I finally stumped up for Bottox and wow what a difference!

I don't consider myself to be a big beauty addict but 2 weeks ago I had Bottox and its made a subtle but significant difference. I've noticed people smiling back at me more and I realise that it must be because I don't look perpetually worried. No one in real life has figured out what I've done so I had to come onto to MN to share my news!

OP posts:

Smile me too I love it!

XBenedict · 21/11/2012 17:10

But did it hurt?

noddyholder · 21/11/2012 17:18

No just a 'crunch' Grin

BunnyLebowski · 21/11/2012 17:19

Crunch???? Shock

mumblechum1 · 21/11/2012 17:23

Seriously thinking about getting this done (but without telling anyone in RL), I have really deep frown lines and look like a miserable hag.

How long did it take and how much did it cost?

RavenVonChaos · 21/11/2012 17:26

Even tho I a dead agajnst it and a radical feminist.....

I want it too! Miserable old hag reporting for duty WinkWink

XBenedict · 21/11/2012 17:28

I have frown lines too and creases in my cheeks by the side of my nose - you know what I mean? Getting old Sad

Not sure about the crunching though ewww!

XBenedict · 21/11/2012 17:28

I would also be interested in how much it cost.

CajaDeLaMemoria · 21/11/2012 17:31

Bottox is the commonly used name for bum-botox around here. Makes it perky again...

I can't decide if the OP has had that or has made a spelling mistake...

I don't think I could be needled in the face. Or the bum, but especially the face. My MIL had it, everyone told her it didn't hurt. I could hear her shout outside the room. Ouch.

HoleyGhost · 21/11/2012 17:31

The wind changed and now I look permanently cross. I' m saving for botox

Botoxer · 21/11/2012 17:32

I agree it is really impressive, make up goes on smoother, you look fresher. ALTHOUGH, it depends on the practitioner, I went to one at a private hospital and she was crap. I said to her "I havent had any comments about looking good/better" and she brushed these off!

Then I found my current woman and not only is she cheaper, but better qualified and with better results.

It also makes you hugely cynical about all face creams as you KNOW what the answer is! I think it has done more for me as I have just hit 40 than anything else. I LOVE IT

i have two areas - above brows and crows feet. It is just perfect. Mine took aged to take effect, though, over a week.

People won't visit you if you spam the boards you moron.

noddyholder · 21/11/2012 19:16

Eliminates all the creams etc and you don't have to wear make up in teh day as much. I do just above brows nothing else I am 47 and it is my favourite thing esp after about a month when it looks its best.

XBenedict · 21/11/2012 19:18

noddyholder · 21/11/2012 19:25

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/11/2012 19:26

You are all bonkers! You are injecting yourselves with Botulism in the name of beauty! Embrace your crows feet!

omletta · 21/11/2012 19:28

Can we see pictures please?

noddyholder · 21/11/2012 19:28
