Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser. I think it is about £5.99 full price but is often on offer and has done wonders for my skin.

Body Shop Beautifying Oil. I use the Olive one but presume they all do the same job. A little goes a long way and although it is about £9 full price there are often codes to get it cheaper. I have really dry skin on my legs and this makes them look so much better.

I am seriously impressed with my £4.99 Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation at the mo'. Picked it up in Wilkinson's the other Saturday and it's lovely. Ditto Maybelline Eraser foundation- this is the only one I've bought twice recently.

Astral cream for my neck- had uni reunion the other week (am 47) and my girlfriends commented on my line free neck.

Have used the Collection (2000) highlighter/touché éclat thingy for years. Loads better than the YSL one as it doesn't smell like dirty dischcloths after a week. Also use their mazzie.

I am currently using (and lovely) the Dr organics coconut eye cream/wrinkle filler from Holland and Barrett- on a BOGOF or something and gets rave reviews.

JustBecauseICan · 03/08/2013 16:52

Oh, and facial oils I just buy from Naissance on Amazon. Certified organic and you aren't paying the extra £20 that you would for the nice box from the likes of Ren/Trilogy etc.

MinionDave · 03/08/2013 16:58

YY to Vaseline, brilliant for lips, eyelashes and eyebrows

I love Astral moisturiser for my skin, my face is really dry but it sorts it out. Also, some rough salt mixed with some olive oil is a great exfoliater!

SundaySimmons · 03/08/2013 17:05

Nyx lipsticks

Not NYC that is in the shops but NYX which is online.

Vibbe · 03/08/2013 17:30

Nail polish, translucent powder, some brushes and other stuff that I can't remember from Essence.
Catrice eye brow gel.

Sleek blushes (£10 for a palette with 3) - they are very pigmented so have to be careful when applying them, but they are awesome.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

YoniAsOldAsYoFeel · 03/08/2013 17:35

Another vote for Astral cream. Fantastic stuff, especially in the winter when my skin gets a bit drier.

sue52 · 03/08/2013 18:01

Aqueous cream costs next to nothing and is a brilliant make up remover.

dementedma · 03/08/2013 21:25

Another vote for L'oreal BB cream. Also love Lush Dream cream and Holland & Barrett huge tub of coconut oil.

fedupofnamechanging · 04/08/2013 14:14

Storm London perfume! About £8 on Amazon or £5.99 in B&M. It's lovely - I have spent days mooching around Selfridges trying to find scent that I love, without much success (apart from Chanel No5 and Alien). This is lovelier than those costing 5 times as much!

50shadesofmeh · 04/08/2013 14:25

Palmers cocoa butter
Collection 2000 lasting finish concealer
Rimmel wake me up foundation
St Ives apricot scrub

BerryBlast · 04/08/2013 17:00

Vaseline lip moisturiser in a little round red tin - called "Rosy Lips" - about £2.50. It gives the lips a non-sticky glossy slightly red tinge. Very good.

flossy101 · 04/08/2013 17:06

St.. Ives apricot scrub
Rimmel stay Matt powder
Barry m nail polishes
Vaseline as lip balm

RainbowBob · 04/08/2013 17:18

I was also going to rave about the Vaseline rose lip salve, but have been beaten to it. It's mega cheap, lasts for ages and gives a subtle lip gloss effect.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 04/08/2013 18:45

Aldi lacura skincare, especially the £1.99 day cream. I've tried top brands which are rubbish by comparison. ELF loose powder (the white one that is a rip off of one of the big brands). I also have a fab tube of morrisons own concentrated hand cream. It contains urea and I use it as a foot cream. It's 75p a tube and 1000% better than any footcream I've used.

Theincidental · 04/08/2013 18:54

Vaseline again and coconut oil!

Also love ro's argan body conditioner by lush. Incredible moisturiser and smells lovely.

Sudocrem for all cuts, spots, sore skin. I know a brick or that uses it on cement dusted skin too. He swears it's the only thing that eased the cracking.

Flexitol heel balm.

And double base moisturiser is also fab.

I will now try bicarbonate with my shampoo - thanks for the tip!

browneyedpixie · 04/08/2013 19:00

I rate the aldi lacura serum!

Parmarella · 04/08/2013 19:07

Best shampoo ever, to get rid of any build up is the Aussie Everyday one.

Best body scrub: body shop cocoa butter one

And Nivea body lotion, the one for dry skin in the navy blue bottle.

Seems after years of gradually buying more snd more expensive stuff I am back with the faithful no nonsense stuff of my youth :)

Amyksays · 04/08/2013 19:09

I'm loving loreal triple action night cream. I normally buy whatever is on offer at the 6 or7 pound mark and they are all pretty much the same, but this one seems different - still feel the effect in the morning!

Elsiequadrille · 04/08/2013 19:12

Maybelline nail polish (the 7 day gel brand) I'm so grateful to the person who recommended. I'd been using Essie before that. Completely converted.

Coconut oil (as hair conditioner).

chocolatespiders · 04/08/2013 19:29

W 7 Bronzer from Amazon- love the stuff. £3.00 ish with postage.

Levantine · 04/08/2013 19:31

Aldi lacura bb cream is amazing. Also MAU eyeshadow and lush angels on bare skin

chocolatespiders · 04/08/2013 19:35

In fact the whole W7 range is worth a look.

dementedma · 04/08/2013 19:36

Lush Buffy the Backside slayer is the best exfolliant ever!

Lagoonablue · 04/08/2013 19:37

Nivea. Thick and greasy but great night time moisturiser. Only ne that doe not sting my sensitive skin.
