They have a big sale on right now. I am a bit miffed because a dress I got only last week for £40 is now down to £20!!Angry Get in quick if you like their stuff-am very tempted to get a couple more dresses!!

Honestly if I could remember the poster on here who first recommended them I would kill them as cost me a bomb!

Oh they have some beautiful dresses, can I ask what their sizing is like? Is it true to size or bigger/smaller?

SuperiorCat · 15/06/2013 16:46

Oh I love their dresses

MakeTeaNotWar · 15/06/2013 17:18

Ooh pretty - should I?

MrsLettuce · 15/06/2013 19:14

They're great MakeTea, go for it!

How's the sizing these days?
Mine are a couple of years old and labelless so not confident about just ordering - according to the current size chart I need an 18 for me norks and a 14 for the waist Confused. Did they add any stretch?

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:24

No strecth MrsLettuce-I go for a 16 in the swing as I have a thick waist and find it slightly roomy on the bust-am a 36E for reference. I don't know whether to order the swing dress in the brown floral or the ditzy floral print-advice please ladies!

The Hepburn dresses tend to come up slightly bigger so you may want to size down in them.

No stretch. I returned one dress because the stitching was coming loose on the band below the zip and it was slightly too small. The second dress was supposed to be a size bigger but was even smaller than the first. Sad

Lovely fabrics though.

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:27

The only problem I have had is the latest dress I ordered-the navy swing with brown floral print if anyones interested!-is it's about an inch shorter than my other ones so sits above my knees slightly too much. But as I would never wear it bare legged its not a big problem!

MrsLettuce · 15/06/2013 19:36

Thanks Ashoething! Wa s thinking I should split the difference - is international delivery to here which makes returns prohibitively expensive. But, I'm actually more confused about what size now, my over bust measurement (with bra) is 42 inches, would you mind telling me what yours is?

ditzy floral print all the way BTW. Very nice.

Tweet2tweet · 15/06/2013 19:44

Does anyone know of they look good without a petticoat? Also, are they on the large size. Don't know whether to order a 10 or a 12. I'm usually between a 10/12. Anyone able to advise?

MrsLettuce · 15/06/2013 19:45

They are grand both with or without a petticoat.

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:47

No tweet if you are between sizes I would order up as they have no stretch. My bust is 41 mrslettuce but I do find them roomy in the bust.

OP posts:
Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:47

I agree-they look just as nice without a petticoat as the skirts are very full anyway.

OP posts:
Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:49

I would say order up if you are unsure mrslettuce-as you can always cinch it in with a different belt.

Thank you! Noticed some are made from cotton and some from viscose, is there a big difference between how they hang. I'm liking the ditsy print and flamingo print but can only go with one!

If I could afford it I would get the black Audrey dress. Not in sale but stunning.

Tweet2tweet · 15/06/2013 19:54

Meant Hepburn dress, not Audrey!

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 19:54

No I don't find any difference in the way they hang tweet-the cotton feels slightly nicer but creases more! Have you seen the new Hepburns they have in the viscose? They are on offer at £35?

OP posts:
MrsLettuce · 15/06/2013 19:57

Cheers! Stretch free dresses are always to big on my waist and if it's too big on my norkage too I'll just look daft. I like them to be as fitted as possible from the waist up but can't bear the just-a-drop-too-tight-across-my-back feeling. Grr.

Tweet - you need the Lindy Bop audry

MrsLettuce · 15/06/2013 20:01

Don't suppose you'd be prepared to measure an actual 16 for me would you Ashoething? Flat from armpit to armpit and across the waist?

I need that Ditsy Print Floral and it's costing exactly the remainder of my birthday money ATM.

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 20:05

If I can find a tape measure I will but may take me a while!

Ashoething · 15/06/2013 20:05

I have just ordered the Ditsy print floral btw!

Tweet2tweet · 15/06/2013 20:08

Ooh, that Audrey dress is lovely, thanks for link.

Ashoething · 16/06/2013 12:59

I cant wait for my ditsy print dress to come now! wearing one of my lady v dresses today-they make me feel so pretty.

MakeTeaNotWar · 19/06/2013 13:01

I ordered two dresses which have just arrived and are gorgeous! Fit beautifully, I love them and only £20 each! What shoes do you wear with them?

Ashoething · 19/06/2013 13:12

I got my ditzy flower print this morning and its lovely-much nicer than the pic suggests.

Which 2 did you go for maketea? I wear mine with ballet flats or mary jane style shoes.

Thanks for this thread - I ordered a pale yellow day dress covered in pale grey palm trees and it is just gorgeous. For £15 I am so impressed.

Can't wait to wear it, it's not the sort of thing I usually wear at all but the sun has come out so I might just wear it to Tesco this afternoon with sandals and big sunnies Grin
