Morning!

Having a cappucino and pain au chocolat in peace and quiet after dropping the DC off at nursery.

DS had a bit of a wobble this morning but they always say it only lasts 1 minute and then he's off to play with his friends.

DD has only cried once at drop off! [schock] She is just a lot less sensitive than DS and being a second child I guess she's used to not being the Centre of the Universe unlike DS

Brrr it was 5 degrees this morning. I am wearing skinnies, old white R Lauren shirt, amother cashmere cardigan DM gave me (a bright baby pink with darker pink cuffs and collar) and my bikers.

Can't wait for the weekend to start! and read your regular updates of the MU

Sleepwhenidie · 11/10/2013 08:41

Hi all, I am toute seule this morning as DH away, so had the madness if getting 3dc's ready to go by 7.40am. Just about got ds1 to school for 8am, now pushing spoonfuls of egg at ds2 before we head out again for drops 2 and 3. Poor you with DS Shop, it's not fun. Try and think its a compliment he wants to stay with you, like we kep telling you, you can't be as bad a mum as you sometimes think Grin. Interesting about your DD Linus. I think the boys are usually more sensitive and less independent than the girls, mine certainly is never a backward glance on the way into nursery!

shopafrolic · 11/10/2013 08:52

This time in 24 hours I will be on my train to London. I am counting the minutes.....

Annianni · 11/10/2013 08:54

((Hugs)) Shop xx

I still remember Ds1 having to be prised out of my arms everyday for a bloody long month when he started nursery at 2.
I'd drive to work in floods of tears.
But when I rang them, he was fine, playing happily.
They even took a photo to show me one day to prove it :o

He would also burst into tears when I arrived to collect him!

Dry please don't cry Flowers Wine Cake

Right, we're off to our not so local enormous shopping centre later
I need to try the m&s cashmere sweater.
I want to look at the Whistles sale.
Anything else I've forgotten about?!

I love that red scarf Liberty, not seen it in-store since to try it. Will look later.
It was in a lovely grey too I think...

shopafrolic · 11/10/2013 09:58

Just sent a message to everyone as a reminder for tomorrow's venue. Carrie sorry - I meant to delete you as I know you can no longer make it.
Mom are you joining us? Haven't heard from you for a while. Hope all is ok.

LinusDKD · 11/10/2013 11:05

How pretty is this

I have pinned it to my S/S 14 wishlist Blush

OneLittleLady · 11/10/2013 11:08

Very pretty indeed linus too much frill and too high a neckline for me though.

Have started prepping everything I need tomorrow. Might even have to get the iron out which is such a rare occurrence that I'm not even sure where the iron actually is Blush

LinusDKD · 11/10/2013 11:12

And these Drool!

I think it will only suit very slim people one (i.e. not me) but I still want it!

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2013 11:12

Thanks Shop looking forward to it!

Linus your breakfast sounds delicious.

Ds2 and I are having a very relaxed day. He has been playing lots at nursery and I have been working quite hard (not long hours, but the thinking part!) so we are taking it easy together. Lovely!

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2013 11:13

Marant is a great designer. Love her SS stuff Linus

OneLittleLady · 11/10/2013 11:18

That's what I figured linus I love the colour of it though. If i could find something in a similar colour I'd be happy as I think it would bring out my eyes. I have a very similar coloured eyeshadow and that really brings out the colour of my eyes, as does purple (have blue and green eyes)

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2013 11:44

Dry I misread your post yesterday. For some reason I thought your boss was in your car, crying Blush. Anyway I hope you are feeling better today lovely.

shopafrolic · 11/10/2013 12:43

Skips in - after last week crying all through his swimming class, DS looked at me today in the water, with a huge grin on his face and announced "THIS IS GREAT FUN!!" and yes, he did shout!
We're off to the theatre this afternoon to see StickMan so I will then feel I have been a good mummy and am entitled to my day of frivolity tomorrow. Must not think about DH left in charge of DS and keeping house tidy for viewings! Hmm

shopafrolic · 11/10/2013 12:44

GAH! Why does it always rain on MU day? Weather looks lousy....

OneLittleLady · 11/10/2013 12:59

It's rained every single time I've been to London, I don't think I'd feel like I was really going if it didn't rain Grin

foxysocks · 11/10/2013 14:00

just back from lunch and mini browse with the lovely queenc who looked fab in a boucle jacket and silver converse.

I am having stress with electricians and lighting decisions. why is it so complicated?!

what do you guys think of the baseball/sports style two-tone dresses and jumpers like this or this longer version? I REALLY like them and am seriously considering the latter.

I also might try merino tartan dress but am not sold on the burgundy colour.

sleep i absolutely love the star sweater you linked. if you order can you report back? it might be a birthday present contender for me.

Drywhiteplease · 11/10/2013 14:16

Linus that Marant frilly Lacey blouse is v v me. Not what I'd expected from her at all.
Marsha just a blip, all good now, back to normal thank god. One of my 6 yr olds asked me if James Bond was involved in the Gun powder Plot today.....love it! That cheered me up Grin
Foxy lighting is a nightmare......I just don't let myself get bogged down. I make a decision and stop looking around/thinking about it otherwise I get all confused....
shop this time tomorrow we'll be on our 4th prosecco! Grin is it v cold in London? Need to have a rummage and do nails.

Have a lovely day all of you. I'm off to LHR now and will 'speak' to you all soon. Safe trips for those of you travelling in.

foxysocks · 11/10/2013 14:23

that's exactly it dry. the problem today has been that my darling DH has not been answering my phone calls, then when he did and we agreed he would call me back he didn't. so i got home to find the decisions had been made but i didn't know about them and the guy was alrady drilling the lighting holes! arrrrrrrghhhhh.

glad you feel better today. x

and shop hurrah for happy DSs. mine has been a sweetheart this week. he lights up my life .

mig have a great time with your family, sending love to your little fighter niece. x

OneLittleLady · 11/10/2013 14:30

Safe journey mig love to your niece

I'm warning you all in advance that I will be arriving in London in a woolly hat with bear ears on it. My sister is deeply ashamed that I insist on wearing it. It may also be accompanied by my panda mittens Grin If I get lost, look out for the vaguely thirty year old woman who looks like a teenager wandering by Grin

Drywhiteplease · 11/10/2013 14:31

I have the same prob....DH always "in meetings" or on the phone, so now I make decisions and tell him. I am, after all, the project manager and enjoying the POWER!!!!

We also decided with this job (and next year's) that we aren't cutting any corners and are doing things properly and having exactly what we and not what the workmen want, this phase of our renovations will be the last big one and I want to get it right. Hence I've overestimated on all costs so DH can't whinge that I'm going crazy

Not sure about London Dry but it was 9 degrees in Herts yesterday - a bit warmer today but blustery and wet. Says 12 degrees in town tomorrow.
