One My Father said the same about my educational aspirations and achievements and thought psychiatry was one step up from the commies at Essex University (which i threatened to apply to aged 17!)....You go girl!
Hi there FedUp Please stay. The good thing about this board is that you can wear and buy anything. We mix it up here. It is as much about dreams, aspirations and getting-it-wrong as anything else.
Turq Love the yellow sandals. I bought a similar pair in the Clarks sale last year here and they look very inter war worn with a droopy dress and cardigan, a look I am very fond of.
Queen I am voting for the Gap slim pants although that doesn't mean i do not like the dresses. However if we are getting a heat wave, those pants may get too hot. I would wear them with a slingback sharp toed sandal in maybe a dark silver or a bright. The bare ankle and heel will look great. Or how about these or these Roland Cartiers? these Nordstrom Renees are cute too and have a touch of 60's about them. No matter how sober a colour the clothing is, add silver shoes and it is a game changer.
Oh and today I am wearing Helmut Lang charcoal grey cigarette pants with a flat front and side pockets. I have put this Balmain dress tunic over the top and am wearing silver Sam Edelmans here. The pants are about fourteen years old and still look immaculate. I am eagerly awaiting the yellow leather Tory Burch cuff I ordered on recommendation from I think, Grumpy...Please correct me if I am wrong....
We are going to see the cat tonight. If he is not a birder, we'll take him. None of my previous cats have killed birds/mice to my knowledge bar my childhood Siamese/Burmese cross and I really would not want to deal with that if I can avoid it. we've spent so much time and money on encouraging birds into the garden and have several very very tame birds now including a Thrush who uses the stone floor in the kitchen to smash his snails on (discouraged, obviously)....
Have a lovely day everyone. DD taking me for lunch today to celebrate her promotion. She is now head Patissiere and looking to do a stage at the MIlk Bar in NYC if she can....
