What are the last three items of clothing you bought, and why?

I've bought a long sleeved black layering t shirt from H&M, a black and white Breton also from H&M and an animal print jumper from Whistles which is -bet lynch i fear or really subtly sexy and stylish...lying on my bed while I decide if I'll keep it. Bought them all because apart from the Breton ( of which I have about a dozen) I don't have anything like them.

Technicallly it was probably 3 pairs of Falke rights (anthracite, marine and merlot) but I will tell you about the most interesting things I have bought recently:

Oh, dress and skirt are because I have recently RTW after back to back pgs and need new stuff, vest and high tops are because that's the kind of shiz I wear off-duty cos I'm gangsta like that

A pair of Chuck Taylor Converse. Because... Well just because I fell in love with them. If only the Yodel delivery man would actually deliver them... I've been waiting since September

Other than that I don't actually remember. Probably tracksuit bottoms or something suitably boring as I was pregnant until 10 days ago. Must be time for a shopping spree, surely?

Black with white flecks slouchy jumper from New Look. V grungy and 1997ish, I love it!

Red bargainous coat from Asda for nineteen whole pounds!!

Oh and I know this is 4 but bought at the same time was a pair of PJs from Asda. red tartan bottoms and navy blue LS top with 'I'd rather be in bed' on the front - very fitting for me!!

All bought because I needed to wrap up warm for the winter :)

Blue wool blazer from Zara because it makes me look like I have a teeny waist

Cream tweedy jacket from Zara because It was love at first sight.

Hand knitted jumper from Help the Aged, a whole 6 quid and clearly never worn. Not a brilliantly perfect knitting job but I don't care because I'm going to wear it layered over jeans in a grungy style, and it's a great shape and a fabulous colour for me that isn't available on the High Street this year. I've worn it already and I'm really pleased with it .

I sound so abstemious, but if you'd asked me this last month my answer would have involved half the Jigsaw sale.

Chloé Mini Marcie bag - because I like it and it's useful on days that I don't have to carry a lot of stuff.

Topshop straight-leg black jeans - black jeans are an essential piece in my wardrobe and I was finding my old skinny ones too restricting to wear.

APC denim skirt - because it's a useful casual piece that can be worn with loads of different tops both winter and summer.

An awful pair of jeans from Next. A halter-necked top from a charity shop (turquoise and orange) and a black short sleeved top also from a charity shop. I don't buy jeans or trousers from charity shops (feel a bit icky). Can't afford much in the way of clothing these days.

Running tights £36- Ronhill lost weight and my old ones are falling off me, very happy with them.
Snakeskin jeans Primark - they were a bargain at £12 and a bit glam for a night out.
A line chiffon dress - Primark £12- really nice dress, bought for a night out, shame it's polyester and not silk - I'd have paid 10 times more for a dress like it in better fabrics.

Most recent purchase is wine-coloured swallow print jeggings from M&S. Have had my eye on them for a while and bought them because Zoidberg mentioned the M&S sale upthread. £25 down to £10, so thank you!

Two long sleeve tops from ASOS. Bought because I needed to get layers for Autumn/Winter.

And prior to that, Ash Thelma canvas wedges (from Ebay), because I have been obsessing over them for ages. (DH has since bought me a brand new leather pair in a different colour & slightly different style for my birthday!)

really lovely comptoir des cotonniers/uniqlo jacket - because I am cold, and DS2 has nicked my perfectly battered barbour jacket. Wore it today and couldn't be more pleased.

gap pure oversized black polo neck - because I had a hankering for it!

does jewellery count as clothing? If so, the third thing was a pair of stacking silver rings from a designer called Nancye Church in Gozo - beautiful things!
