DETTOL? Op youre FRICKING nuts

Screwfox · 15/09/2013 07:09

Plus it's should "have". red pen

Rooners · 15/09/2013 07:21

I think it were the dettol what caused the fungal nails, in the first place.

SubliminalMassaging · 15/09/2013 07:24

Dettol? DETTOL?

WTF?

catinboots · 15/09/2013 07:25

Dettol in the bath is the shizzle. Just a capful. You'll be the cleanest you've ever been.

I've been banging on about dettol baths on here for years. I got the tip from an e. boyfriend - he was a South African sheep farmer Grin

SubliminalMassaging · 15/09/2013 07:25

Oh I see the dettol question has been done to death - well quite right too, what an appalling and alarming suggestion. Shock

Anyway my best most recent change according to MN S&B law is sulphate free shampoo. It's made such a difference.

catinboots · 15/09/2013 07:26

Ex boyfriend

SubliminalMassaging · 15/09/2013 07:26

I don't have any sheep farming related parasites though and I get clean enough as it is thanks!

Screwfox · 15/09/2013 07:26

DETTOL. No. I don't want to be antiseptic.

Rooners · 15/09/2013 07:29

What is suphate free shampoo please? (brand name will do)

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/09/2013 07:29

bra lady waves. ..look at the fitting info on thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk and post measurements

Roshbegosh · 15/09/2013 07:30

I have spent a fortune since joining MN. Kettlewell t shirts, woolovers everything, white stuff skirts, salt rock rain coats, all these websites I had never heard of and so so many recommendations along the way for clothes, shoes, cosmetics that I went ahead and bought I have lost count. Then the gadgets like water pik, pedi thingy, that clairisonic thing, etc etc definitely into thousands of pounds but I love it all.

Rooners · 15/09/2013 07:30

also you can't call it a loolah, that's the name of a PRAM

Lizzabadger · 15/09/2013 07:31

I sort of want to try the dettol as I'm covered in gardening and DIY scrapes. Will it really cause bacterial vaginosis?

ThePuffyShirt · 15/09/2013 07:35

My mum puts Dettol in the bath. It is weird imo.

Screwfox · 15/09/2013 07:35

It's a vagina you prim weirdos

Chubfuddler · 15/09/2013 07:42

Can someone explain the Vicks on nails thing please (so I can assess if that is also odd)?

gindrinker · 15/09/2013 08:07

Lizza - you don't need to disinfect cuts. As long as you've washed in with plain water to get the mud out your immune system will deal with it.

Nishky · 15/09/2013 08:21

The Vicks thing- just Vicks vapour rub on nails then?

TiredyCustards · 15/09/2013 08:31

You'd put dettol in a newborn's bath?

RockMummy · 15/09/2013 08:42

Lots of things too:
Got my colours done and abandonned black, sulphite free-shampoo, Kettlewell tops/skirts,Woolovers jumpers/cardies,Levi's curve i.d jeans, read fashion blogs, discovered Balance me products through a Glossy box sample, Boots Curl cream (cheaper/better than the brand name products), drink warm water first thing in the morning,
plan to do the Vicks thing to toe nails once the winter in here, look in different shops now too.
It's cost me a fortune!

CatsWearingTutus · 15/09/2013 08:56

I started using Aldi Lacura products (the fake ysl touche éclat and the day and night creams for mature skin). And i use the rimmel 25 hour foundation applied with a foundation brush. They're excellent and I may be the only one who has saved money by following MN advice!

I've also stopped buying and wearing per una- I quite like it but know I have terrible taste in clothes Blush. No one is getting me to stop the lands end, though.

NotAsTired · 15/09/2013 09:12

I haven't heard about the dettol in the bath for years and years. I used to do that when I was younger. A capful is not going to make a difference to your flora Grin.

But hair and shampoo question here. Sulphate free shampoo - brand name please!

S&B has certainly made a difference in terms of what I aspire to. Don't always get there, but the intention is there.

27cats · 15/09/2013 09:54

I've ditched Clinique skin products in favour of La Roche Posay, which has saved money. Also discovered Lily Lilo make up. Smile
