Epic fail with the scarf Marsha ! :)
It is sooooo cold - 7 degrees when I dropped DS at nursery. I've had to call the head as am having problems with DS constantly saying he doesn't want to go and yet two minutes after I leave he is fine. She is fab and has given me some good techniques to deal with the situation......
House is being advertised in the local press today so fingers crossed for some more viewings this weekend. I need Novice's buying luck to rub off on me. Hope everything goes through ok Novice and that it isn't too stressful.
I totally know what you mean about work stuff taking up too much headspace even when not working Marsha - another reason why I know I will struggle with part time work - I'm an all or nothing type.

Sleepwhenidie · 10/10/2013 09:50

It is definitely cold here today too. I have my snuggly north face mossbud fleece on. Just grabbing pre-kickboxing coffee Smile.

Great news about the house Novice! Does this mean DH will be a little more chilled about your shopping? Smile

Marsha...you mean you are working to pay for something other than clothes Shock? DH is already planning how I am going to earn enough in my new career to cover all the school fees - I was a bit wha..? Shock Hmm, it's not going to be just for handbags? Grin

Dry I feel your pain on building work, we had the same thing. Found a few empty beer bottles in the wall cavity when it was broken open at one point in our renovations!

I am thinking leather trousers for Saturday...and possibly fur coat, given the freezing wind today Smile.

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 09:56

Shop I know argh (scarf). Love epic fail though Grin

Yes it's tricky. I'm not keen on part time but you know this industry, fixed part time days don't usually work so well. And am not sure I would enjoy it as much. I dislike missing out on things. I am available any day really and like being there for most decisions. But full time just takes over and you also know how the hours people work ft and that's not really worth it.

I think this might be the best way for me but still, it does sort if take hold of one's mind.

Good luck with the house. Novice charm to you Flowers

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 10:00

Oh god Sleep I know! I feel that too. I think of all the things I could get with those school fees and have to have a stern think about things Grin

We do need new flooring that might be my remit, boo.

The nursery fees are big too. But it is very lovely so I try and concentrate on that.

Our dc cost us a fortune. and I might be doing it for the cute socks. Joke

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 10:05

We got a decision in principle on the mortgage for new place yesterday - DH was asking if I could shave £250 pm off my allowance!? Hmm

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 10:10

Oh Shop. I'm shaking my head and saying mm mm on your behalf.

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 10:15

Am going home quickly to get the Marant. Am too cold!

foxysocks · 10/10/2013 10:24

it's so cold! cashmere, skinnies, uggs for SR. will switch into other footwear once it warms up, i promise fashionistas.

sleep I am so jealous of your zadig fur, i adore it but DH would go crackers. atm I can only buy one sub £50 item per month appaz

as the boden dress went back this morning I've ordered these tweed shorts to try. bit more than I wanted to spend but if they are lovely will be worth it.

I also need to think of some birthday/christmas present ideas for me. again not too spendy, we are on a strict budget. what would you ask for? am thinking a scarf, a bracelet, cashmere gloves or hat, a dress or jumper.

novice hope the insurance can get sorted out.

queenc looking forward to lunch! and leading you astray in the lovely shops

shop good luck with your house stuff today

dry glad yours is looking good. I am just SO RELIEVED the mud through my house seems to have abated for now. they are building floor joists today, don't mind sawdust, at least it's 'clean' mess. and it smells nice!

Annianni · 10/10/2013 10:24

Shop Shock

Dh tried knocking £50 off mine recently, saying he thought that's what it was (the lower amount) yeah right

It's been really cold up here, these past couple of days.
I actually did some ironing yesterday, as a way to warm up! :o

I'd love to use your services Sleep.
I'll put you on my Christmas list for dh!

Ds2's new double bed is due later. Fingers crossed it works and we get our bed back.

Annianni · 10/10/2013 10:27

Ditto what Foxy said ^^
I love your fur Sleep Envy

foxysocks · 10/10/2013 10:30

pmsl at putting sleep on your christmas list! I would add marsha and shop too, you know, just for hanging out and drinking champagne.

MarshaBrady · 10/10/2013 10:39

Ha Foxy any time!

Good one Anni just write Sleep- from Mn. That'll make him think.

OneLittleLady · 10/10/2013 11:10

Hmmm, i just weighed myself and according to the scales, my weight hasn't moved at all BUT my jeans are loose on me which they were definitely not before. I suppose it's possible they've just stretched a bit but I'm going with me getting smaller. Even if it's a lie, it's one I need right now so I am going to sit feeling smug in my now loose jeans.

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:23

Anni I've just been ironing for warmth too! Grin and wore UGGS on the school run (epic fail Marsha)
And to Marsha Flowers for the most Vogue-like comment we've had in weeks. I salute you x

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:24

Foxy I'm honoured

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:25

Some FAB Wang skirts on you know where this morning.......

RubyLovesShopping · 10/10/2013 11:30

Shop I've just been browsing the wang items, considering the chunky knit jumper in navy, another grey jumper and a few jersey basics.
Freezing here too, took the dog for walk on the beach after the school run and wished I had put a hat on!

RubyLovesShopping · 10/10/2013 11:32

And if it stays this cold I need a pea coat very very soon!

OneLittleLady · 10/10/2013 11:32

I've finally settled on something to wear for saturday. Going with my grey Biba dress, red faux suede ankle boots and my black (mostly) wool coat. Had a mammoth trying session last night and that's what I settled on eventually.

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:34

And some gorgeous See by Chloe chunky knits

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:34

Ooo link if you buy Ruby there really are some great things today

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:36

I am in love with this McQ scarf but there is no way I can justify the ££. It's my birthday in a month, but DH has already bought me the Vince. It would look so good with my peacoat

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:37

There's a great Michael Kors peacoat type coat with brass buttons too

Annianni · 10/10/2013 11:48

Dear dh Father Christmas

I have been a very good girl this year, so please may I have...

A new car
A lovely watch
Botox
A cross body bag
Sleep from mnv
Cashmere wrist warmers
Tom Ford perfume
Nice smelly candles
A huge snood
Shop and Marsha and fizz
A new purse
Lots of wardrobes before I go insane
A new kitchen
A navy cashmere sweater

Thanks Grin

shopafrolic · 10/10/2013 11:52

The gold sweatshirt has arrived - I have no make up on and look like shit so have no idea if it suits or not. I think the side splits make it look too big and am not sure about the seam across the bust. Will put make up on and post pics later.
Not sure about the bangle either - yet again the 'ponyskin' isn't glued on too well - but for £20 I'm wondering if I care.......
