They have a big sale on right now. I am a bit miffed because a dress I got only last week for £40 is now down to £20!!Angry Get in quick if you like their stuff-am very tempted to get a couple more dresses!!

Honestly if I could remember the poster on here who first recommended them I would kill them as cost me a bomb!

Only just seen this thread - nearly everything has goneSad but I have ordered one - fingers crossed it fits!

MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 14:46

I've not dared order owt - 10 quid postage is way is just too pricey when I can't be sure of fit. Grr. Last ones I got I order right up in size and had 'em altered but, well, can't afford that either ATM. Ho hum.

Enjoy your dresses!

bigTillyMint · 19/06/2013 14:48

£10? I'm sure it was £3.95 or something?

MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 14:54

10 quid postage each way is way too pricey. nupty that I am Hmm

MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 14:56

yy, indeed it is fo you lot. I'm not in the UK so more expensive for me. Would happily pay a t3nner delivery if I could be sure of the fit though.

bigTillyMint · 19/06/2013 15:01

Well, I have my fingers crossed that the sizing is as the chart says, as I've gone for a 10Smile

Amazinggg · 19/06/2013 15:08

I went for an 8, and let's just say I'm a vanity sized 8 as opposed to an actual 8! It does fit but a bit tight. Fine if you're pear-shaped like me as there's no way my bum is an 8, more like a 12, but it is nice to have it tight around the waist and I have no boobs to speak of.

MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 15:13

That's it y' see tilly - on the chart I'm something like an 18 norkage and 14 waist. Fabric has no stretch so daren't risk a 16 on an off chance and massive around the waist and / or crushed boobs isn't a good look. Chances are the 14 or 16 would be OK but it;s too much of a risk.

Amazinggg · 19/06/2013 15:15

You could email them MrsLettuce and ask what they would recommend? They might be helpful re postage if you contact them in advance iyswim.

Ashoething · 19/06/2013 15:47

I think the 16 would be a good fit for you mslettuce as I do find them roomy in the boobs even without stretch.I love their dresses but must stop buying them as am skint!

I got the navy floral swing dress and also the black with green fan. They are both lovely but I do regret buying too dark ones, I should have gone for a lighter one too but most of the sizes are now gone. Excited to wear them now!

Ashoething · 19/06/2013 17:03

I paid full price for the navy one last week so was pissed off.Its lovely though.Another one where the pic doesnt do it justice.

And I wish I hadn't seen this thread as I have ordered two...the jade green swing and the damask print swing....kerrching!

moonshine · 19/06/2013 17:27

They're making way for some new prints which are coming very soon ;-)

Ashoething · 19/06/2013 17:45

Nooooooooo-not new prints! I really cant afford any more dresses!

Lighthousekeeping · 19/06/2013 17:52

They just aren't for big boobs are they?

bigTillyMint · 19/06/2013 17:53

I hope not, Lighthousekeeping!

Ashoething · 19/06/2013 19:07

No-I think they are great for creating curves on a smaller figure too.

OP posts:
MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 19:31

Yeah, I'll mail them. No idea why I didn't think of that Confused

From what Ashoething says it sounds like they might be roomy in the bust - her 16 is big there but I measure an 18 according to the chart, I think we have similar chest measurements. Urgh.

MrsLettuce · 19/06/2013 19:33

They are very good at creating curves. I'm an inverted triangle but they make me into a perfect hourglass.

Plumpcious · 21/06/2013 20:28

Ok so I ordered a ditsy swing dress at the weekend after reading the earlier posts and it's arrived and it's lovely etc, but what on earth type of bra can you wear with it? The neckline is square and so low on me that my usual bras are very visible. I can't go without because the dress seams are uncomfortable plus there's a danger of a wardrobe malfunction if I lean forward.

Can anyone with a square-necked swing dress recommend a style of bra? Maybe strapless or with narrow straps coming down vertically from the shoulder with no V-shape?

Ashoething · 22/06/2013 09:22

You need a balconette bra or a bra with a half cup. I have got 2 which I got from primark that are ideal with these dresses.

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 22/06/2013 11:13

I have worn a Wonderbra Ultimate strapless under mine, and my Ewa Michalak CHP and S styles, but as mentioned I think any half cup or balconette would work too.

StatisticallyChallenged · 22/06/2013 11:16

MrsLettuce, if it is any help at all I have two in a 14 - one is a bit smaller than the other but both fit over my norks ok but the smaller one pulls just a little at the waist as a result. I tend to wear a thick belt with mine so it doesn't matter too much. A 16 would probably be very safe norkage wise and I'm a 30HH/J so overbust measurement will be pretty close to yours

bigTillyMint · 23/06/2013 17:21

Well my dress arrived - very sweet, but rather, ahem, close-fitting and about 6" too short for meSad It will have to be returned.
