We'll be doing mornings Anni 15 hours a week. Our nursery is closed on a Weds so it'll be Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Friday 9-1 (we'll pay for an hour)

libertychick · 10/10/2013 16:36

Anni it's good choice to have! Everything totally oversubscribed around here - DH filled in the forms today and was told not to hold his breath! Priority to kids with medical needs etc and then siblings. There is a Catholic one (no hope as we never go to church) and another one in the 'ahem' rougher end of the patch which she's just not attending! Private looms methinks - better start saving - or going to Mass - hmmmm is weekly Mass worse than having no money to spend on clothes?????

Decameron · 10/10/2013 17:01

DD1 did mornings, Anni, I liked it as she was fresher and in good form, and DD2 was a baby and still napped in the mornings. If the weather was inclement, I didn't feel that I had to take them out in the afternoons as she had been busy in the mornings.

Liberty, I looked at the Catholic schools here for nursery/reception but you had to show two years regular attendance at Mass so didn't bother applying (and luckily our local state school is outstanding and had a great nursery), hopefully not the same criteria in your area.

Ordered a pink M by MJ Natasha bag (on sale at Nordstroms), grey Hush t-shirt and pink Ice watch from Brandalley earlier, in a bit of a pink mood.

OneLittleLady · 10/10/2013 17:17

DS went to a small, private nursery and he did mornings as well so that we had afternoons free to do other things like go to the park, collect leaves and race his remote control cars Grin

Annianni · 10/10/2013 18:18

Thanks everyone, that's what I was thinking.

He should get priority to get in, as Ds1 will still be there.
I'll ask tomorrow if they've got any spaces for the term after he turns 3.

There is another school the same distance away that has a good reputation too.

LinusDKD · 10/10/2013 18:31

Evening!

What a day! Both DC were moany, whiney and clingey so I spent most of the day with one or both on my lap or in my arms.

To be fair, DD had a temp yesterday at nursery and she woke up at 4 this moring with a temp again but I think DS was just jealous of the attention and medication DD was getting.

It is getting quite chilly here as well so today I wore skinnies with the
James Perse longsleeved tee I bought in the Asos sale (not sure about the colour) and a black cashmere ballet wrap DM bought for me years ago but that I hardly ever wear. Oh and my J. Choo bikers which must be the most comfortable boots on earth.

BrandyAlexander · 10/10/2013 18:59

Hello! Houses are all sorted!

Current house is going to be sold to highest bidder recouping all the money we have spent on the house since we bought it.

We have insurer for new house so will now exchange on Monday. Yippee! Fingers crossed for Shop.

Sleep, yes I think/hope dh will stop moaning about money when the sale goes through. He is v conservative and so a mortgage for 7 figs is freaking him out.

Congratulations Mig!

Drywhiteplease · 10/10/2013 19:48

Right had a quick read.....apologies if I've missed anything

Penis dunking?Shock that explains why I couldn't get on. Must read up sounds fab!!!!Grin

dry have a G&T on me, sounds like you need one!

novice excellent news! I bet you are so excited!

shop you have found a house??!!

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 20:15

Oh no no. Haven't started looking yet. Novice is wishing me the same luck for selling ours........ I don't dare start looking until we're under offer.

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 20:28

Good idea Shop. Mmm hmmm

Novice well done! That is record time. Now you know what's next don't you, get the Valentinos to celebrate Grin

Dry poor you, hope you're ok. I like upbeat people. I am one most of the time Grin.

Linus Choo boots sound perfecto.

Decam do you have links? All sounds fab.

Anni mornings yes, then if it's horrible weather you won't feel bad about staying as lots as happened already.

Mignonette brave and good move. You should do more writing. But if you do make sure you stay on here too.

Liberty great work on the compliments whilst trying on, very early in the game. Good one.

Sleep I love that sweater, lovely colour.

QueenC lovely birthday list.

Anni love your Christmas list.

Today has vastly improved after a great work email. Good stuff!

(I went back through that message and made myself take out 4 !)

OneLittleLady · 10/10/2013 20:34

really looking forward to Saturday now. After lunch and then visiting CyberCandy for DS, I will be off to hunt out new make up and pjs. May also pick up a few christmas bits if I see anything on my list Grin

Decameron · 10/10/2013 21:11

Really like the sound of Linus' Choo boots too.

Sorry you had a tough day at work, Dry. Hopefully your boss will go work with Mig's former colleague!

Well done on sorting out work, Marsha. This is the bag, more for summer, liked it when I saw it on NAP but didn't buy it in time. I don't mind the lining. This tee from Hush, bit boring but a good basic. Also this watch for another dash of pink! Now no more shopping until I get my refunds.

Great news about the houses, Novice.

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 21:14

Lost my post GAH!
Linus boots sound lush, hope you have a better night tonight
Dry hugs for you. It must have been the day for tears, I cried in front of DS' teacher after another rubbish nursery drop off. I hate people seeing me cry......
Novice so pleased house stuff is sorted - great news. The number of zeros on the mortgage would make my knees go a little weak! Celebratory drink on Saturday?
Marsha did the Marant warm you up?
Sleep love that jumper. I'm still lusting after this Ganni

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 21:23

Oh Shop hard drop offs are so miserable for everyone. You poor things. It took ages for ds1 to get used to it, and the only thing that kept me going at the time was thinking I'm not starting from scratch again!

Gorgeous Ganni jumper.

Decam I love that shopping. Think it reflects my mood. Candy pink!

Yes the Marant was just the ticket. But not sure the Theory jumper is good under it, you know when jumpers have lowish sleeves and it gets a bit bunched up .

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 21:28

Hate that sleeve thing Marsha my Reiss knit always bunches up if I wear a coat this one

libertychick · 10/10/2013 21:30

Marsha well done on the work email - you'll have to tell all on Saturday. BTW I am really hoping you wear the Marant coatigan as well as the boots! not that I want to dictate your outfit to you

One good to have a plan for the day - I still haven't made my plan - would like to get to Cos I think, maybe a Hobbs...

Poor you Dry. Hope you are feeling better now. Flowers

I was in Park Royal today so decided to go to the Boden shop - their sizing is v strange - trousers slightly tight in a 12 but enormous in 14 etc. I looked frumpy in everything I tried and got a bit depressed with it all - might be time to start the happy pills again Grin. Accessories looked good though - this bag is great in every colourway although the dalmatian print is my favourite. This bag also lovely especially in red. Loved these leopard heels that Eve Wornout has been wearing and Amber's pink desert boots

Decameron · 10/10/2013 21:31

That Ganni jumper is gorgeous, Shop. Drop offs are hard when they are little, I bet he has a great time two minutes after you leave.

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 21:33

He does Decam! And when I pick him up I have to drag him away he's having such a good time.

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 21:40

Marsha good tip, I'll keep that front of mind. Nursery are being ace too.
Liberty I used to get that whenever I tried Boden (years back) - has put me off trying again....

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 21:43

That's good Shop. Ds2 has four days at home in a row and usually wants to stay with me on first day of week back. But when I pick him up he is really enjoying it, playing with all the toys and friends.

Liberty lovely Boden stuff. Really love the leopard shoes and Chelsea boots.

I have a feeling I'll be swathed in the entire Liberty clothes shop on Saturday! Grin

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 21:48

Have no clue what to wear. Will decide that morning in a state of panic whilst doing a rapid house tidy and legging it out of the house to catch my train. I so need this haircut!

mignonette · 10/10/2013 21:50

Aw Dry and Shop I'm sorry today was bad for you. Flowers and Cake for you both from me.

Marsha Glad to hear that work is going well for you and lucrative for the next few months I hope.

Novice Great great news re your house. It is good that you have smooth progress to send you on your way on your business trips.

I love the Ganni sweater and Decams MJ bag.

Liberty A great choice of stuff there from you. That little leather bag is super neat and very very versatile. I have these leopard print calfskin Desert boots from Clarks here and adore them. I don't wear them often as they do dominate outfits but when I do they make me feel really happy. I know what you mean about seeing a reflection in the mirror that is more reflective of your mood than of your real physical presence. This transitory weather and light doesn't help either -so dark in the mornings.
