Have lost two stone since May by eating less and moving more - swim half a mile 5 times a week and never use a lift anywhere. Need to lose another 3lbs to get to my goal of 9st 12 for a height of five foot seven.

Hair being cut and higlighted on 20th Dec, Eyebrows will be tinted and shaped on that day too.

I know I'm late but can I join too!!

I had DD last year and still have a (large) muffin top to lose, hair that needs colouring, to start looking after my skin, nails and teeth and to get fitter!!

I love the idea of starting with just one or two things and then adding to it- think that could work for me!!

So I will start with drinking more water and looking after my skin and plan to add exercise in when DD stops teething and starts sleeping!!

Now what colour to dye hair... (quite fancy a purple or red... Too much?)

Hair booked for 22nd dec, too scared to have it done here in France again. I don't speak a word of it and last time spent 4 hours and the best part of 160? to come out with it exactly the same all be it an inch shorter Hmm Shock

Thankfully as a trained therapist i can do my own mani/ pedi. Eyebrow tint and eyelash tint. Currently waiting for a call back regarding semi permanent makeup for the eyebrows. Very excited!

Tonight is my off night from exercise, just ate a magnum ice cream Blush but went without lunch (see I told you I had issues!) and we walked around the park a few times so I don't think it's too bad....is it???

Been to zumba tonight and last night - yesterday was my first time ever! So uncoordinated! Plus have been eating healthy properly the last two days.

Been on the scales tonight (even though I am supposed to wait til Saturday and am down 4 pounds. Grin Probably water weight!

Still need to work out a grooming plan, drink more water, and actually take the vitamins and supplements I have bought!

Bit late here but can I join too!!

I already run whenever I can but am limited with opportunities with DCs and work etc. Need to enter some more races for next year (have promised myself 13) to keep my motivation up.

Would like to lose half a stone - will probably low carb as find it works reasonably well for me.

Long overdue haircut booked for weekend then I need to re-dye as not too happy with colour at mo.

Need to stay away from the choc and quit the wine (toughie for me!) also reduce crisp intake as they are my achillies heel!

Also need to sort my nails out as they are tragic!

I have had a rough couple of days with my back so couldn't shred this morning, also completely forgot to go to pilates last night - been going nearly a year, just totally forgot...worry about my memory sometimes..

Also having horrible cramps and wind from something I have eaten, partly why I am trying the low carbs too living things I am finding I haven't missed them, I am also hoping I will be less bloated and crampy - although I think this was some lentil and bacon soup from yesterday. Did have one slice of wholemeal tast today, frst time I have had bread in ages, but can't believe it is that so quickly - was an hour or so ago.

I am being pretty good with food, going swimming tomorrow and am planning to do the teeth whitening at the weekend, also will henna my hair again in a few weeks as gives it a lovely shine - but just so messy!!

Think I am down to about 10st 6 from about 10st 9 about three weeks ago - slow but steady so far!

Sorry, meant to say cocktails - Lush Henna is great - very messy till you get used to it - the rouge is great, never too much I find, if you have darker hair it gives it a lovely red sheen. It does have a lingering smell though, but I have found adding some essential oils and smothering my hair in coconut oil afterwards helps. (washing it out after obv.). Nice and cheap too - I get 3 colours out of every 2 blocks, about £7 each, and only do it every 6 weeks or so, the regrowth is very gradual.

Living - 13 races is brilliant!!

I'm pleased with my menu today apart from a bag of mccoys I had - need to be more organised and buy low fat crisps instead of going to the vending machine.

My menu today:

Cereal bar and fruit

Grilled chicken, small portion of rice, salad

Dinner was a wrap with homemade chilli made with no oil and with extra lean mince, with a slice of cheese and then baked in the oven.

Well, managed to stick to my 2 changes so far today - proper face wash at bedtime and no chocolate. Tomorrow's extra challenge is to start drinking 2 litres of water each day.. That's 3.5 pints so thinking that may feel more manageable as I can easily drink a pint of water in one go (it's just that normally I would do that just the once each day) :)

Are we going to have a weigh-in day, or stats list or anything?

Also, did anyone ever read the princessing threads over on Style and Beauty? If I manage to stick to this, I may try to incorporate a few more bits from there, it just seemed way too daunting to start doing all of it at once :)

Food-wise I did really well today, but then made soup for tea and ended up eating loads of bread and butter with it Blush Sad but no chocolate or crisps etc so better than I usually manage I suppose.

I read the princess threads but never managed to stick to it! I feel a lot more motivated now though.

I am actually thinking about what I am eating!

Don't ask me how but I'm 5lbs down this morning! 10st 12 :) Def motivation to keep it up!

I haven't done any of the other things on this thread like moisturising, more water, etc but I'm def thinking about what to wear to work rather than throwing on trousers and a top and I've done my hair in a funky twist rather than throwing it up in a ponytail :)

I'm doing "small achievable steps/changes". No massive exercise p,edges or cooking separate meals cause I'm "on a diet". But.... I WILL do a 30 min brisk walk (and its pissing it down here), I WILL drink the water and I WON'T touch the biscuit tin.

Will that do, for my first week?

Morning girls!

Right after a dreadful nights sleep (DH is now away til late Thurs night and my kitten LOVES aggressive cuddling randomly during the night!), I'm back! Yesterday I went a bit into my shell - sorry! I did however (apart from the chocolate bar), keep things up so my small changes are as follows:

Sunday : No Alcohol
Monday : No Choc's/Crisps (slipped with the choc a bit 35g's not tooooo bad)
Tuesday : No Caffeine.

Eliza rockchick I definitely think the small steps is the way to go, much easier to build on it, and as someone says it takes a few days to make something a habit. I found the princessing too overwhelming :(

Today I need to muck out my house! and then I think i'll start my running regime (can you tell ive been putting this off? I downloaded a 24 week Marathon training plan. I did the first two days last week (you are supposed to do it 6 out of 7 days!!!)...

winkle that's amazing well done! rockchick happy to do stats etc, but wouldn't know how to do it if there's some sophisticated mumsnet way (technophobe)

cocktails welcome

spoiltbrat in my book until magnums/chocolate/icecream is on your "one small thing a day list" I reckon it's open season - enjoy!

Hi everyone else thanks for the love yesterday :)

Right! Mucking out ;)

No techie way to do it, one person starts and the next copies, pastes and adds their own stats onto it.

Current weight:10st 4lbs
Target weight: 9st 7lbs

I did the 30mins walk/run thing. When DH gets back from Finland, going to ask him to download the Couch to 5k Podcasts which will gee me up a bit.

Water now....

Weighed myself this morning and realise that I have 1stone to lose to get back to where I was when I thought "I could do with getting a few pounds off!" [shocked]

Well done all!

Right I am on target with the water, have avoided the cakes I made yesterday before I saw this thread and have moisturised!

I find thinking about the things I haven't eaten that I didn't NEED to eat (like the cake or bread and butter with my lunchtime soup) makes me feel like I am achieving more... And make me feel less bad about the things I did have (the hot chocolate and marshmallows for example!!) Blush

Just power walked around central paris, in heels, pushing a pram and holding an umbrella! Surely some cals burnt in the 4 miles or so that I walked?

One small orange and a chicken wrap, no dressing. That's it.

I can't weigh myself due to batteries on scales being dead. Weiss weigh ourselves much because the batteries only last max 2 weeks Shock dh thinks they are rubbish so has ordered ones that link up with the I phone and keeps tabs on you. Just what I need!

Went for new batteries today and they want 9?!! For two round ones! Only 50p in Dubai where we used to live and so much cheaper in uk too.

One good thing I did today was to put back a packet of haribo. I had them in the basket but I remembered this thread and dumped them amongst the nappies Grin

Anyway, personal training tonight. Battery shopping tomorrow Smile

And missmakesstuff I'll look into the henna thanks for the tip! I'll have a look at it next time i'm in town. My hair is (now) light-mid brown which is why I worry about going a strong colour. If it was darker I know it would look ace (black hair Envy).

I used to dye it different colours or bleach it in my 20's but not sure I can get away with it now I'm in my mid 30's but it's definitely one of those things that would make me feel more like me and less like 'just' mum.
