i really like a pair of green patent shoes on asos what do you all think about patent pumps?

OP posts:
bundle · 02/03/2006 11:34

pumps better word than gusset though

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 11:34

yes yes bundle. or something a bit sharp and edgy. often wear mine with smart but modernist comme de garcons black wool dress and opaques. i think looks good (and that what matters to me). no piss taking re c de g dress please?

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 11:39

gusset must always be preceded by word "moist" for full eewwww effect imo. sophiecofw, why make them do something they are bound to enjoy?? the rl sophiecofw should be banned from wearing them as is likes of her that gave them (undeserved and misguided) bad name in first place. am off to stroke shoes again. have done no work today by virtue of putting all energy into virtual shoe debate. madness (but v enjoyable)

poppadum · 02/03/2006 11:42

Shiny patent shoes always remind me of Hercule Poirot , and then I get to thinking about his waxed moustaches. Perhaps not the image you are aiming for, Laughing Lil?

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 11:44

i admit it im still here. who / what the f is laughing lil??

sophiecountessofwessex · 02/03/2006 11:47

maybe she meant LOL as in {laughing?} lol?

anyway. kids on asbos would never leave the house if you forced them to wear patent leather. save a shit load on ankle tagging

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 11:50

soph, is it true you are pg? there are apparently lots of people desperate to know...

oops. well spotted poppadum. only scared off by the lunatic fringe patent leather hating element. ll you have my continued and wholehearted support (sorry about rudely forgetting you in my enthusiasm for all things patent. did i mention my red and black patent leather bag....?

bundle · 02/03/2006 11:55

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 11:57

blimey ll. you start raging impassioned debate, entice me to waste whole morning championing cause of all things patent and behind our backs not only go shopping for the bloomin things but actually do something constructive as well. respect. shoes sound fab. flats or heels? round or pointy?

they are flat rounded toe flat shoes .. I never realised this thread would take off so much! In the end I decieded I would buy them just because I liked them weather they were 'fashionable' or not. I don't think I would buy high patent shoes but think they would look lovely with skinny jeans. Bought them from asos.

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 12:09

mmmm. desparate. i remember your recent thread re chaviness of football shirt purchasing.... think you are disqualified from valid opinion re patent leather. football shirt and patent... "well its a look but not a good one" as my rl bf would say.

controlfreaky · 02/03/2006 12:13

hausfrau. do keep up. weve already had that old chestnut...

laughinglil · 02/03/2006 12:14

I won't have to wear patent knickers hehe I will wear them with jeans!

OP posts:
bundle · 02/03/2006 12:14
