So I m up for a little Xmas weight loss! Basically, I know at Xmas I put on weight so want to be well below my 'buffer zone' to enable me to join the festivities. Also want to look good in my Christmas party wear!
Useless on my own, need support to keep me on track!
Anyone in.............

Ooh DON'T give up chocolate. Think of all the antioxidant goodness you'll be missing. Just don't eat much of it, in one sitting!

laptopdancer · 05/12/2012 15:55

I have one of those light hot choc drinks each day (aldi). That does me.

fedupofnamechanging · 06/12/2012 08:42

Right, back on the diet properly today. Going on a walk with dd's school this morning, which will at least keep my fingers out of the biscuit tin!

When I first started this, I was so disciplined - am not sure what has happened, but I must get that early enthusiasm back.

ceeveebee · 06/12/2012 09:18

Bad bad bad day yesterday. Was work's Xmas party. I reckon I had 6 glasses of champagne/wine so that's blown my 1200 target by about double, and now my hangover needs feeding with bacon sarnies and lattes ... Oh dear. Back on it tomorrow!

Madmog · 06/12/2012 14:50

karmabeliever, if you really do feel hungry grab a piece of fruit or perhaps have some carrot or pepper sticks before you are tempted by anything else. I don't think it helps with it being cold, so an alternative is a piece of toast and a little jam (less calories than spread) with tea/coffee which may keep you going longer and just have a few less calories with your next meal.

Most of us are going to have days where we have lapses, ie not being able to resist something, meals out. I think the thing is to just accept that but be good the rest of the day. We can get there!!

fedupofnamechanging · 06/12/2012 14:58

Better day today, so far. Have had chocolate, but accounted for it within my calories. Have also been out walking a fair bit, so not just sitting down, all day.

Madmog, I think I need to go shopping and get some more fruit and other lowish calorie, but filling food for when I get the munchies.

Annoyingly, Haagan Dazs is on offer. This never happens when I am not on a diet!

laptopdancer · 06/12/2012 15:15

I was going to be lazy today as it's freezing and sat and sat and sat past my usual run time. Then I felt guilty and did 15 minutes (had to cut short as I'm off on school run soon).
Well at least I did that I guess .

plaingirly · 06/12/2012 17:50

Work Christmas party tomorrow - no idea what the food will be but it is always unhealthy!

Plus I have given up fizzy drinks so I don't even know what I will be drinking!

Still intending to log EVERYTHING!

Joycey29 · 07/12/2012 07:19

iPhone playing up so haven't been able to post but have been lurking!
Well done on all the weight loss.
It's about the time when I lose impetus but we can do it!
I agree, we need to accept the days we can t control but be strong when we can!
Come on girls!
All I want for Christmas is a waist!

joycey the hair cut might help with weightloss GrinGrin

Well I have had one glass of wine and a vodka as there wasn't another bottle of wine which I was very Sad about Grin

ceeveebee · 09/12/2012 08:23

Damn. Only lost 3lb in two weeks. I reckon most of that was in week 1, I've been over target 3 days this week. Oh well better than nothing and nearly 1/2 way to 1/2 stone!
Well done everyone else!

fedupofnamechanging · 09/12/2012 09:49

Am at 9.4, so have lost 1lb. have been gaining and losing this lb for ages though - am hoping it is not just water loss this time.

Out to lunch for mil's birthday later, so having soup for breakfast, which only has 200 calories. Feels a bit weird when everyone else has bacon sarnies, but I bough skinny jeans for the first time yesterday - am terrified of getting to fat to fit in them!

Well done to everyone who has lost this week.

Just done 30 mins on the stationary bike then had mandarins for breakfast!

Can't believe that I am actually wanting healthy food and making healthy choices - I think logging my food has made me think a lot more about what I am eating.

50 pounds to go to my goal weight!

Madmog · 09/12/2012 11:49

ceeveebee - they say it's better to loose it slowly and anyway, 3lbs is good - you should be proud of yourself - keep it up. If we have a bad week, the main thing is that we don't put anything back on.

ceeveebee · 09/12/2012 12:14

Thanks madmog. It did motivate me to go for a 30 min run this morning so feeling very virtuous now!

fedupofnamechanging · 09/12/2012 16:05

Went out for lunch - all the calories were printed on the menu. Ordered the lowest calorie lunch I could find (549), but then ballsed it up by eating choc fudge cake (I did skip the ice cream though).

What's worrying is that I could still murder a Dime bar and some chips!

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 18:02

ceev how much do you weigh right now? And how much do you want to loose? As If you only need to loose a little then it might be slower! I think the only reason I lost that much was as it was my first two weeks. I know it will soon start to slow down.

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 18:03

karma how much do you want to weigh? If I was 9.4 right now I would be so happy Grin

laptopdancer · 09/12/2012 18:14

Went shopping with the family today and where is DH desperate to go? A bloody buffet restaurant with all the high calorie food you could name.
So, back on the rails tomorrow! (and I will have to run my fat little legs off)
