Gosh I love Yankee Candles One

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 21:24

F@ck that!!!! Now I'm judging Dry!!!!! :)

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 21:25

Well done Santa
I'm amazed at all the face masks going on - you must all have the skin of a 16 year old

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 21:26

Are you still feeling ok with your decision Marsha?

OneLittleLady · 01/07/2013 21:28

I apparently have the face of a 16 year old, just this morning i was asked for ID again and this particular shop was only part of the challenge 21 scheme not challenge 25. I once, I swear this is true, got asked for ID when I was buying a pair of children's safety scissors. They wouldn't sell me them because I had no ID and they were classed as bladed items Blush

Fedupnagging · 01/07/2013 21:29

Thanks for the warm welcome. Glad to hear you don't all lounge around in designer threads with perfectly coiffed hair and painted nails all the time Grin

Love wine btw drywhite!

As I am new to Pinterest, there is not a lot on my boards. Will rectify this during the summer hols but my user name is the same as MN. (Have hastily changed it from my rl name and added a picture so don't look totally useless!)

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 21:30

Yes. I was thinking back over the whole thing and remembered that the only reason I went to the interview in the first place was because it was a very short term freelance project. I just wanted to do a month or two for the £ and get out.

Then it all escalated and they changed the offer and made it all more permanent. So I feel ok because my initial feeling was just to do this thing that is ok, pays well but only for a short time.

Second time that has happened now! If I am going to take something long term then it has to be the right role.

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 21:35

Good Marsha. Follow your gut. Glad you're still in the same mind space.

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 21:38

Thanks. The only really big thing is nursery. It's booked from September and it is really good. It's so oversubscribed that if I pull out forget about getting a spot again later on. So just have to decide how many days to keep.

Drywhiteplease · 01/07/2013 21:40
Grin
QueenCadbury · 01/07/2013 21:41

one your post made me Grin. I think nobbers my become my new favourite word. Seriously, i think it's great that you're doing something that you enjoy so much. I am also a big fan of muscley arms!

Whoever said that everyone is creative, I can assure you that I am not.

fed up I'm sure when people meet me in October they'll see me for the fraud I am I.e. neither stylish or beautiful Grin.

Right then, what to wear to a christening. It's for good friends of ours, the bloke being a work colleague of dh so there will also be other work colleagues there who I've never met thank goodness I'm the designated driver so won't get pissed and embarrass myself/dh. The weather is also meant to be hot. The reason I hadn't thought too much about it before was that I was waiting to see what the weather was doing and hope that it was cold. So the choices are davina, floral or trousers. Or I also have black 7/8 trousers.

The trouble is footwear. I have flat sandals which don't go with davina and makes floral look too casual or I have black patent peeptoes which look too heavy with both. I think I probably need new sandals/shoes preferably in a neutral colour (navy/grey/stone/mole) to avoid this shoe dilemma in the future. I'm thinking wedges or low block heels. Can't find anything I like online and running out of time to order. I do however have a couple of hours shopping in Birmingham on Saturday whilst dc are at the theatre with dgp. Or do I need a new dress? Oh why oh why didn't I think sooner?

Will catch up later/tomorrow. About to stalk paris on pin and have now taken to stalking on facebook after finding one of you on there (you know who are as I've pm'd you).

Sorry marsha was ginning at shop's comment .

shopafrolic · 01/07/2013 21:47

LOve the Davina QueenC it would look fab with nude heels......besides, you'd look stupid in trousers with no top on Grin
Dry great typo - pass the gin

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 21:48

ha that's ok Dry. Gin it up.

QueenC love the Davina.

The thought of a hot July is making me even happier!

Drywhiteplease · 01/07/2013 21:49

QueenC how about silver.....goes with everything. You need to decide which outfit before you get shoes, to get shoes that will go with either dress is a tall order. The Kew is a good I between...not really smart but not too casual, see what others say though.

Drywhiteplease · 01/07/2013 21:49

Meant grinning !!!!!

santamarianovella · 01/07/2013 21:52

dry thats some gown,
queen both dresses are perfect for christening,so dont shop for new ones, shopping for shoes sounds much better, i dont do short heels its either flats or high high heels, but nude sounds good for both choices, and you are gorgeous!

MarshaBrady · 01/07/2013 21:53

And yes you can't say that because we have seen your photos remember!

AmberNectarine · 01/07/2013 21:54

I got half heartedly ID'd the other day. The bouncer asked me how old I was so I said '28' and went to get my ID out and he was like 'that's alright, love'. 10 years ago I would have been made up not to be ID'd. How times have changed.

santamarianovella · 01/07/2013 22:19

You know you have made it when prada starts getting inspiration from you,

This bag is very similar to celine's luggage and phantom bags

I'm sure phoebe is very flattered !

McNally · 01/07/2013 22:47

Hello all!

Have been reading but not posting. Takes all my time to keep up!

Marsha I am impressed with your decisiveness (is that a word?) about the job. As others have said, you have to trust your instincts and the longer you leave it, the worse it is for all concerned. Don't give up the nursery place though. (Or if you do, give it to me! They're like gold dust around here.)

Def go for the new shoes QueenC. Think how much more use you'll get out of them than you would another dress. I really love both of the dresses you linked so either way you'll be looking great.

Turquoiseblue · 01/07/2013 22:53

MrsSheepiness · 02/07/2013 06:55

Morning all, just to say NAP further reductions have started this morning! Back to lurking again now, I just can't keep up with you all!

LinusDKD · 02/07/2013 07:04

Morning!

MrsSheepiness don't re-lurk! shop hasn't had the chance yet to get all excited and ask you to tell all about yourself.

It looks like it's going to be hot today so I am wearing my white ME&Em boyfriend tee (such a good buy, I also ordered it in navy) and black Splendid maxi tube skirt with red Gigis.

QueenC I love both dresses! Go on, buy some new shoes!
