I got my (final- honest) parcel today and thought it would be fun to summarise (I lead a very uneventful life!)

Hits:

Navy Padded coat for dd3 - BRILLIANT. Looks lovely one and so soft and warm

Raindy Day mac for me - I got the charcoal patterned one and it's beautiful. Feels great and am in love with the pattern which is less aggressive in the flesh than on screen. For £35 - bargain

Cord Placket dress in petrol - love, love, love this - beautifully lined and flattering

Emma tunic dress - I now have three Blush

Miss:

Casual jersey dress - it's cheap for a reason. Nice and warm but so dull, so, so dull

Drapey jersey top - also yawn

Lottie tunic - the trim at the top came too low down on my fairly short self so cut bust in two - not a good look.

Anybody else?

THANKS NoRoomForMeInMyBed for the free postage on sale goods code (Q235) - worked beautifully and much appreciated :-)
I've ordered the Slouchy Merino Jumper x2 (chestnut & sunset), Twist Front Top (cranberry) & Pretty Crew Neck Cardigan (gold melange).
Going for a bit of colour, but could all end up being returned!
Will report back when I've tried them...

MaureenShit · 12/01/2013 09:58

ive just ordered the pink cashmere sweater thing - will prob make me look pg

QuiteOldGal · 12/01/2013 11:21

Well, Richmond bag in tartan arrive today and is going back. Pattern is OK but it is a bit boxy and also the tartan pattern is not level and looks quite obviously so.

Boyfriend cardigan in clay is a keeper and I may get another colour, the fit on me is much better than the Merino cardigan which went back. The sleeves and length are longer and it is slimmer fitting, I'm 5ft 10 and size 12-14 I got a 14 in both, if the sleeves hadn't have been shorter in the Merino I would have maybe sized down.

Waiting on chinos in truffle, bargain at £24.50 as they are a spring/summer trouser anyway.

Just going to look for more stuff now.

dreamingofsun · 12/01/2013 12:04

has anyone tried the lottie tunic? Am i kidding myself that at 50 i could even consider it? espec with nobbly knees (though toned legs)?

cloutiedumpling · 12/01/2013 12:10

Thank you for the free P&P code. I bought the tweed jacket and love it. I am 5'4 and it fits me brilliantly. I think it would probably not be so good for tall ladies. I also bought the petite knot front tops which are great and the regular sized knot front top which has the fake camisole bit underneath. It is very thick cotton and good quality. The petite tops are not such thick cotton but I'm going to keep them because they look smart and fit well.

alemci · 12/01/2013 12:29

just bought the merino cardi in navy, velvet skirt, bretton top for my dd and a bikini top for her as well. we may share the cardi as she borrows half my stuff anyway (grrr)

some very good buys on their I think

quite liked the rainy day mac in blue and mauve but then I don't think I would feel comfortable in it somehow.

Free returns and postage is great and now on the site automatically.

is this quite recent as I had to pay postage when I ordered just after new year.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 12/01/2013 18:21

Not brought much but

Hits:
Rainy Day Mac in green, is a bit bold for me, but too much of a bargain
Chunky Buckle Boots in conker.
Drapey pleated top in navy.
Velvet plimsoles - £15!!

Misses:
Toasty button through, was ok but just nothing special and colour not as nice
Everyday jumper - nice but too like my bretons so went back.

polyhymnia · 12/01/2013 18:32

dreaming I'm older than you, I've tried blue Lottie tunic and it looked pretty good. Would certainly have worn it, but returned it simply because it was not quite special enough at original price. Am actually thinking of getting again now reduced in sale.

Only thing is, as I'm tall would wear with skinny jeans, or similar - couldn't get away with it as a 'dress'. But if I was (quite a bit) shorter, would certainly wear with thick tights and booots, no problem.

polyhymnia · 12/01/2013 19:01

dreaming just looked at the Lottie again online - to make sure there are still any left in my size.

If it had come to just an inch or two above knee as on model, I'd wear with opaques, because my lower legs are good - as yours sound as if they are - and knees don't really look knobbly in thick tights, in my experience. But, at 36'' length, it was a lot shorter than that on me (I'm 5'9'').

NoRoomForMeInMyBed · 14/01/2013 20:22

Rainy day mac in 16 going back tomorrow, in red/grey. Keeping the 14 in green undergrowth.:)

loveyoutothemoonandback · 14/01/2013 21:10

Perfect Cosy Parker is my star buy. I sent back the Slouch Merino Jumper (because actually I didn't look like Helena Christensen in it) and a fur collared heavy long cardi.

Dancergirl · 15/01/2013 22:52

How warm is it loveyou?

teta · 16/01/2013 10:46

My dc's said i looked like i was wearing a bush in the olive rainy day coat.I also felt like an overgrown toddler in mine,so i returned it.I have returned all the Boden clothes i have ordered this year. They just don't seem to suit me and the spring brochure is terrible.I really wouldn't be seen dead in those clothes. But i also seem to have the wrong shaped body for the clothes to look right.

mrsshackleton · 16/01/2013 10:46

Emma does absolutely nothing for me, probably too old Sad going straight back.

However, am v pleased with a lot of stuff I bought from the Limited Collection and the Stella jacket.

Dancergirl · 16/01/2013 15:52

I also returned my Emma, very disappointing. Looked cheap and the fabric was think and viscose-y.

magso · 16/01/2013 21:38

I ordered an Emma tunic (before the sale) and found it needed to hang for a while to look presentable. My first attempt was an 8regular (I am between 8 and 10 and 5ft 2) and it was about 2 inches above the knee and emphasised my newly acquired thickened waist. Next ( wanting knee length but liking the style) I tried a 10 long, which skims better but is a good 2 inches below my knee. Perhaps a 10 regular would have fitted.

Dancergirl · 16/01/2013 22:00

THIN!

meltedcreditcard · 17/01/2013 08:02

Lots and lots of returns now! Just had a look, must stop!

ChablisLover · 17/01/2013 08:43

wow - Melted

just had a look and the number of returns are amazing! Granted most of them say low stock but they must have be inundated with returns!

Wonder if Johnnie will reduce prices anymore?

joliejolie · 17/01/2013 09:49

I've ordered a jacket that I'm sure isn't actually in stock, which happens too much to me during the Boden sale with low stock items! I'm eyeing up bargain kids wellies and cardigans too. Made a resolution to not spend money (lasted almost 10 days), so I'm late to the Boden bargains and am thrilled there's a new wave of stock!

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 17/01/2013 09:59

There is loads, all at the higher of of the price brackets quoted.

I hope they drop a bit more!

rubytutu · 17/01/2013 10:34

On a complete whim I ordered the silk notch dress in navy and it is an amazingly flattering fit, will wear to christening in April. Also ordered the claudia dress in pewter which again for £55 looks very classy. Less sure about that one though. Vaguely tempted by the chunky buckle boots has anyone got them?

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 17/01/2013 10:45

I've got them in Conker ruby they're nice boots, great leather.

They have a little zip on the inside of the ankle which some reviewers don't like but i wouldn't be able to get them on without it!

They are padded and nice & thick.

Wore them for the first time yesterday, they gave me a whopping blister on my heel but i will persevere - for the price they are a bargain.

I also ordered the boho top on a whim and it's lovely. Will be nice for spring/summer or even holiday.

alemci · 17/01/2013 10:49

dd loved merino cardi and stripey top in navy. Haven't tried black velvet skirt on yet. tempted to have another look.

shame they haven't a return section you can access quickly

alemci · 17/01/2013 10:55

are you still able to get free returns and postage. seems to have disappeared on site.
