Is there ANYTHING nice in Next?

I'm in dire need of some new clothes & have a Next account that I can use. I've not bought anything from there for ages at it all just seemed a bit meh last time I looked.

Is there anything decent in there? In particular I'm looking for black leggings with tummy covering, skinny jeans (high rise if poss) and perhaps some ankle boots & going out tops. I'm a 10/12 (well 10 in Next sizing)

I have their relaxed skinny jeans too, and I also love them.

I used to buy all my jeans from Next, they were always perfect length for me. No more and also the sizes are ridiculously big all of a sudden. The relaxed skinnies were the only ones that fitted me. They are really comfy and flattering.

I get a lot of stuff for the DS' in the sale but I never get any tops in the sale for me. Have some quite nice house stuff just now.

No, nothing good in Next. High rise jeans turn into baggy mum jeans.

plentyofsoap · 27/09/2013 18:28

I have ordered a v neck black jumper from their autum collection. Its not fitted as I wanted a baggy ish one. It was 28 pound. I am pregnant so I wanted one for after the birth. This is my defence.

I got this. It's lovely and will look good with skinnies and boots when it's colder. Have to say not much else inspired me.

If have always found their skinniest go very big...I have bought them for the Tall collection
I got the Xmas catalogue yesterday and saw something diabolical in the home wear section....a pair of angel wings for the wall.(can't link on iPad)
They are truly vile.........

SundaySimmons · 27/09/2013 18:40

Just to back up my post that next are crap

Just to add to my intense dislike of Next, some of the models wearing the knitwear are sporting sunglasses. Presumably so as to not be recognised wearing such hideous outfits.

BetsyBidwell · 27/09/2013 18:45

Lol at Angel wings

home stuff is the HOME of twigs n pebbly shit

AGree a lot of next is shit but they carry a HUGE range. INcluding the odd blush shade mentioned below.

To dismiss all of it , though, is a bit blinkered.

dexter73 · 27/09/2013 18:47

The thing is Sunday, you could post a grim piece of clothing from any shop so it isn't just next that sell horrible clothes. Just to back up my point - Horrible and expensive!

SundaySimmons · 27/09/2013 18:49

"Wow! You look great in that".

Said no one ever.

Dexter, that monstrosity looks like you went out out and got your mum to babysit and when you got back you discovered that grandma had got your favourite and most expensive jumper and told the children, "mummy won't mind if you decorate this old thing!"

BetsyBidwell · 27/09/2013 18:52

ANyone lost a bit of nettings?

dexter73 · 27/09/2013 19:29

Do you know what, my mum would have done exactly that and then been surprised that I wasn't pleased with the lovely jumper. She wouldn't have done it with one of her own jumpers though (unresolved mother issues!).

Flibbertyjibbet · 27/09/2013 19:49

I went in next the other week and was a bit disoriented wondering why the men's was on the ground floor.

Then I realised it was actually the women's, all grey, brown and denim. UGH!!

FellatioNelson · 27/09/2013 19:52

No. Not for the last ten years, anyway.

littlemisswise · 27/09/2013 20:00

I bought a nice top in there the other week, it's leopard print but instead of being black and white, or beige and brown it is beige and navy. It's gone from the website though which is a shame because it is cut well, slightly longer at the back to cover your bum a bit.
