Reread my post sorry! Holiday, DH :), lack of full make up, pool etc sound bliss. Heat rash and lack of sleep for DCs not so blissful!

Grin @ drywhite! The credit card bill arrived on Monday. I won't be purchasing any rocks for a while! That's why it's great falling in love again with old pieces, especially those dh got me on our varies hols as it always evokes a memory of that holiday.

I am sure you're the only one who noticed wrinkles btw! We are always our own worst critics. Sounds like you looked fab!

BrandyAlexander · 27/04/2013 14:08

Thanks Shop, I knew what you meantGrin the good bits far outweigh the lack of sleep and the creeping rash. Thanks for the tip, i will give that a go too. I have tried everything and normally Toddler Milk by SunSense works so I don't know why it's failed this holiday. We're just keeping them permanently distracted (not too hard!) so they don't scratch themselves,

MrsRadicchio · 27/04/2013 14:22

Ah novice sounds like you are having a good time, apart from DC sleep issues. Jealous of the lovely weather - it has gone cold again here.

Glad you had a good night Dry !

I like birkenstocks for the comfort factor. In fact I left the house this morning in an outfit that could get me thrown off this thread. Let's just say it involved birkenstocks with socks Grin

The JV snake flats have arrived. They are v similar to the M&S ones I think, which should make those of you who went for the M&S ones very happy. I am sending them back as I am not so keen on the snake print which has a sheen to it.

More shoe love

sandals for hopefully??!

another NB alternative

Love these

MrsRadicchio · 27/04/2013 14:27

Oh who has initials RC on pin? I love the white brogues in your "clothes I own" board

these

Where are they from?

Love these too

libertychick · 27/04/2013 14:45

Mrs R the white brogue link is going to the Ash high tops...can you relink?

I would like Houlihans/mavericks Marsha and Dec but I need to watching the spending right now. Good tip to try river island ? have noticed Mrs CB recommending RI denim a lot lately too. Novice I tried the M&S ones and they are not bad ? would do as a stop gap ? but they are slightly clingy on my muscular calves. Envy at 26 degrees!

Shop the Hollingworth chinos do look good but the description says they sit low on the hips which has put me off ordering them. Hoping to get a chance to pop into the branch on Marylebone Road and try them.

Sounds like you had a good night Drywhite.

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 14:57

Mmmm I read that too Liberty
These were the A&W ones not much use now I know

OP posts:
libertychick · 27/04/2013 15:02

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 15:05

I went to Zara today and they didn't have the shoes I wanted but I saw these and it was love at first sight. I think they will go with the blue dress so I bought them.

They're making their debut tonight at a party with grey skinnies with zips at the bottom and a white silk shirt. Most of my clothes are black, white and grey and no pattern with the odd bit of pink, cobalt and neon (boring I know) so those shoes will add a bit of interest and go with everything I own.

Saw some skinny cargo pants in H&M but cheapo obviously.

I'm listening with interest to talk of slipper flats. After being caught in last summers non stop rain too many times I had to chuck out all my ballet flats.

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 15:14

Amazing shoes Paris tonight's outfit sounds great.

libertychick · 27/04/2013 15:37

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 15:43

Nice enough dress Santa (I assume you're comfortable with the tops of your arms?). Is it a huge discount?

OP posts:
libertychick · 27/04/2013 15:46

I think that dress is a classic Santa. Very nice indeed!

AmberNectarine · 27/04/2013 15:47

I've linked that dress before Santa, it's fab - definitely buy!

Have just been for a lovely lunch with some of the W&A crew, all looking v stylish including Marsha showing off her ridiculously long and slender legs. Did a bit of shopping too, Whistles stripey tube skirt and neon pink Kate spade earrings. Now off to Asda, the glamour!

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 15:48

Sorry sorry. It's a great dress Santa I just worry when people have a code they have to use. I guess the question is, if you didn't have the code would you still buy it? If yes, then go for it. It'll be super versatile. Can see it dressed up or down.

Parisisalwaysagoodidea · 27/04/2013 16:11

Love the dress Santa, so versatile.

Annianni · 27/04/2013 16:12

Fab shoes Paris

Lovely dress Santa

Glad you had a good night Drywhite

Glamorous lunches and 26 degrees... Envy
I've just bought 1500 bricks :o

santamarianovella · 27/04/2013 16:17

Thank you all,it's very tempting shop, and I do have some balance with them so it will be almost %50 less. I don't know what's wrong with them this season, but I'm not loving their selection at all,my-wardrobe use to stock nice things.
I have been taking kickboxing classes and I hope I can rock them Grin

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 16:52

Wow! That's a definite bargain then Santa I'd go for it. Would love to hear how you style it as I think there'll be lots of options.

Bracing myself for round 2....hair of the dog chez dryGrin.....ever the optimist, were having a BBQ (in the summer house....with indoor sparklers must grow up)...
DH bought this summer house ( I call it a "shed" to piss him off!!) at a country show last year. I was Angry because he just bought it without discussion ...anyway, it has a fire inside and chimney that you can BBQ on all year round. It's actually quite brilliant for entertaining because

  1. It's informal
  2. You can make loads in advance then get guests to cook their meat ( men go mad doing this as they seem to love the fire bit!!)
3.its different
  1. Because its " outside" I can use all disposable stuff, so no washing up.

I won't admit this to DH because I might want fashion payback but it's actuall quite brilliant!!!

Sorry, nothing to do with fashion......or perhaps it is... What does one wear for a night in a shed???answers please!Grin

shopafrolic · 27/04/2013 17:43

I need to see a link to this 'shed' Drywhite it sounds awesome!
