This stuff seems really expensive...
will they give you a tester to try first [tight emoticon].. I'd be really pissed of if I spent my birthday money on something that didn't suit me..

cod · 21/04/2006 10:32

yes i foyu look plausible enough

snafu · 21/04/2006 10:32

I'm off to buy some today. Anything that might make me look less like something from Night of the Living Dead (director's acne cut), don't care how expensive it is...

welshmum · 21/04/2006 12:28

cod - thanks for the tip. Bought mine and am well pleased.
Got any tips for a more summery look though? think the limpide might start to look at bit pale by end of May?

Socci · 21/04/2006 12:32

rummum - when I went to buy some the lady gave me three testers so you should be able to get some.

cod · 21/04/2006 12:49

ok my rl mate finbar has texted
s hes got some to
do you think sales are soaring?

cod · 21/04/2006 12:51

in the summer id either get a different colour or just use it where needs must i.e on nose under eyes
i always use ti - perhaps more thinly in the summer

Pollyanna · 21/04/2006 12:55

I tried it! I might buy some, but was humiliated when woman-with-orange-face told me I had to exfoliate Blush (I am liquid in beige).

welshmum · 21/04/2006 12:57

mmmm...might have to experiment with one in a different colour. Obviously need to look delightfully sunkissed not like a handbag

cod · 21/04/2006 13:09

fgs
chanel consultants NOT comign out well here are htey

rummum · 21/04/2006 14:02

OK... I'm back...
after going to House of Frazer to look, there wasn't a chanel consultant in sight... so went to Debenhams.. that consultant was in the stock room and wouldn't be back for 10 mins... so wandered back to H of F and the consultant was back but said that because I had combination skin it wouldn't suit me.. and recommended something else... so I then went back to Debenhams where the lady there said it would suit me with my skin type and gave me a free sample phewwww
So I am very Happy... Grin

welshmum · 21/04/2006 14:03

The one I spoke to had the worst skin ever - fascinatingly horrific

crunchie · 21/04/2006 16:44

OK I have just bought a cheapie foundation - L'Oreal Tranlucide, which reading the entire thread, does me in the same way this Chanel stuff does. However I am prepared to be wrong, so I will be going to check tomorrow and nag the Debenhams Chanel woman into a freebie.

The L'Oreal one is a good one too and it's £8.99. Don't what ever you do get the L'Oreal Infallible. I tried this thinking GREAT a foundation with staying power. It is VERY drying. Although would be OK for a big night out after beauty flash balm or something. Not for daytime

snafu · 21/04/2006 16:47

Okay, well I went shopping and the orange Chanel ladies weren't anywhere to be seen so I bought some Rimmel instead at £6.49 in Superdrug.

Pure class, I am.

JoolsToo · 21/04/2006 17:09

no Chanel at my local Debenhams
I'm not going to buy it without a sample first either!

cod · 21/04/2006 19:19

cod · 21/04/2006 19:19

georginarf · 21/04/2006 19:20

I'm going to try to get some tomorrow, hopefully Dickens and Jones in Richmond will have it.

FrannyandZooey · 21/04/2006 19:22

I am still dissatisfied. Will try other Chanel counter when I get a chance but I don't think I can stand the smell, even to look dewy.

HC your sense of smell is really acute - how do you hack it?
