely at that price.

LinusDKD · 15/10/2013 11:04

Quickly for marsha

I bought these when pregnant with DS and they are super toasty and have good grip.

Sorry for the J. Simpson link Blush

They also exist in a shorter version.

Oh, and I do admit to wearing my normal Uggs outdoors, but everyone here does so I don't stand out.

MarshaBrady · 15/10/2013 11:06

Thanks Linus they look good. I think it's my area. Lots of fakes, has put me off a bit. But I don't mind shearling boots in general, I want warmth!

Annianni · 15/10/2013 11:16

There were some Tory Burch duck boots on the outnet yesterday. They look nice and warm.

foxysocks · 15/10/2013 12:27

there is nothing warmer than sheepkin/shearling boots marsha. my uggs are the kenlys, knee high in choc brown. they are nicer than regular uggs (imo!) and much sturdier, coming up to three years old and look new. i wear them on cold dry days, never ever ever in the wet it will destroy them.

i also have short black/charcoal pair by australia luxe from cocosa last year. v useful pre-post teaching as I often wear black or grey leggings so these also get lots of use.

those black pvc ones would worry me from the sweaty perspective of faux fur. not great for your feet imo. mou ones nicer but you couldn't wear in wet or snow. weliies and liners good idea for that scenario. or willies, if you are queenc Wink

sorry i disappeared on you guys last night. i read all your kind words and dissolved in tears again, i think the pain and tiredness were just overwhelming me. after a terrible nights sleep I caved and on the advice of mig Flowers went to the gp. he thinks I have trapped a nerve in my neck, and combined with other stresses the surrounding muscles have clamped up and won't let go. hence shooting 'sciatic' pains down my arm.

he's prescribed diclofenac(?) as an anti inflammatory and super strong codeine with a warning not to drive and gave me the danger of addiction talk too rofl.

carrie74 · 15/10/2013 12:59

Hello Voguettes, not caught up for a while, so just from what I've gleaned:

Foxy poor you, hope the painkillers do their stuff, and H's trip goes v v quickly.

I bought some fugly snow boots in the Lands End sale at the end of last winter, so haven't actually worn them yet. I was totally pissed off with wearing my wellies with liners through the snow, and losing the feeling in my feet within a few minutes. I also bought waterproof gloves for me and the kids so we can have longer snowball fights Grin. I thought my purchases would be a surefire way of ensuring hot winters for the foreseeable, but as I understand it, it's due to be cold again this winter...

RubyLovesShopping · 15/10/2013 13:25

I'm just catching up too whilst waiting to pick up littlest dc. Carrie I bought snow boots last year cue much sniggering from all friends and family members as they are fairly hideous but my feet were warm. Wellies are the way to go round here mixed in with riding boots a few Dubarrys here and there. I have knee length cashmere socks which are worn over some fine knit wool socks inside my wellies.
I enjoyed the nutrition stuff yesterday, food diaries are a shocker I eat far more than I think.
In a shopping rut at the moment still stalking the boots I want waiting for them in my size, still debating the Burberry pea coat, May order the I&I one, lovely Michael kors one on outnet and may also order the j crew one. Links later!

mignonette · 15/10/2013 13:34

The Frugality featured these little silver metallic beauties today. What do you all think? I'm a bit Confused as to whether I like all the straps on them

QueenCadbury · 15/10/2013 13:38

Whoever said that almonds fill you up was lying Grin!! I think doing circuits yesterday and a PT session today has made me starving. 2 handfuls of almonds after scrambled egg on toast and mushrooms and I'm still hungry! Trying not to think about dairy milk and undo all the hard work!

foxy glad you've got some painkillers. Hopefully your shoulder will get better before dh goes away.

mrsr not sure about that top. It looks a bit blue-y rather than a true emerald iyswim. I love the hat though. I may get a new hat myself. I've got a 3 cloche hats which I love and they suit me but they don't really go with what I wear. A hat like liberts would look much better. Yes please to looking for the cardi. Customer services have acknowledged my email but haven't got back to me whether they will get any more in stock. It's a green 55 merino wool cardi, size s or xs.

In the winter I have cold hands and feet whatever I wear. I wear 3 pairs of gloves (silk liners, gloves and then north face ski mittens) and I can still cry with the pain. I suspect I have raynauds as my fingers literally turn white and look dead.

mignonette · 15/10/2013 14:18

Foxy I have PMed you. Flowers and loads of love. xx

Sleepwhenidie · 15/10/2013 14:56

Anni Grin at inserting the Omega3 capsules - I wouldn't try that if I was you, could get messy! Sorry, they are huge!

QueenC - have a couple of pieces of chocolate woman - then put the rest of the bar away. Did you have breakfast?

Foxy - or not, given the pain it sounds like you are in Sad. Bad timing with DH away. Can a relative come and give you a little respite?

OneLittleLady · 15/10/2013 15:02

Poor you foxy I really do get how much pain you must be in as I get something similar with the nerve problem in my arm, it sends my back and shoulder muscles into spasm which in turn traps my nerves. Take it easy and make sure you eat with the diclofenac as it can give you a really upset and painful stomach if you take it without something to line your stomach

Drywhiteplease · 15/10/2013 16:49

School trip today, in my civvies.....wore the Stars and Stripes sweater, 5yr old said " MrsDry you look like a flag"...we were in a castle. Grin

No fashion news....compiling sales wish list.
Foxy hope you are ok. Stay with us, we'll cheer you up.
DH away for 2 nights, have just found his wallet Hmm..... Bloody hell Grin there's quite a bit of cash in it
Shop wait till I'm a celebrity comes on......I'm terrible Grin

OP posts:
OneLittleLady · 15/10/2013 16:54

No fashion news but I did buy a remote control spider for my nephew Grin

Also, some people are just rude rude rude. A woman walked past me today and got right in my face to call me fat! I have to say I just laughed at her because she was easily twice my size so she must have been projecting.

QueenCadbury · 15/10/2013 16:55

sleep you really don't know me if you think I can have a couple of pieces of chocolate and put the rest away Grin. And yes, I had breakfast and a small snack if chocolate before PT session

Sleepwhenidie · 15/10/2013 17:16

Eat something else then Queen, don't be hungry Sad.

MarshaBrady · 15/10/2013 17:33

Foxy hope your pain goes away. Can you do school runs etc without driving? Hope all is ok.

Ok I am reconsidering budget on shearling-lined. I really want warm feet so have realised I have to spend more than £50 I think!
