I am wearing a black patent pair of pumps atm

nearly bought red but decided they were too 'young' Sad

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:16

patent shoes are fabulous. black for the older less daring shoe fanatic... couloured and shiny for the bolder amongst us. side bonus is i find patent really hardwearing. stays looking good much longer than most leather... go for it.

brimfull · 02/03/2006 10:41

thought you were on about little girls shoes!

Didn't realise they were back in,remember them being fashionable years ago!

They say never wear a fashion twice don't they?

so a big nay here!

cod · 02/03/2006 10:42

Carmenere · 02/03/2006 10:43

George do a really nice pair of red patent pumps for £11 which puts them firmly into the wear them for the two weeks that they are 'in' and bin them without feeling bad catagory Grin

brimfull · 02/03/2006 10:44

that's exactly the look cod

brimfull · 02/03/2006 10:45

oh and the pumps have to have a satin bow

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:46

now you're just being silly. you clearly cannot see the shiny beauty that is a gorgeous black patent leather shoe. very versatile. adds an "edge" to a plain black get up. v nice with opaque black tights. no really. own 2 pairs. one flats, one heels. if its good enough for prada is good enough for me.

brimfull · 02/03/2006 10:48

you do realise that gentlemen can see right up you skirt when wearing them don't you

MrsBadger · 02/03/2006 10:49

blee!

My feet are big enough without attracting attention by being shiny. Of course if you have cute little petite feet than wear them by all means and I'll hate you from afar.

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:50

a "gentleman" wouldnt do that. a "lady" wouldnt think a "gentleman" would do that....

Enid · 02/03/2006 10:52

cool

I dont care

tbh if anyone wants to look up my skirt when I am 32 wks pg and the size of lithuania they are welcome

I am wearing mine today with opaque black tights, dusty blue top shop maternity dress and black cardi.

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:53

exactly enid. am sure you look a vision of loveliness. how big is lithuania? (geog not my strong point)

brimfull · 02/03/2006 10:53

It's the gentlemanly way of checking out Arabella's muff.Arabella secretly doesn't mind and shines her pumps especially

Enid · 02/03/2006 10:54

pretty big

not as big as some though

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:55

mrs b. dont let me upset you but i wear mine with pride on my enormous size 40/41 feet...

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 10:56

enid. some countries or some pg women? at least you have the loveliness of your shoes to take your mind of it

Enid · 02/03/2006 10:58

mine are size 7

they balance out the bump Wink
