I've just bought my first item from TK Maxx and now I want to know more about it...

I didn't have time to browse as my two DDs were with me, but I went in for the first time yesterday and found something I'd been looking EVERYWHERE for and am very pleased. Never occurs to me to go in as it always strikes me as being full of junk.

If you think it should become a staple shop in my limited list of go-to retailers, tell me why you like it.

Or why you don't...

You are not the only one SM but I am not going to fess up either

I guess that's why it's such a jumble sale!!

I went back and bought the all saints tweed blazer. It's still strategically hidden in the back of my car though, have already spent quite a lot on clothes this month..... Blush

I find it really good for jeans. I'm a terrible shape to fit and TKMaxx has loads of different brands so I know I can take a handful to the changing room and find at least one pair that will fit.

I don't think anyone has mentioned luggage but they have great discounts on branded luggage too.

I think you have to take each thing on its own merits. Most of the things I've got from there have lasted fine, years in fact, better than something from next or M&S for the same price. Can't imagine ever buying knickers or something obviously pre-worn though (will cast a more beady eye in future visits!).

My goose down duvet was a TKM bargain and I'm still blissed out 3 years later.

I'm sure like all shops they have a range of quality and some of it is indeed rubbish/overpriced, but it's a bit like saying everything from Ikea is rubbish. Some of their furniture is weaker than its cardboard box but other things last a lifetime, it's not all the same.

£20 for geotex leather knee high boots for dd1. Nice knee highs for the snow and rain, not horrid knee highs on 8 year old iyswim.

Far too many bargains over the years, not least my Moshcino sunglasses for £20...
