this dress? I bought it in the gorgeous forest green colour, it's so so comfy and easy to throw on in the morning with tights, brogues, boots, scarf etc. The material is lovely and hangs really well, its kind of textured and speckly. They do it in petite and midi length too. And it comes up v big so order a size down. Loose on the waist so flattering if you have a tummy. I can't stop wearing mine!

Oh, that's nice. Does it come up long? May need the petite if it comes up big, am usually a 6-8 so might go down to the 6 or even the 4 as long as it isn't titchy in the length...

bishboschone · 15/12/2012 22:22

Hang on ill try

Farlalalala · 15/12/2012 22:24

It's on the long side for a mini dress and yes I'd order a 4 and a 6 to try both. I'm a small 8 and the 6 is still quite loose on me. You'd get away with the petite probably, it won't be that short.

Great - that makes my 'which colour' decision much simpler too because the green is out of stock in petite! Grey it is. Christmas for myself, thank you!

On phone , can someone convert link for me. There are loads on do website , I have black and red . I'm size 8 hourglass and its very flattering .

trixymalixy · 15/12/2012 22:27

I would like to wear that kind of thing, but I know from past experience it'll do nothing for me!

Farlalalala · 15/12/2012 22:33

is it this one bish? Looks v nice, but more like a tighter, skater shape? And v different texture to the topshop one. Love the teal...

OP posts:
bishboschone · 15/12/2012 22:38

Yep, it has a texture and the length of sleeve is very flattering .

bishboschone · 15/12/2012 22:39

Dptreat20 gives 20% off too.Smile

DialsMavis · 15/12/2012 22:53

Thank you! I had a bretonish one from Primark in the summer, but the fabrics is too thin for winter and it's going a bit holey now. V slimming shape on me (thank god, I've put on about a stone in the last couple of months)

awaywego1 · 15/12/2012 23:10

I've got it in the green and love it speckledyness! It's not massively flattering on me (short sz 12) so I wear with a belt, looks nice with a short cardi, coloured tights and boots-and a long sleeved top underneath.

supadupapupascupa · 15/12/2012 23:12

would look hideous on my hips even though i have a small waist / hour glass figure. Not sure i like it actually.......liking the fabric and the colours though...and the sleeves....

dexter73 · 16/12/2012 07:24

It does look a lot nicer on. My dd has it and wears it loads.

Farlalalala · 16/12/2012 09:15

Yes it is much nicer in person/on. I saw it in the shop first, don't think I'd have paid any attention to it if I'd been looking online.

I am a bit straight up and down, with narrow hips but not much of a waist. Do you think this style would look OK on me? No topshops or DPs near me to try IRL unfortunately.

Farlalalala · 16/12/2012 15:27

I think both the dp one and the ts one would suit you scripsi, as the dp fit and flare will give the illusion of a defined waist, and the ts one is looser and drapier, so better on someone with relatively small hips whose waist isn't their best feature. I think anyway, am not an expert! Not even sure what my own body type is, hehe.

Ooh I love that but couldn't breastfeed in it Sad shame as I would buy it in the green, grey and burgundy!

Farlalalala · 16/12/2012 19:47

Ah thats a shame Ginger, maybe they'll still have a version when you stop bfing. In no way have I ordered it in red, burgundy and electric blue (just to see which I like best of course...)

Gingersnap88 · 16/12/2012 22:38

Sshh, I might buy one anyway Blush

EllenParsons · 17/12/2012 00:43

Ooh I like it. Do have a few somewhat similar dresses but could always use another... I like the look of the green.

Farlalalala · 17/12/2012 21:02

The green is the nicest colour IMO Ellen. It's hard to tell from the pictures but it's a deep forest green with multi-coloured speckles, really unusual.

Just to say I tried this on today in green . It's considerably bigger than the dp ones. I tried on the 8 and it was massive . I asked if its supposed to be over sized but they said no .. Weird ! Anyways I would say size down if anyone is ordering it .
