HelgatheHairy · 01/09/2013 07:31

It's 115 days to Christmas Eve!

You can use this thread exactly like you were using the previous thread to keep track of what you're doing, have lists, ask advice etc. As its about renovation rather than strictly beauty, nothing is off limits so beauty, clothes, exercise, healthy eating.

So here we go!

like that-arggghhhh

Rummikub · 20/09/2013 22:19

I love primark, but avoid going in as its so easy to spend. I am after a black jumper or 2 to complete my outfits list. I have a black skirt with daisies on and a red mini so thinking a black jumper would go with. Unless anyone has other suggestions...

Lucysmam, that's what I was thinking when I bought it! It's lovely toasted.

Rummikub · 20/09/2013 22:20

Grin blue!

95 days to go

We've decided not to go for it; winter is slow here so chances as our house would be empty and we would be paying £1000 rent on top of mortgage! We will look again in the spring. We are sad but it is the sensible thing to do.

Today I'll do my Callanetics. Also will do face pack (I have the elemis trienzyme one I love, it tingles and skin feels so soft), full body exfoliate and Epsom salts bath.

Need to clean the house too, we have a photographer coming tomorrow to take pictures of us and the boys. I have no nice pictures of me with both so I'm looking forward to it!

lucysmam · 21/09/2013 07:56

Good morning everyone Smile

I've just been flicking through pinterest in bed....does anyone here do any diy treatments? I can't justify spending much on an eyelash conditioner so was going to maybe have a look for a diy one...any thoughts?

Karbea · 21/09/2013 08:28

Asos sells some primark stuff so worth looking there as they deliver :)

I've been up all night with the dog he's had diarehea and sickness.

Les Mis was excellent!

My Atterley Road order has just arrived, will try it all on in a bit, still need to find some new jeans.

I'm shattered!

Blueandwhitelover · 21/09/2013 09:16

trying to do just one post- have we got a fb group
if so could someone pm me the details

lucysmam · 21/09/2013 09:29

Blueandwhite, if you pm me your name & I add you on fb I think I'd then be able to add you to fb group....I think Confused (my brain doesn't understand this technical stuff)

Morning routine done here barring getting dressed - in my defence I have tidied the kitchen and bathroom and am on my second wash load though Grin I'm off up to check the kids rooms for stray washing and bits shortly so will get dressed then.

ControlGeek · 21/09/2013 10:33

blueandwhite your multi posts really did make me chuckle! Have pm'd you but just seen lucysmam's post so you may already be in!

JemimaM Have you tried the Garnier tinted eye roll-on? I use that when I look like death warmed up and it works a treat. Just dab it on, and blend with your finger.

lucysmam I am Shock at the family wanting a takeaway after you have cooked lasagne!

smiling well done for doing as much as you have, sounds like you've had a lot on your plate. I love the idea of a shred support group, it might just be what I need to help me stick to it that, and I told DP at his diabetic review yesterday that for each night that he does his physio exercises I will do the shred

rummi not to try and tempt you or anything, but primark have a few black jumpers in at the mo... Grin

bigkids oh what a hard decision for you! £1k would be a lot to pay out in rent on top of the other outgoings and mortgage though. Hopefully something just as perfect will come along in the spring for you. Good luck with the photographer.

karbea ewww that's a lovely start to your weekend then. Was it the film of Les Mis you saw, or the stage show? I love Les Mis.

Hot lemon water done here, dressed in fab new Peacocks clothes for my trip to the hairdresser, which really wasn't that scary! She's levelled things up a bit but my shortest layers were longer than I thought so she's just blended them in with my new shorter length for now, and done some work on my front layers which I want to keep. Feels like loads of weight has gone off it! Will put a colour on later as I've noticed my greys are really starting to show through now that I've let my roots get darker again. Will try to remember to take off and re-do my nail varnish later. AF is now three days late, so not quite so optimistic for a Tuesday start to my shred now. Will see how I feel then I think.

My cold is on its way out (hopefully) but migraine is lingering a bit. Co-codamol is keeping it at bay, but feeling too sluggish to do anything other than a bit of cross stitch. So much for attacking the garden!

petalsandstars · 21/09/2013 10:53

Ooh coco style day sounds like fun, I'd like to do something like that when I can leave the baby for longer than a couple of hours.

Have bare nails today and will try to repaint later this evening in an autumnal colour.

Rummikub · 21/09/2013 11:14

Geek, hmm tempting me to a primark excursion. Wish they would put them on retail parks too, not just town centres. Then I could get my haul to the car quick! Makes me chuckle seeing shoppers come out laden with several huge primark bags. Is it impossible to come out with one thing?

I moisturised face and body last night. Will start to get ready sooner Than I do normally.

Lucysmam, eyelash treatment? What does that do?

JemimaMuddledUp · 21/09/2013 15:14

We don't have Primark here so I very rarely go there. I'm not even sure where our nearest branch is, probably Shrewsbury which is 2hrs away.

Ta Da
Been to the hairdresser to get my hair trimmed, and booked my next appointment for 6 weeks from today
Bought some Rimmel base coat and top coat for my nails. I went for two separate ones as (a)they were buy one get one half price in Superdrug and (b)the base coat is supposed to fill the ridges so does more than a single top and base coat would.

I massaged some Vitamin E oil into my face last night and my skin is less dry and flaky this morning (apart from around my nose where it looks dire from blowing it so much). The bags under my eyes are still there though, I will check out that Garnier roll on next time I am in town. Or alternatively just get some sleep...

IsThatTrue · 21/09/2013 15:15

Hi I've read through the whole of this thread over the last 4 days and really want to join!

I need some peace and quiet later to work out my 20. But recently I've started looking at wearing outfits rather than clothes. Trawling charity shops for nice bargains.

Having a skin are routine (which started as just washing my face night and morning, whereas now it includes removing make up (that I didn't wear before), washing, cleansing (removing with hot flannel), toning, moisturising and using face packs once a week.

After starting reading this thread I've made more effort to moisturise my body after a shower.

I've also started wearing makeup again. Only a bit of mascara and some benefit highlighter stuff during the day but its a start.

I've been running since June and started healthy eating in July and have since lost 45lbs, still at least 14, preferably 21lbs to go but we're heading in the right direction.

And you've inspired me to get my eyebrows threaded when next in town, they're pretty bad atm.

Nice to meet you all :)

tartiflette · 21/09/2013 15:28

Hi Isthattrue and welcome. Well done on your amazing weight loss!

Funny you should mention eyebrows, we've been having some work done on our house and had to decamp to the attic for 2 weeks. Yesterday I finally got my bedroom back, plonked myself in front of the dressing table and couldn't believe the horrifying state of my eyebrows! Turns out the light up in the attic bedroom wasnt quite up to scratch - God knows what my make up has looked like for the last 2 weeks!

Christened the new bedroom with a bath, de fuzz, moisturise and hair mask which has left my hair in much better condition. Anyone tried the Philip Kingsley yet? Will do later in the week I think.

Blueandwhitelover · 21/09/2013 18:58

thank you for adding me to the group-have had the neighbourhood wives in for lunch today so haven't had a good nosy yet to see if i can work out who is who.
hair dye to take place tomorrow-dh is not keen on me attending his neice's wedding with my hair glinting purple in the sun
wedding is in the midlands so not much chance of sun but i love him so am going mahogany brown.

ControlGeek · 21/09/2013 19:11

Hi IsThatTrue that really is amazing weight loss, well done! It took me over a year to lose a couple of pound less than you have and rather less time to start putting it back on again

blueandwhite we have some sun here in the midlands, occasionally... I'm hoping to dye my hair tomorrow too, but still sticking with golden brown for a while until my roots are longer.

AF arrived with a bang a couple of hours ago so pampering myself with an extra hot lemon water (since I can't have honey & lemon as it's a fasting day) and making cross stitch cards. About to do tea - smoky mexican stirfry with chipotle chicken. I don't like chilli heat, so it could be interesting.

IsThatTrue · 21/09/2013 19:32

Thanks for the welcome. Tonight is a night off healthy eating with wine and takeaway Thai food.

I shall make sure I do my evening routine before bed, and drink water during the evening so I don't feel crap in the morning.

JemimaPuddle · 21/09/2013 19:43

After a shaky start I managed my shopping trip!
I bought 2 jumpers and 4 pairs of super soft skinnies :)
The jumpers were £8 & £10 and the skinnies were £8 a pair!

The best news of all was I got size 12s :) after starting the year as a 16 I'm over the moon.

lucysmam · 21/09/2013 19:51

(on app again so multi posts probably Grin , sorry!)

oooh Jemima...need pics please Grin ....may have to start a small shopping list!

Control your hair's a lovely colour as it is...I didn't notice any roots on your fb pic Confused
