Can I just recommend a vv useful dress?

this dress? I bought it in the gorgeous forest green colour, it's so so comfy and easy to throw on in the morning with tights, brogues, boots, scarf etc. The material is lovely and hangs really well, its kind of textured and speckly. They do it in petite and midi length too. And it comes up v big so order a size down. Loose on the waist so flattering if you have a tummy. I can't stop wearing mine!

Dunno if it's just because I'm on the iPhone but the link doesn't come up with the specific dress. Can you describe it?

Oh, strange, it works for me on anmipad. It's called Speckle Roll Leeve Mini Dress, comes in deep forest green, burgundy, electric blue and cherry red. It's about three inches above the knee on me at 5ft 5, so not that mini IMO.

It would make me look even wider around the middle but could imagine it would look nice on others.

What do you wear over it? Long cardi? Belted?

I've been wearing shortish cardis with it, think a long cardi might make the whole look a bit too loose and baggy iykwim. Belted and unbelted are both great. Though I wore a wide burgundy belt with my green one and took it off cos I looked like an elf!

I think it's a great shape because it has that element of fit and flare but looks more grown up than skater dresses - it's got a cooler artists' smock vibe rather than being little girlish. (Can you tell i like it?!)

I knowwww but it's a slippery slope. Plus extra shipping because am outside the UK. No I will stand firm. Am wearing my Asos dress from this thread today and got 2 separate compliments on it - so I just need to shop my wardrobe, as they say, more often.

It's not low on the waist Dilly, it's quite high really - looks a bit low in the pic maybe.

I have a similar one ( well two ) from Dorothy Perkins. I wear with biker boots and leather jacket with scarf ..also thick tights!

Dilly i think the waist on the burgundy does look quite low - the others look a bit different. On my green one the waist is slightly above my belly button.
