Hahaha have you seen the boden April fool?

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 01/04/2013 11:24

Ooh! What's the film? Sounds cool!

Our 13th is mid-April. We completely forgot it one year (till a card arrived from my mum!), but we had just had a holiday in India as a "celebration"Smile

bigTillyMint · 01/04/2013 11:25

I saw the email and did a double- take at man-skirt and then deleted it!

Cremolafoam · 01/04/2013 11:34

Looks fab - will try to catch it when I get back - Brixton Ritzy's sure to be showing it. I loved the Undertones!

Stropperella · 01/04/2013 11:51

Am sitting in a packed A&E with dd who has managed to knock off the top of one her toes. Large chunk hanging off and mucho blood. Db and family plus dm due for lunch in 10 mins. Dog unwalked and cannot be let out in garden as dh has cocked up replacing fence panels and dog can just walk into next door which causes diplomatic incident. Lalala.

motherinferior · 01/04/2013 11:55

O GOD Stropps!

bigTillyMint · 01/04/2013 11:55

OMG Stropps! How did she do it? Is she wailing or being stoic?

Get your rellies to take the dog for a long walk to a lovely country pub where you can meet them for lunch (it is lunchtime there, isn't it?)

Stropperella · 01/04/2013 12:00

Have been here 50 mins and dd is starting to get massively stressed. Ho hum. Holidays: we aren't in a position to do them unless we save for a few years or get a lucky break. This year we have lucky break with offer from client of free use of appartment in Vienna. Have never done a "proper" holiday with hot weather, beach etc. We make do with wetsuits and Weymouth. Could be a lot worse, so am not complaining. However, dcs are of the opinion that they are massively disadvantaged.....

Stropperella · 01/04/2013 12:11

Ha, we are just being seen. Looks like a broken toe too. Bugger. She ran upstairs and either caught it on the corner of the wall at the top of the stairs or on part of stairgate. Still have stairgate because dd does stress-related sleepwalking and wanders off downstairs whilst still asleep if gate not closed.

bigTillyMint · 01/04/2013 12:22

Oh no Stropps! And poor DD.

My DD does sleeptalking, but it doesn't usually make any sense and doesn't require a stairgate.

Offer of tent, etc stands for anyone who needs itSmile

motherinferior · 01/04/2013 12:29

Sadly DP refuses point-blank to campGrin

beachyhead · 01/04/2013 12:36

Oooh Stopps, that sounds horrible... That's all you need today.

Crem, dh and I saw that film reviewed and it looks excellent. It's on our 'to do' list.. We never go to the cinema so must make a special effort for that.

We are celebrating our 19th anniversary this yearBlush, not that we tend to celebrate it much. It's in June.

Today the children are over chocolated and grumpy... One is GCSE revising, the other two are bothering each other a lot!

I'm waiting for the wind to die down so I can plant my spuds!

Blackduck · 01/04/2013 12:57

Oh Stropps :( that sounds painful.
If married we would be notching up...erm....actually lets not go there :)
Have just made 3 d planet mobile with ds (just waiting for clay to dry)
Another big crash as a 10 inch icicle outside the bathroom window has plummeted to its death....
Oh guest bought ds an Easter egg (only one he has had thus far), he is really not bothered!!

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/04/2013 13:18

We will have been married 20 years this year if I don't kill him or walk out before then. We have been rowing all weekend. It started off with him telling me how lazy I am and we have now moved onto schools for the DDs ("What schools are we considering for the DDs?" - from the man who has taken no interest in this at all.)

Blackduck · 01/04/2013 13:26

lazy MrsS? Shock. Well if you are lazy I have no idea what that makes me...I'll kill him for you if you like? (After I have pushed dp under a train....)

Cremolafoam · 01/04/2013 13:26

Stropps O.M.G.!!!
Poor child. So plaster and stitches or what do they say?
Ghastly . Forget about rellies , you can't do EVERYTHING!
The pub idea sounds good. FGS what a nightmare Hmm

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/04/2013 13:49

Toe sounds horrid, Strops. Hope they sort her out soon.

beachyhead · 01/04/2013 14:23

Mrs S, he's only asking about schools to pick another fight Grin you have to go down the 'haven't really thought about it yet? What do you reckon?' route, or just pretend you haven't heard and walk off humming with your hands over your ears..

bigTillyMint · 01/04/2013 15:37

MrsS I wouldn't blame you for stabbing him. I would do the same if it was my DHAngry

Have just got back from another bar to find DD watching SpongeBobSquarepantsConfused

herbaceous · 01/04/2013 16:45

LAZY, Mrs S? FFS. He needs a damned good kick in the slats, then a cooking strike.

Here's my top tip for Easter. Do not get really drunk one night, then go tres hungover to a children's puppet theatre, full of screaming babies and irritating middle-class Islingtonites. The rage to kill was strong.

Second bad hangover of the weekend. Must get grip.

Stropps - how horrific toe-wise. And yes - stuff the rellies. Not exactly your fault, now, is it?

motherinferior · 01/04/2013 18:51

I have so far avoided hangovers bit suspect will need booze as DP returns to work and I have the work/kids combo. Think I might just take tomorrow off. Have various extra children here on Weds which will help a bit!

hattymattie · 01/04/2013 18:57

Sorry about DD strops - not a great bank holiday. We have been to neighbours for easter egg hunt (children) whilst adults drank! Now feeling a bit worse for wear.

Mrs S - you sound as if you're always on the go - better show your DH this thread - the bit about where you were discussing schools.

Film sounds fun.

Bit bored this evening as DH has gone incommunicado reading massive volume of Game of Thrones and only responding to questions with monosyllabic grunts.

motherinferior · 01/04/2013 19:05

'Kinell. Mum of DD2's mate K asked if we could have K on Weds as she has to sort out stuff after her mum died a couple of weeks ago. Don't think they've even had funeral yet . Just texted her about logistics and her dad died on Friday too...

hattymattie · 01/04/2013 19:34

Crikey MI - that's really tough poor thing.
