Sleep, I have to size down for Current/Elliott, 25 should fit you.

Annianni · 13/03/2013 08:30

I wore a poncho after having ds1, great for wearing while pushing the pram.
Hard work with handbags though.

I've got 2 wool capes that I love but hardly wear for the same reason.

The C/E jeans I ordered yesterday said to size down. But I've looked at the stiletto style on asos in the past and they said true to size.
I say try them Sleep
Hope you're all well today.

Love that bag MrsR.

I can just imagine dh's face if I got that dress out to show him.
And if we buy it in a smaller size, I can adapt it to fit my size 14 arse with a bit of parcel tape and a random piece of fabric. Nobody would notice the difference!

Or maybe duck tape would be better?

FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2013 08:35

liberty I have three Me&Em dresses and wear them all the time!

Just got a message to say that my Outnet order has left Gatwick this morning

libertychick · 13/03/2013 09:11

Thanks for all the feedback. In the cold morning light I am glad I didn't buy the poncho - I had a poncho and a cape in my uni days and occasionally hanker after the look but it really isn't practical. I will buy a Me and Em dress I think but have a deal with myself that I have to do my company accounts (boring) first, sort out the family finances (even more boring) and then buy something nice as a reward!

Excited for you Fritzi and everyone else with parcels winging their way from the Outnet - their service is excellent isn't it?

DH has an appointment this morning so I am at home with DD which is great.

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2013 09:19

Exciting Fritzi!

Yes ponchos sound better if you have a pram to push as then you can put the bag elsewhere. I get bag irritation quite easily however, even when Celine slips down and it's not heavy.

Have a lovely morning with your dd Liberty. Me & Em reward sounds lovely too.

That dress, you could turn a different way, get a different angle and people will think you've changed.

My order got dispatched at 15.22 yesterday, that was pretty good! Must have had loads of extra people on I imagine.

foxysocks · 13/03/2013 09:28

what is everyone wearing today? it's lovely here, cold but bright, so am wearing indigo skinnies (goldsign) with the MNV cashmere sweater and my new charcoal star scarf. which I've just realised is the same outfit as I wore sunday but diff jeans. i obv love this jumper so much!

about to go and change into far less stylish american apparel leggings and H&M vest for yoga now, having dispatched children to relevant places...

foxysocks · 13/03/2013 09:31

size 10 white cropped goldsigns on ebay with fairly low start www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLDSIGN-Idle-mid-rise-WHITE-cropped-jeans-/300873303698?pt=UK_Women_s_Jeans&hash=item460d724692

Annianni · 13/03/2013 09:33

My outnet parcels have been dispatched

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2013 11:14

Foxy I wear the mnv loads. So comfy. The other ones are coming to give it a break!

Well except for today, am wearing Paul&Joe check and floral shirt, Sonia Rykiel stripe jumper and Wang black knit over top, J brand cords. This is a pretty random combination I admit. But sometimes like mixing it up.

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2013 11:16

Also meant to link these J Crew pointy flats. They have black and tan too I think. Looking forward to the store opening in London as I'd like to try stuff on. Not sure how comfy they would be (and probably not right for my size 7s, but worth a look).

justasecond · 13/03/2013 11:47

Morning ladies. I was lurking on mnv yesterday lunchtime when the outnet clearance news broke!! I managed to get a few bits of cashmere. I am so grateful to whoever it was that shared thankyou!! My order has already been delivered, can't believe it was so quick!
I will be returning these
www.theoutnet.com/product/334119
They are size 10 and a v flattering fit but a little too short in the leg for me, would anyone like them before I send back?
Also I got this jumper in M but could really have done with a Large as I prefer a looser fit
www.theoutnet.com/product/340182
If anyone has a large and wants a Medium please PM me

Mrsap · 13/03/2013 12:03

Thx for the tip justasecond.

Ponchos are no good on me either, make me look like a walking tent.

Love those pointy flats marsha. Although I have size 8 feet so they might look like boats on me.

Although I did get the pony skin, studded ones that amber blogged about a while ago and I love them. Just need the weather now.

Am watching the outnet like a hawk now for returns so any tips are v helpful. Thx

Annianni · 13/03/2013 12:10

Justasecond, i've got that sweater coming in a large. I'll let you know if it's no good.
I wouldn't be wanting a medium though.
Maybe they would hold it for you?

Love those shoes Marsha

justasecond · 13/03/2013 12:36

Thanks Annianni!
I like those flats too Marsha but also have size 7 feet. I used to wear pointy flats around 2003 and still have a couple of pairs from LK bennett and Zara, maybe I should get them out again...
I got these from Office after seeing on En Brogue but will be sending back as they are a bit hard although I really liked the colour.

MarshaBrady · 13/03/2013 13:04

Yes Justasecond think I might have same problem, feet too big and those J Crew ones might be too hard. They are nice though, so will check them out.

Mrsap pony skin ones sound great.

Jumpers are here and they are brilliant!

Dark slate grey is my favourite (sorry foxy!) very slouchy and so soft.

Second favourite is this amazing raspberry-ish coral red one. The colour is not red red, it says vermillion so I guess that's what it is if that means anything.

Third is a departure for me bubblegum pink!. But will see if can contrast with leather skirt so not too sweet. Quite like having to think of new combos with a new colour I never wear.

I looked at new in on the outnet today and saw lots of full price I&I looks so expensive now.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/03/2013 13:05

So envious of all the bargainous cashmere.justasecond I would certainly have had that sweater from you had it been a small.
I know I am supposed to be on hiatus, but caught a glimpse of the Mad Men collection at Banana Republic and crumbled.
Had to buy the dress and clutch on the US site as sold out here (although clutch has since re-appeared). Have had them shipped to my parents who will bring them over at Easter (yay!). Also discovered a 35% off code which only worked 4pm-midnight on Mon (found it at 10pm) but only on the EU site and got the necklace, bracelet and ring. I have to go racing alot throughout the summer and need smart stuff. I can mix these up quite well with the things I have - obviously I wouldn't be wearing it all together! Bit of a blue/green overload...

justasecond · 13/03/2013 13:11

Oooh Marsha what a good haul, they are all lovely esp the pink one!! Will look stunning with a leather skirt but if all else fails there is always idigo denim! I got the pink boyfriend cardi and pink and navy stripe jumper. The khaki one is actually fine as I am a small 10, will keep if no swap comes up I just prefer my jumpers a bit looser to get a shirt under.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 13/03/2013 13:26

justasecond you must be about the same size as me - if you do want to go larger/looser I would surely like to take the smaller one off your hands...

Annianni · 13/03/2013 13:37

You're a size 10 Justasecond and you want a large
I've no chance of keeping it then, because i'm a 14.

Lovely sweaters Marsha Envy

Silver ebay gigi's are here and I love them and they fit perfectly.

Decameron · 13/03/2013 14:00

Lovely Marsha, hope mine arrives soon and fits me. I ordered the medium and I am a 12. I have leopard print pointy flats from Stuart Weitzman, they are very comfy.

Are the Gigis comfortable between the toes, Anni? I had ordered a pair to be sent to my friend in the US but then cancelled the order as too difficult to return if they aren't right.

I'm in a cream Whistles sweater (last years), True Religion skinny jeans (bought when DD1 was a baby so I'm getting my money's worth there) and old tan Russell & Bromley Rockafella boots. Oh and a Coach belt which I bought about 12 years ago. Feeling frugal!

Decameron · 13/03/2013 14:02

Liberty, I'm overwhelmed with curiosity and wonder if we went to the same university. Will PM you now!

foxysocks · 13/03/2013 14:04

that's ok marsha, i do already have a slouchy grey cashmere (blend! - got it for £15 in gap sale) jumper so don't need another. am trying to stick to list this SS, so an extra one really isn't necessary. so glad you like it all x

anni great news on the gigis

have been trying the R&B biker on again, if it warms up enough i'll be tempted to wear on the school run later this week. this weather is really starting to limit my fashion options, am so bored of wearing a coat!

justasecond · 13/03/2013 14:04

I'm sure it will be fine on you Annianni ! I have always had this thing about buying clothes too big because I am muslim (wear hijab) and its always been hard to find nice clothes that are compatible with my faith i.e not too tight or revealing so in the past i have just bought things bigger. Luckily trends have changed and the slouchy effect is even in fashion now! so can get fashionable but modest clothes much more easily now.

AmberNectarine · 13/03/2013 14:22

I'm just straight up refusing to wear my duvet coat now. Was out in the snow in a maxi skirt and blazer on Monday.

MrsRadicchio · 13/03/2013 14:43

Marsha lovely purchases! I like the idea of bubblegum pink with leather skirt, good mix.

I have also been looking for leather skirts on ebay, inspired by Frugal thread (possibly not the point...) Haven't found any amazing Amber style bargains though I have found one I might bid on.

FWIW I agree about capes and ponchos, look great on other people but I find them too impractical to wear. What do you do about a bag? Have one you hold in your hand? But that is also impractical! I am all about comfort and practicality these days.

Today am wearing chinti blouse, skinny cargo trousers from new defunct Kew and the leopard print boots I was asking about. I haven't worn them in ages and they were really pinching my feet. Will see how it goes but may be ebaying them anyway.

Hope the weather improves soon, its true coats etc are getting a bit boring now!

Foxy its great your enthusiasm for the R&B biker, I haven't made a purchase I have been really excited about for ages...or rather I have but then it hasn't been quite right when I have received it. Really nice when an item fits in well with your wardrobe and opens up possibilities.
