i always want to like their lace tops but they seem to design them around a square.
the stinky next ones always better

Nehru · 01/06/2013 10:35

i think this might be cool with a shirt under

Ravello top comes in black this year - I recommend for people who work/a casual night out top, even for norkers

dexter73 · 01/06/2013 10:49

I liked that blue jumper too Nehru, but find ribbed jumpers make me look wide (well I'm blaming the jumper anyway!). Also liked the merino one as well but it has stupid 3/4 length sleeves.

Nehru · 01/06/2013 10:54

love 3/4 sleeves

dexter73 · 01/06/2013 11:05

I like them but not for autumn/winter!

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/06/2013 11:17

God, they have so copied J Crew. That merino jumper is the J Crew Tippi and they've even done the bubble necklace.

OP posts:
dexter73 · 01/06/2013 11:18

I suppose they have seen how popular J Crew is and have ditched the hotchpotch and copied them instead.

Nehru · 01/06/2013 11:20

they can copy all they like!

foxysocks · 01/06/2013 11:23

i saw that j crew jumper on the outnet a few weeks ago MrsCB, i like it too. and the lace, although boden tops are generally a bad shape on me.

that's the same jumper I have my eye on dexter, and I really like those trousers too.

not sure whether to preorder or wait for a better code once they launch.

charitygirl · 01/06/2013 11:24

The Roma trousers are BRILLIANT but gutted they're in the same three colours as last year. Was hoping for khaki or brown.

foxysocks · 01/06/2013 11:26

it is the tippi isn't it?! gorgeous.

the ribbed one reminds me of the cos linen jumper

Nehru · 01/06/2013 11:26

i am so in need of updating my BORING winter work outfits this year. think smart casual. ANyone with tips welcome.
tend to err on pencil skirts ( have to be slim not the boden flaredy ones) and tailored wool trousers ( banana republic and massimo being good this year although the MD ones were rather high waisted)

Nehru · 01/06/2013 11:27

how high waisted are the ROma trews?

KikeriFreedomCastle · 01/06/2013 11:31

Thank you for posting. I've ordered four skirts, one top and some knitwear. I love the knitwear styles, and will be going back for more.

Mini and Johnnieb is very disappointing, quite uninspiring, same-old and, in some cases even, unseasonal looking.

MrsCampbellBlack · 01/06/2013 11:50

I reckon 20% is good for discount. They will do the odd 25% later on but the good stuff does sell out quickly. And as you have 3 months to return - you could always re-order if a better code comes along and return the original item.

Nehru - am wearing navy gap tshirt dress today - have you worn yours yet?

OP posts:
charitygirl · 01/06/2013 12:01

Roma trews are not high waisted - prob mid rise but def not into natural waist. You can tuck tops into them as well as out. Fabric is heavy but v stretchy and no nasty sheen. I love them but have sworn off all the available colours. Would size down.

Nehru · 01/06/2013 12:12

No. Too cold. Sunny. But cold

Nehru · 01/06/2013 12:12

Thanks chazza

polyhymnia · 01/06/2013 12:30

Re Roma trews, yes you do need to size down one.

I'm a great fan of these too - they seem to come to my waist and I have a pretty long body.

Shame there aren't more colours, but navy and black do look good with so many things.

bella65 · 01/06/2013 12:42

I am going to order another pair of the roma trews but they do bag at the knees- after about 3 light wears I need to wash them to make them ping back into shape.

Not so sure about sizing down- I have a 10P and although they are slightly loose round waist ( need a belt) and I am a bit too much of a tummy ATM, I don't think a full size down would fit. But petite sizing comes up smaller all over- not just the legs.

bella65 · 01/06/2013 12:42

am? have!

HappyAsEyeAm · 01/06/2013 13:30

There are a few decent petite dresses. I like the peter pan collar one in the light grey particularly. The dress they have brought out to replace the knitted cable dress from last year, which was fantastic, is a poor replacement though, and it is £30 more.

polyhymnia · 01/06/2013 14:22

Which is that Happy ? I love my cable one from last year.
