Always remember laughing at noddyholders posts about her mum and her penchant for silver chunky jewellery and flicky hair.

what item epitomises your mum?

Mid-calf length skirt with ankle boots.
A shirtwaister dress.
Anything from Per Una.

Teeb · 14/10/2012 16:27

A line skirts and comfy shoes.

Many a shopping trip where she gravitates towards the M&S 'Classic' range and exclaims "ooh they look comfy!" in glee.

MaureenCognito · 14/10/2012 16:27

tartan trews?

My mum copies everything I wear if she likes it.

I started wearing pumps so she got some.

I got a lipsy mac so she got one.

But the one thing she does wear that I will never wear are her leggings in white!

She wears white leggings! She has 2 children under 3! I can spot my mum in a crowded street wearing those Grin

dexter73 · 14/10/2012 16:28

My mum loves Per Una and too much costume jewellery. I would never wear this anyway!

AKissIsNotAContract · 14/10/2012 16:28

Samsara perfume.

MaureenCognito · 14/10/2012 16:29

your mum has children under three?

All one colour. Brown shoes with brown cords and a brown top woth brown vest underneath? No thank you.

MrsSchadenfreude · 14/10/2012 16:32

Anything by Per Una.

Acrylic jumpers.

Too much gold jewellery. When she visited me in Africa, I told her not to bring/wear any jewellery as it would make her a target for muggers. She turned up with three gold chains, Hatton Garden on her fingers and a few gold bracelets for good measure. She looked like Mr T.

PrincessPumpkinshoutsBOO · 14/10/2012 16:33

My very stylish mother spot the sarcasm likes to wear jogging bottoms with a knitted jumper [shudders] this is usual for her, I have never been able to wear jogging bottoms outside of the gym because of this, and also steer clear of that style of jumper, (think bonmarche, market stall sits on the waist type things)

MaureenCognito · 14/10/2012 16:33

lol.
my mum still partial to a fleece occasionally

Not my mum - but my MIL - per Una jeans - I did have some but refuse to wear them or buy any more. I love my MIL but don't want to dress like her!

Labootin · 14/10/2012 16:35

Multiple engagement rings and 3 separate wedding rings

Youth dew and other heavy perfumes and too much cleavage (she does still have amazing tits but boy does she love to show them off)

noddyholder · 14/10/2012 16:35

Furry coats I mean really furry.
Velvet a gogo
Super expensive glitzy boots (even her wellies)

dexter73 · 14/10/2012 16:39

My mum wears this brooch on her purple ruched, padded Per Una jacket.

Purplemonster · 14/10/2012 16:39

It's too late for me, I HAVE turned into my mother. I've developed a recent obsession with scarves. I found myself wandering around M&S saying 'oooh, that's a nice scarf' the other day and I knew I was done for. There's no saving me.

Labootin · 14/10/2012 16:44

she does have an AMAZING shoe collection though ... A succession of rich elderly boyfriends mean her closet is stacked high with my (sic) namesakes

I just have to work out how to stretch them by two sizes before I nick them (shes a teeny size 4)

noddyholder · 14/10/2012 16:45

labootin I am a 4 can she adopt me?

Dawndonna · 14/10/2012 16:45

White trousers with a fat arse!

OhWouldYouJust · 14/10/2012 16:48

Jean Paul Gaultier perfume
Blue eyeliner
10 denier black tights with patent court shoes
Anything bright red. My mum loves the colour red. I cannot stand it as it reminds me too much of her!! (not a great relationship)

Labootin · 14/10/2012 16:50

Noddy I couldn't possibly inflict her on you ..the therapy bills would negate the free shoes ...

Plus she's more the take you out "partying" than adopting type (she can drink more than my 6foot 2 DH)

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream · 14/10/2012 16:50

Maureen yes I have a sister who is 2.8 and a brother who is 1.9

whattodoo · 14/10/2012 16:53

lisad123 · 14/10/2012 16:53
