Btw shop I should have put a Wink next to my comment because I meant it in a nice way! Reading back it sounds a bit harsh, but I really like that you get excited about new posters and that you make them feel welcome.

Morning all! Great day at Wimbledon yesterday. Great tennis, great weather and was loving my outfit the whole daySmile back to work today. I am in the studio this morning shooting a video that will be released on our website, Think I will go with navy Armani dress as you can't go wrong with that. I hope. Hmm

On the conversation on being young looking.....with make up I just about manage to look mid 20s, without I look pretty much like a teen. I go into new business meetings and people get very very confused.

Hello to all the new de-lurkers! Nice to see youSmile please tell us all about yourself and your style. The board moves fast but I just dip in at wherever the conversation has got to. Please stay!

QueenCadbury · 02/07/2013 07:38

dry after you saying about silver sandals I remembered that I had some from years ago lurking at the back of my cupboard that I'd forgotten about Blush. They're classic but maybe a little dated but look a bit 'evening' with davina. They're too high with floral as it falls above my knee and I have this weird thing that I don't like high heels with bare knees. But they'll do if I can't find anything else.

Whoever linked to those yellow ones I really like those. Looking forward to shopping with a purpose on Saturday!

Just one more question...if I go for a nude shade then what colour bag??? I only have black or navy..

Drywhiteplease · 02/07/2013 07:59

QueenC well, now you know I have matchy matchy leanings......I'd pick up a nude bag from somewhere cheap ( bought a fab, not too cheap looking nude patent envelope clutch from N Look a couple of years ago which always. Gets comments!)
But I think not matching is more modern .....navy bag with Kew dress, black with Davina in that case. But others will be better at advising than me...
And heels with knees........yes, I have to have heels to get my knees out ! Although recently they have had a brief foray with ballet flats too Grin

Shop 27 followers in one day !Shock that's impressive !

My DD just said " TBH if I was your age Hmm I'd wear clothes like yours Smile especially your leather jacket Hmm and THAT blue bag Shock".............hands off my Nancy bitch!

Drywhiteplease · 02/07/2013 08:01

P.s I love her really, quite chuffed at the compliment really .......have a good day all.

Drywhiteplease · 02/07/2013 08:03

nice another bag to consider iin my search for the perfect blk bag.
P Limm in first place so far

Drywhiteplease · 02/07/2013 08:06

"new in " but out of stock!!! Confused

shopafrolic · 02/07/2013 08:14

Turquoise which Paige skinnies did you get? Any links? Am curious to see..... I'm still v tempted......

QueenCadbury · 02/07/2013 08:14

dry I like matchy matchy too. If I go for nude I definately cannot use a black or navy bag. But when I say bag, what I really mean is sack. It needs to be big enough to hold an array of items to keep 3 dc occupied in church Grin.

MrsSheep you have to stick around now. I need to kiss you! I just got my Arty ring which had been reduced to £72 - with my store credit I picked it up for just £42. Thank you thank you....
Linus no offense taken :)

shopafrolic · 02/07/2013 08:24

And I can confirm that Novice looks incredibly young Envy

MarshaBrady · 02/07/2013 08:28

Yep I second that!

shopafrolic · 02/07/2013 08:32

www.whistles.co.uk/fcp/categorylist/dept/sale-shoes?resetFilters=true#product=903000059994 Might work with the blue QueenC?

MarshaBrady · 02/07/2013 08:33

QueenC silver sounds good. Re bag if it's big can you take and stash somewhere?

shopafrolic · 02/07/2013 08:35

Right QueenC - I'm voting for floral blue dress, Whistles black and blue Chi Chi sandals that I just linked and then you can carry a black bag?

MarshaBrady · 02/07/2013 09:00

I can't see the shoes on iPhone but like the sound of that Shop.

MarshaBrady · 02/07/2013 09:23

Novice navy Armani sounds perfect for video. Tennis sounds fabulous.

foxysocks · 02/07/2013 09:25

i ordered the rose gold arty and yellow stella m sports bra. i might be able to claim the latter, need to speak to my finance man!

MarshaBrady · 02/07/2013 10:01

Loads of pretty Erdem on the outnet. Still not cheap however. Who has a knock out Erdem dress? Linked ages ago. I can see Dry and Mignon looking fab in it and who else? Will be others, mind has gone blank.

Well done on rings Shop and Foxy.

I hear July will be very warm. Excellent!

mignonette · 02/07/2013 10:23

One My Father said the same about my educational aspirations and achievements and thought psychiatry was one step up from the commies at Essex University (which i threatened to apply to aged 17!)....You go girl!

Hi there FedUp Please stay. The good thing about this board is that you can wear and buy anything. We mix it up here. It is as much about dreams, aspirations and getting-it-wrong as anything else.

Turq Love the yellow sandals. I bought a similar pair in the Clarks sale last year here and they look very inter war worn with a droopy dress and cardigan, a look I am very fond of.

Queen I am voting for the Gap slim pants although that doesn't mean i do not like the dresses. However if we are getting a heat wave, those pants may get too hot. I would wear them with a slingback sharp toed sandal in maybe a dark silver or a bright. The bare ankle and heel will look great. Or how about these or these Roland Cartiers? these Nordstrom Renees are cute too and have a touch of 60's about them. No matter how sober a colour the clothing is, add silver shoes and it is a game changer.

Oh and today I am wearing Helmut Lang charcoal grey cigarette pants with a flat front and side pockets. I have put this Balmain dress tunic over the top and am wearing silver Sam Edelmans here. The pants are about fourteen years old and still look immaculate. I am eagerly awaiting the yellow leather Tory Burch cuff I ordered on recommendation from I think, Grumpy...Please correct me if I am wrong....

We are going to see the cat tonight. If he is not a birder, we'll take him. None of my previous cats have killed birds/mice to my knowledge bar my childhood Siamese/Burmese cross and I really would not want to deal with that if I can avoid it. we've spent so much time and money on encouraging birds into the garden and have several very very tame birds now including a Thrush who uses the stone floor in the kitchen to smash his snails on (discouraged, obviously)....

Have a lovely day everyone. DD taking me for lunch today to celebrate her promotion. She is now head Patissiere and looking to do a stage at the MIlk Bar in NYC if she can....

mignonette · 02/07/2013 10:32

Shop Love those asymmetric sandals in cream/ecru. And my head wound has pretty much healed but having to cut glue from hair roots where it has migrated to-lovely.

Marsha I adore Erdem and have some of his stuff from the early days but now too £££ for me to justify. I am loving Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Creatures of the Wind, Rag&Bone, Proenza and if i had big bucks, would shop at Rodarte. Its all about US designers currently although I have a long term love of Prada and Marni (don't we all?), Helmut Lang (my go to) and a lot of Comme. Malene Birger is perennially reliable too for wearable, durable classics.

I'm not a Cavalli, Versace, Armani wearer and find it quite bizarre that Prada, Marni and Miu Miu are also Italian designers. They are so different aren't they? Miuccia Prada and Consuello castiglione from Marni so intellectual in their designs whereas Cavalli and Versace are all about the out there-sex...

foxysocks · 02/07/2013 10:42

Can I ask some advice? Am in John Lewis they agreed to refund cobalt seam back tee, and have one left in an 8 so I could switch and give another go. But seems lots of us have had problems with them -better to take cash elsewhere?? Help!

shopafrolic · 02/07/2013 11:06

Not sure if you're still there Foxy but I would try once more but only on the condition that you can get a full refund next time if there are more problems.....
