A happy and safe place to talk fashion (from high end to high street), beauty and the arts. All welcome to bring a positive state of mind, lots of links and an eye for detail.

I think loose trousers will be around big time next spring. Plenty of them on the runway in neutrals-lots of creams, coffees and pastels.

I have always loved Sailor pants and do you remember those linen drawstring pants that were really fashionable around 1992-4? I wore those w/ a tiny shrunken CK T shirt and thought I looked all that.

Morning!

Welcome MrsS, I am following you on pin as well. And I agree, nice bags!

sleep those kimonos are gorgeous. The website doesn't mention where (or whether) they are for sale. But I can imagine them being £££.

I have an cotton kimono style dressing gown bought in Thailand and DH always says I look good when I wear it. I love the style, but I think I bought the wrong colours for me so I only wear it occasionaly.

dry good luck to your DH today!

marsha it took me ages to realise, but when I decided in my late twenties that I could not change who DM is, it made life so muche easier and our relationship a lot better. But it's not easy sometimes, is it. Flowers

Oh Marsha I'm a bit late with this! but it's tough with parents isn't it? I do a lot of deep breathing and counting to ten when ours visit!

Shall I? shall I?

Burberry Little Crush Bag.

And a close up Here.

There's all kinds of permutations in animal prints too- giraffe, cow, leopard plus mega pricey Python but I have lost my heart. They come in big and small.

Sorry Mig not for me. It's the print. Ever since Harry from 1D wore his mum's shirt, and Alexa et al had the clutch at LFW.......

Yes I Know that Alexa had it Sad. Have you seen the other prints and styles?

Thanks everyone Thanks so nice. At least I'm home and didn't fly across the world to feel rotten (that long flight loads up expectation too).

Mig I think it could work with your style. I love that Stella suit, really nice.

Sorry Mig didn't mean to sound harsh. It was a cute print - I just struggle when you see things everywhere and know they'll be massively copied, it rather takes the shine off. Will take a look at other prints this afternoon.......

shop have reported you to DD.... She's no 1 1D fan and you've dissed Harry's style (see what I did there?) she'll be coming to get youGrin
Who would have guessed that rugby mummies are so chic? Shock off to tour the pitches to do fashion recce watch DS play !!! Lovely day to be outside though tweed jacket, bf jeans, gazelles, cross body bag

Shop you weren't harsh. No offence taken Smile.

My reservations are about the Alexa association and the fact that there'll be copies everywhere. Then again, there are copies of my Mulberry's everywhere too but the real thing is obvious in the flesh. Also it may be too young for me and I have had issues w/ calf hair wearing rather badly, getting eroded shiny patches.

Hmmmm Hmm. Unsure WTD.

(((marsha))). parental stuff is SO hard isn't it? I don't know how to safeguard my own relationship with my children against this stuff.

shop the cos dress is more SS, but I may be able to style into AW with tights and thermal layers, you are right.

mig I couldn't carry that bag off but I think you could.

talking of thermal layers.... which ones do you guys rate? I have been looking at uniqlo, and also the fleece lined opaques from JL. boring but necessary purchases I fear.

has anyone bought from jack wills?! it seems it's not all logoed hoodies, have seen a sweater and a dress I might like to try on. does anyone know what the quality is like?

Foxy I think you can safeguard your relationship with dc by making the relationship about their needs, not yours. So that they feel able to flourish as people with intrinsic worth, rather than with the weight of parental expectation.

As with all parenting things, easier said than done, of course. There are some good books on that kind of thing, the "how to listen so kid will talk" one gets a lot of good reviews on here.

I like the quirkiness of the bag Mig. Can "see" you with it.

Novice hope you and dh are able to resolve things soon. Great letter from the school.

Sleep I hope you are coping with the DC, find it hard when I am looking after the dc solo especially bedtime.

AW I still have a few things I am keen to get. Have just ordered some coated jeans from MnS (won't link as they look hideous on the website but have good reviews). I also want to get some calf length black boots for wearing with skirts and some tops in my best colours.

As well as that I also want to get some hi tops (veja) and taupe spirals.

Shame about your jalouse Queen but I agree they were too distressed.

One having a shop for yourself post MU sounds like a good idea.

Dry kudos to your dh!

Dry hope your DH lands safely, brave man.

Good advice about making it about their needs, MrsR, you are a wise woman!

MrsS, lovely bags. I have that pale blue DVF top, I love it.

I like the bag, Mig.

One, take care, sorry about the drumming but hope you heal well.

Didn't make it out so annoyed but have been promised next Sat off to meet a few A&Wers and ordered these leopard print heels from Boden, slightly mollified now. But not admitting it yet. Grin

We've seen another house so you never know!

Morning all from heathrow T5. Travel dress today - very dress down as long flight! Black North face fitted fleece over desigual rainbow top, banana republic beige skinny cords, KG ballet pumps. Varying degrees of bling including my hermes watch and balenciaga bag. Dh and I didn't super make up but at least are talking. Huge huge hugs to Marsha, am thinking of Sleep today (my dh is in same position) and hello and warm welcome to MrsSheep.

Morning all.

dry here's to an uneventful landing, absolutely rather him than me (terrified of heights).

mrs sheep welcome! am about to follow you on pin.

mig I want to like the bag but I have a thing about drawstrings. Sorry :(

And big news today. I've only bloody gone and ordered an Aigle Cuckmere [cartwheels around the room]. I'd been secretly pinning best prices, and last night revisited the best, to find ALL had put their prices up or sold out in my size. In a panic I've bought from Amazon so I know I can return, plus, as a Prime member, I'll get it tomorrow for free!

I did try on a nice alternative in Tommy Hilfiger yesterday, and they gave me excellent service, so if the Cuckmere's no good, I think I'll go back there.

liberty just seen you've been in bath this weekend. I was in town yesterday, absolutely HEAVING!! Haven't seen it that busy for a long time, but loads of freshers arrived yesterday, so with the families too, numbers definitely swelled. Hope you've had a lovely time. Bath is lovely for shopping, but is still a bit needy, and doesn't compare to london. Some nice small indy shops though.

Have a good flight Novice

Has MrDry landed yet Hmm - brave man!

I am still in pj's, as are DC's Blush. Currently they are arguing because 2 older ones want to go to the cinema and youngest wants the dinosaur museum Hmm. Need to mobilise but feeling very lazy and it a bit of a grey day Sad.

Mig I like the bag Smile

Marsha you are clearly not alone with the parental thing???I have similar issues with my DM, I have for to the point where I now expect nothing from her so anything positive is a bonus and see/spend time with her on my terms, have given up putting myself out Sad.

I think the bag is lovely Mig. I went to Prada and think that's my next bag. I am attracted to the idea of a black bayswater for travelling if I have to take my laptop but those trips are less frequent. I only have mine today as I haven't written the speech I am giving tomorrow!Shock

Sleep, pj days are good. Ds wouldn't still enough for that sadly so they're out in the garden while dh is doing a Sunday roast.

Grin One, have fun!

After chat about bags and laptops I just dug out my beloved old work briefcase/bag, it's Tanner Krolle, gorgeous charcoal grey cashmere under the holes. I have pinned it to the board, would you guys use it for more casual stuff or do you think it is too work-ish? Confused

Thanks Foxy and Sleep hugs to you too. It did cross my mind that it might be because they are boys. But who knows.

Novice safe journey.

Carrie excellent re the Aigle! I've heard great things about them.

MrsSheep am following you too, you have lovely clothes.

I tried the Sessun coat again. I think if I get over the fact it is more coat than pea in length I could love it. It's very good quality for the price.
