when do matches do their sales? are they better than NAP about reducing the lot, or is there some stuff that stays FP?

Annianni · 04/05/2013 13:28

Those yellow flats are fabulous Foxy, no idea about the sales, sorry.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 13:28

Bahamas. oh that's tough, I hmmm when dh has a lovely time after work only in London whilst I'm doing the bedtime bit again.

Shop have a lovely day before he goes, for how long is he going?

McNally have a lovely first birthday today.

Foxy I think they'd look great on you. I couldn't think my feet are too big.

Dry have fun dh is the ultimate in light packing. Really irks me that he thinks he can live in so little when we go to Aus.

The dss have great clothes, but mil buys them stuff with moshi monsters on it which they love more .

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 13:29

Are the sales June? I never remember.

foxysocks · 04/05/2013 13:39

i know marsha, it's a hard life! then he posts all these amazing pics on FB and makes me want to strangle him even more.

i do love them (the flats) but wonder whether more sensible option is to break down matches order into more smaller bits. could get three items and still use discount. hmm.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 13:44

Dh just took them out for lunch and park to make up for my mood at having to be at home as he segued from work to night out last night. Not sure how you make up for the blinking Bahamas. Matches and NaP I suspect Grin.

So do you have to spend a certain amount to get the discount? £150 is that what it is?

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 13:46

The model does look good but I can't believe jeans are breaking the £300 barrier now.

Annianni · 04/05/2013 13:49

Daniel footwear clearance sale, up to 80% off including Ash, Sam E etc.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 13:50

Anni great Asos purchase, The scarf is lovely.

foxysocks · 04/05/2013 13:51

HA! i like your style marsha. yes a NaP order would make up for it, i will call him when he's at LHR then he'll have no option but to agree Grin

(have mailed you x)

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 14:03

Good plan Grin. Whilst fuzzy with jet lag.

(Fab have pm'd.)

santamarianovella · 04/05/2013 14:06

shop i know how you feel,DH just came back after spending 2 months away on a project.it was a nightmare for me.
foxy i love the flats. the matches sales are fab, better than the NAP one,IMO. and if you are a customer they send you a pre invite, and extra % off later on.i stopped buying from NAP as im sure their buyers are having a laugh.
speaking of packing,i dont pack much ,but DH,is the complete opposite,he packs everything!
thanks grumpy might order the skirt today.

Sleepwhenidie · 04/05/2013 14:06

Hi Grumpy your DH sounds like mine, generous to a fault and always grateful for some direction when it comes to what to buy me. It would be lovely if he was amazing at choosing the perfect thing unassisted but when it's not the perfect thing I always feel terrible and it is awkward all round so probably best that he takes a bit of unsubtle hinting very well Smile.

Re the watch, I'm sorry, I can't remember. It was definitely online but two or three years ago Sad.

I hate it when DH travels too, so does he though, usually. I like having the bed to myself for the first night or so, then I am over it. Tell you what though, it was great having a change and me being the one going away and leaving him with the kids for a few days last week, he has been very affectionate and attentive since I got back Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 04/05/2013 14:08

Marsha no jeans could be worth £305!Shock I reckon that model would look just as good in Baxters.

Sleepwhenidie · 04/05/2013 14:12

Hi Santa, sorry was it you who mentioned Selfridges/Harrods cards and discounts (for Gucci top)? Did you mean when the sale is on/presale(?) or when you take out a storecard Confused

Annianni · 04/05/2013 14:13

I've painted one finger nail with the flip flop fantasy and it's rather bright

Ds2 wants his painting too :o

Jeans prices are getting silly now.

MarshaBrady · 04/05/2013 14:13

I know it's nuts! I do like the black jumper and white shirt, or whatever that weird collar thing is, I'd just do plain shirt. But the jeans, they are a crazy price.

Sleep your holiday sounded so lovely. It is good to leave them to it sometimes!

Dh never travels. They have this big wall conference thing where they pretend they're in the same room. Thinking about it makes me laugh. I went away for a couple of nights last year, I enjoyed getting on the plane just for the sheer luxury of not travelling with small people. But then it was a bit meh. I got a bit bored being away, although it wasn't a lovely holiday but a rather nice work thing.

Santa and everyone it must be really tough to for the two month travel things. For missing each other and also just to have someone to take over with the dc.

Sleepwhenidie · 04/05/2013 14:27

I agree, two months would be really tough, DH has a self-imposed rule/limit of four nights away which he very rarely breaks, but he's lucky enough to have the choice.

santamarianovella · 04/05/2013 14:41

sleep my mom has the harrods reward card, and when she came over for xmas shopping back in dec,she got a good discount on many items,it was a weekend event thing and cardholders were treated to %20 off alot of items, some items were %30 off.but i dont know if you have to have certain number of points in your card to get 30% off, she is a green card holder. its worth to ask,
i saw that top last year at an outlet in florence, for 60% off.it was few seasons old but its the exact design.

Sleepwhenidie · 04/05/2013 14:48

Thanks Santa, useful info Smile

foxysocks · 04/05/2013 14:50

Four nights max, that is ace. I've had up to six weeks in the past and there is always a month a year away for fieldwork, that's pretty killer. Problem is there's always someone working longer hours with no family to distract, so he still feels like he's falling behind. Pulled in too many directions, not good.

BrandyAlexander · 04/05/2013 15:10

Good afternoon everyone! We're back home. Where is the gorgeous weather you all promised me?!

Poor you Shop. I travel more than dh, probably once a month and dh travels every other month. I cry every time he leaves no matter how long or short the journey. It's been over a decadeBlush I don't cry if I am leaving for a day trip (that's just a v long work day) but if its more than 2 nights I wail all the way to the airport. Thankfully it's usually the same driver so I think he's just quietly decided I am a nutter and leaves me to it.Grin

santamarianovella · 04/05/2013 15:16

I have no idea to be honest on selfridges card account ,as I only have the gift card sleep.
I like the sound of 4 days max rule, your DH work foxy sounds similar to mine, but it will get better at the end of the year ,and there will be no more going away for months at a time.

And I think the matches sales are a week earlier to the NAP one.

Marsha YSL are just insane I saw these : www.mytheresa.com/en-gb/woodstock-leather-sandals-211663.html and thought there must be a typo! It's not worth it!

shopafrolic · 04/05/2013 16:01

MrsR those flats are lovely. I've decided to be good though as I've bought three dresses in the last week so will wait a while before purchasing shoes now I think. DH is v relieved.
Foxy those yellow flats are amazing
All these travel tales are making me :(
My father used to travel for up to a year at a time when we were little so when DH and I met I was very wary of how much he travelled. We've been v fortunate in the past as he has won club trips so we've been to the USVI etc together. This will be the first time in 5 years that he is working for a company who still offer club trips so some luxury travel could be on the cards for both of us again in future. Apparently there is an annual sales kick off in Las Vegas Hmm for him to attend. This induction trip is tomorrow to Friday. I'm normally fine, it's just hard at the moment because at 2.4 DS is a bit challenging at the minute and I get to the end of my tether some days. Nothing new there tho!

shop good girl!im sure you will find better flats.and your DH will be home before you know it,and hopefully you get to enjoy lots of Exotic vacations with him.
it's been very difficult for me this past year, but its even harder for him,its a very stressful job and he tries very hard to make up for all the time he is a way. he had a look at my wish lists so I hope something is on its wayGrin.

I know you all hate the DM,so I won't link, but that chanel wedding outfit Keira is wearing is just WoW! I love the jacket.she looks just flawless.
