Well I'm a big bob fan so I agree that her sleek, sharp bob looks amazing.
On a 5 hr train journey . Have a pile of mags to get through. DCs plugged in so peace! But why can't BR put coaches in alphabetical order?.... Drywhite family v confused, running up and down platform!!!!Grin

Drywhiteplease · 26/05/2013 16:27

And made £80 on eBay..... Quite a big chunk of my jkt paid for.Grin
And another shopping tip from DW to go with forgetting glasses and not seeing prices..... I need to do more online shopping so I can acquire more post bags for my eBay salesGrin Genius, warped reasoning which DH did not get but I know you all will!

BrandyAlexander · 26/05/2013 16:45

If you have a Selfridges account then they are offering 50% discount on designer stuff as preview sale. I ignored the first one like an idiot but thankfully the lovely folks at the Armani concession sent me one too. . If you don't have an account you can open one first and then get the discount. it is not obvious on website. spotted many brands that have been linked on here eg acne, rag&bone etc. the discount is 30% on shoes.

BrandyAlexander · 26/05/2013 16:46

Grin At Amber and Dry's logic!

MarshaBrady · 26/05/2013 18:59

Love everyone's sartorial edges.

Another one for me is a Halston Heritage cashmere silk dress with a high neck. here. It's pretty short and I have to wear a strapless bra (which is not thin material) due to the hole at the back and I feel a bit boobsy leggsy. It's also best without the black tights which means the right kind of weather for cashmere and bare legs.

Foxy great news on the DvF yellow flats and the Wang grey skirt.

MarshaBrady · 26/05/2013 19:08

Liberty great glasses. I have red Cutler & Gross ones which are so old they have glue on both sides and have been sat on and snapped so many times, I should get some new ones.

Santa love your three. Love that gold is your rebellion colour.

Those Chloe dungarees are fabulous MrsR.

Amber that dress will look great on you, I know what you mean about no where to hide. I feel like that in the Halston one.

Novice yep can see why that would be popular! Grin

And Foxy also great stuff with C/E slouchy stiletto. When all the sizes have a line through them except for yours it's like a big siren saying buy me.

AmberNectarine · 26/05/2013 19:13

You look great in that Halston Marsha - the difference being I have a lot more to hide!

LinusDKD · 26/05/2013 19:20

Marsha I was just thinking about your question again and the only thing I could come up with are my skyscraper python Louboutins. (Can't seem to upload the picture I took and the pinterest link doesn't work, help)

I bought them after DS was born and I hadn't lost any of the baby weight. On the contrary, I was so hungry bf that I put on even more weight.

So because buying clothes was out of the question in a fit of madness I bought those shoes and I have worn them only once since.

Tomorrow DH and I celebrating our wedding anniversary so I am planning on wearing them but DH has to drop me off at the restaurant door so I don't have to walk too far in them.

I haven't quite decided what dress to wear but am tempted to wear the Me & Em dress again as it is so comfy and elegant at the same time. Other contenders are a silk Theory dress and some Sportmax dresses.

Drywhiteplease · 26/05/2013 19:33

Oh Linus I think those are standing shoes!Grin

Oh to be leggsie and boobsie.

foxysocks · 26/05/2013 19:34

sartorial edge - maybe an all saints silk 'hitch'-skirted black dress. it feels too 'look at me'. it's v rocky, which is why i love it, but needs toning down. successfully wore at xmas with a longsleeved black top so it was like a skirt, might try with denim jacket now i have one and see if i can get some more wear out of it that way

thanks marsha - had been stalking outnet for a grey skirt to come back in, the one benefit to being up at 7 with DCs on a sunday! DH has been away since tuesday and is back around 1am, THANK GOODNESS. my lie in tomorrow Grin

shopafrolic · 26/05/2013 19:56

No Hasbeen wearers on here then?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/05/2013 19:59

Evening all, and a happy bank holiday/memorial day weekend to you all. I've missed so much lately because we've just had a caraaaazy week here. We had a wedding on Wednesday (Banana Republic Peggy dress from the Mad Men collection and gold pointed &Other Stories flats - it was quite a casual wedding), a Racing Welfare ball on Friday night (Black silk Alice Temperley knee-length cocktail dress and gold/black heels) and a cancer fundraiser last night (elderly emerald silk monsoon mini dress w/chiffon cuffed sleeves and gold/black heels). In between I've had 2 days racing and a lunch with new clients, so I'm now completely knackered. It hasn't stopped me checking the Pink Peonies blog on a nightly basis, leading to me buying Monday's outfit (minus the Loubs). Also managed to procure some R&B Newbury boots in navy at 40% off via Shopbop, so well happy. Driving down to visit my parents in Hants tomorrow, so practically pass by the door of Bicester Village and, well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it? Never been before, what should I expect?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/05/2013 20:02

shop I've been tempted by Hasbeens, but a bit long in the tooth and not quite funky enough to show them in the right light! Bought my mini-stylist DD2 some silver clog sandals in the Hasbeens style from (whisper) Johnnie B and she loves them (and is funky enough to do them justice)

shopafrolic · 26/05/2013 20:09

I love a bit of Bicester Grumpy I used to work for a company who hosted their gift card. Register online with them tonight, you might be lucky and get an email for a VIP shopping pass which will get you additional discounts. It'll be super busy tomorrow.....
American style village mall. Nice places to eat.
Great stores, lots of which unadvertised as they don't want to publicise the fact you can buy their brand at discount. Ralph Lauren store good for basics, Burberry fab but full of Chinese so fight the crowds! Dior, Prada, 7FAM (fab sales assistants), ace Mulberry store etc. etc. etc........

BrandyAlexander · 26/05/2013 20:09

Hi Grumpy, those outfits all sound great.Smile Linus, love the plan to drive up to the restaurant. Kind of thing I do!

Drywhiteplease · 26/05/2013 20:14

Shop.. Suesiesoso blog has some. You could email her

foxysocks · 26/05/2013 20:19

i couldn't wear hasbeens shop, just because I am over any heels except for v dressy occasions.

foxysocks · 26/05/2013 20:19

great outfits grumpy! not seen that blog before, off to check it out

shopafrolic · 26/05/2013 20:22

Am wondering if I'm pushing it at 40 wearing them but am v tempted. Have put a new thread out there to see what people think.
Catching up on last night's TV with a curry after a day in the garden so no style news here.

shopafrolic · 26/05/2013 20:23

Will checkout Susie - thanks Dry

MrsRadicchio · 26/05/2013 20:27

Shop - I think they look good. See this blog post

I had a pair of boots, which were on the narrow side for me (I do have wide feet though!) but don't have any sandal types.

I do have a pair of Lotta from stockholm, cheap version of hasbeens. Like them with bf jeans and maxi or midi skirts.

Nice dress Marsha

Jessie j does have amazing legs, its just the way she is wearing high top trainers and they still seem to go on for miles and miles!

MrsRadicchio · 26/05/2013 20:28

Tracey on All worn out is a fan too iirc

Drywhiteplease · 26/05/2013 20:30

Actually I'm not sure now Shop.

Grumpy you outfits and week sound great.

shopafrolic · 26/05/2013 20:31

It was that blog that got me lusting this morning MrsR - I'm easily led! I wondered if they were narrow, as one of the shots on the blog looked as though feet had been squashed in!

LinusDKD · 26/05/2013 20:35

Gah, still can't link to my shoes. How do you link to a photo on pinterest you have taken yourself?
